3London to Esbjerg
Meet your Contiki Crew as we travel from London to Harwich to join our DFDS ferry. The 20-hour crossing to Denmark allows plenty of time to meet fellow travellers and make the most of the many facilities on board the ship. Ferry
4Esbjerg to Copenhagen
We arrive in Esbjerg late morning then travel across Denmark to Copenhagen, the city of Hans Christian Andersen. Cabin (D)
5Copenhagen Sightseeing
Our sightseeing tour includes Copenhagen's famous sights like the Geffion Fountain, the Royal Palace and the Little Mermaid. Perhaps a visit to the Carlsberg Brewery this morning. Cabin (B)
6Copenhagen to Stockholm
After a short ferry crossing, we arrive in Sweden and head north to Stockholm, Sweden's capital city. Cabin (B,D)
7Stockholm Sightseeing
Today an orientation tour with an opportunity to visit the 17th Century warship 'The Vasa'. Tonight why not explore the cobbled streets of Gamla Stan (the old town) and sample the local fare. Cabin (B)
8Stockholm to Oslo
Our route today takes us through Sweden and across the Norwegian border to the capital city of Oslo. Cabin (B,D)
9Oslo Sightseeing
A whole day to enjoy the many sights. A chance to visit the Kontiki Museum with its amazing raft, see the Gustav Vigeland sculptures in Frogner Park.Cabin (B)
10Oslo to Andalsnes
On to Lillehammer, host town for the 1994 Winter Olympics, and perhaps a chance to try the bobsled run? We then follow a picturesque route past lakes, waterfalls and mountains to our campsite on the Romsdals Fjord. Cabin (B,D)
11Andalsnes Sightseeing
Don't leave your camera behind as today we follow the 'Trolls Road' past the Stigfass Falls and up the mountain for fabulous views of the glacial valley below. Our optional fjord cruise, past some of the most breathtaking scenery in the world, is an experience you'll never forget. Cabin (B,D)
12Andalsnes to Trondheim
On to Trondheim, the former capital of Norway, an ancient town where much of the original wooden architecture still remains. See the Kristiansten Fortress and perhaps enjoy a chance to go ten-pin bowling. Youth Hotel (B)
13Trondheim to Mo I Rana
We journey to 'Hell' today, before taking in more of Norway's stunning beauty as we travel past spectacular scenery to Mo I Rana for two nights. Cabin (B,D)
14Mo I Rana Sightseeing
A chance to visit the Svartisen glacier (Norway's second largest), subject to weather conditions. This afternoon we visit the Arctic Circle Centre for our first glimpse of northern Scandinavia. Cabin (B,D)
15Mo I Rana to Moen
Today, we cross the Arctic Circle to Narvik, a bustling port completely rebuilt after World War II. Our campsite tonight is situated by the river. Cabin (B,D)
16Moen to Hammerfest
On to our northern-most point, the 'Land of the Midnight Sun', crossing some of the most famous salmon fishing grounds in the world. This evening why not visit Nord Kapp, the Northernmost point of Europe. Cabin (B,D)
17Hammerfest at Leisure
A chance to try your hand at deep-sea fishing with our local Captain as you enjoy the view of the scenic coastline. Tonight enjoy a fish supper. Cabin (B,D)
18Hammerfest to Rovaniemi
We leave the mountains of Norway to travel south through the lakes and forests of Finland. Cross back over the Arctic Circle to Rovaniemi, the traditional home of Santa Claus. Cabin (B,D)
19Rovaniemi to Jyvaskyla
First a visit to Santa's house before we head further south to Jyvaskyla. Perhaps a game of volleyball or a sauna at our lakeside camp. Cabin (B,D)
20Jyvaskyla to Helsinki
We continue southwards to Helsinki, Finland's capital. Our sightseeing tour takes in the Olympic Stadium, the massive underground church and Sibelius Park, a memorial to Finland's greatest composer in the 'White City of the North'. Youth Hotel (B)
21Helsinki to Stockholm (Baltic Ferry)
Time to further explore Helsinki. Tonight we board the luxurious Baltic ferry for our overnight 'thousand island' cruise to Stockholm, Sweden. Ferry (B)
22Stockholm to Copenhagen
Arriving in Stockholm early morning, we begin our journey southwards across Sweden. After a short ferry crossing, we arrive in Copenhagen. Cabin (D)
23Copenhagen to Esbjerg And Harwich
After the morning in Copenhagen we journey across Denmark to the port of Esbjerg, there we board the DFDS ferry for our relaxing cruise back to England. A great excuse for a last night party Ferry (B)
24Harwich to London
Arriving early evening in Harwich, we take the coach back to London.
25London - Return
Make your way to the airport for your return flight home. The tour price does not include a night in London at the end of your tour.
