My husband I and stayed for 2 weeks at the Rui Palace. We stayed two weeks as we were aware that it far from some of the major attractions. They do however have many things that can be done around the resort if you are not staying as long. The weather was amazing, food was good, entertainment was good, room was comfortable. 4 stars from me!!
Had a relaxing vacation!,
Blue bay was a nice small resort, the staff were very friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to help.
Food was good, always found something to eat at the Buffet, the BBQ night was great but way too much meat, beautiful huge beach great for walking
Had a nice stay with friends. Cheers
We had a very relaxing vacation at The Verandah Resort and Spa. The facilities are very well kept and the grounds are beautiful. The beach is very clean and there's plenty of water sports available. Olsen took us on the Hobie Cat and he was very accomodating. The lunch and dinner buffet was delicious, especially Caribbean night. Nightly entertainment was mediocre b/c it seems like the resort attracts more families and older couples. If you want a lively resort then this is not for you but [... read more]if you want to relax then its perfect. We would definitely come back when we have a family.
Riu does it again!
We loved this hotel and had such a great vacation in Cabo. Literally, we did not see a single cloud the entire 7 days we were there. The weather was great, the hotel was great, the food was great (loved the Indian), the pool was great, the room was great. We had the best hotel maid, who took great care of us. Thank you Iris! It was a working holiday for me and I arrived to find that there was no desk in the room. They brought me a little table and a chair, which was very nice. Not that it's impossible and don't get me wrong, the beach is beautiful and very clean, but there can be some really rough waves and the water is cold. I'm usually a beach person, but the pools are very nice with great views. A cab ride into the city is 250 pesos each way, but there's also a public bus that costs about 15 pesos. There is also a Walmart within walking distance of the hotel, which came in handy because we forgot our sunscreen. We went into the city and took a water taxi around Land's End (El Arco) for 260 pesos each. The tour agents will try to sell you a sunset dinner cruise for between $50 and $90 US, but it didn't seem worth it.
I loved the Paradise Island excursion. It was a beautiful beach and the staff were great. I had the best massage ever and would highly recommend it. The view of the beach at the resort was beautiful. The rooms could use some updating.
