Overnight flight to Cape Town.
2ARRIVE CAPE TOWN
Welcome to Cape Town or “The Mother City of Africa”. From your luxurious hotel room in beautiful Bantry Bay, enjoy views over the Atlantic Ocean or majestic Lion's Head. This afternoon explore Cape Town. Perhaps take a walk along Sea Point promenade – popular amongst locals for romantic strolls, jogging and surfing off its white-sand beaches. There’s also a park, a mini-golf course and mini blue train for the children. (Dinner)
3CAPE TOWN SIGHTSEEING
This morning, take the Aerial Cableway to the top of iconic Table Mountain, weather permitting, for incredible views over Cape Town and Table Bay. In the afternoon, it’s about seals, penguins and the natural beauty of the Cape. Enjoy a fascinating tour of Seal Island, where you’ll be just metres from these joyful creatures and get to understand both their habitat and behaviour patterns. Next, a scenic drive to the famed Cape Of Good Hope Nature Reserve. Then it’s off to Boulders Beach, a superb view site to watch a colony of penguins in their natural habitat. (Full Breakfast)
4CAPE TOWN SIGHTSEEING AND AT LEISURE
Get ready for even more adventures as the day begins at the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront with its world-renowned Two Oceans Aquarium, a diverse underwater nature reserve featuring over 3,000 sea creatures. The afternoon is yours to explore the picturesque V&A Waterfront, wander past vibrant cafés and beaches or take in some of this incredible city’s history and culture. (Full Breakfast)
5CAPE TOWN - EXCURSION TO STELLENBOSCH
Stellenbosch is the heart of the Cape Winelands, home to some of the most breathtaking wine estates. Explore and learn about the history and architecture of this historical town before visiting the Cheetah Outreach facility at the renowned Spier wine estate. Here, you’ll have the rare privilege of interacting closely with hand-raised ambassador cheetahs. Then relax with a gourmet picnic on the tranquil lawns of Spier. After lunch, you’ll be introduced to two owls and an eagle! Experienced bird handlers ensure that Wally, the Wahlberg’s Eagle, Fagan, the Barn Owl, and Sykes, the Spotted Eagle Owl meet you under perfect conditions. (Full Breakfast / Lunch)
6CAPE TOWN AT LEISURE

7CAPE TOWN - OUDTSHOORN
This morning, set off for the fabulous feather capital of the world – Oudtshoorn and its ostriches! The journey there reveals scenic beauty unique to this corner of South Africa. On the way, you will have the opportunity to enjoy a traditional South African lunch. Then back on the road again, you’ll soon notice the landscape dotted with large flightless birds. The question is – who’ll be riding one tomorrow? (Full Breakfast)
8OUDTSHOORN SIGHTSEEING
You have an action-packed day ahead! From the intriguing facts and fiction of crocodiles, to the extreme beauty of the cheetahs at the Cango Wildlife Ranch, we top that by an exploration of the famous Cango Caves. The majesty of these dripstone caverns opening into vast halls of towering stalagmite and stalactite formations will simply take your breath away. By now you’ve earned a hearty lunch of authentic South African fare at the legendary Kobus Se Gat restaurant, with the Swartberg Mountains as the stunning backdrop. If you’ve been longing to ride that ostrich, here’s your chance. At Safari Ostrich Farm, you’ll not only learn about the lives of these hardy, enigmatic creatures, but the brave can sit on one, and the adventurous can attempt to ride one! (Full Breakfast / Lunch)
9OUDTSHOORN - KNYSNA
Now for a day of extreme beauty, a wealth of wildlife and a little decadence! It all begins as you traverse the breathtaking Outeniqua Pass and travel via the charming town of George to one of South Africa’s most beautiful resorts, Knysna. This is the heart of the beautiful Garden Route and renowned for its glorious oysters, which of course, we need to taste! Next is a visit to the Elephant Sanctuary where you can get up close to these gentle giants. From land to air, we tour the Birds of Eden, an internationally acclaimed free-flight bird sanctuary with a massive 2-hectare dome, the largest in the world. Now get ready for some cheeky monkey business at Monkeyland, a free roaming multi-species primate sanctuary. Here, you can wander around marvelling at the antics of the many different species of monkeys and lemurs. (Full Breakfast)
10KNYSNA AT LEISURE
A day of leisure and pleasure awaits you! Your Tour Director will recommend a number of optional extra activities, such as a cruise on the Knysna Lagoon, enjoying the sight of the gigantic cliffs that form the Knysna Heads and an organised excursion to the Featherbed Nature Reserve, a National Heritage Site accessed only by ferry, and home to the endangered blue duiker antelope. 11KNYSNA - ADDO NATIONAL PARK
You’re off on safari! Your journey continues eastwards through the wonderfully wild Tsitsikamma Forest to Addo Elephant National Park. This is South Africa’s third largest national park and home to one of the densest populations of African elephant. The Park boasts the Big Five – elephant, rhino, lion, buffalo and leopard – and your hosts at Kuzuko Lodge through their trackers, will try to make sure you see as many of them as possible! This fully inclusive experience includes game drives with the professional lodge staff and game rangers. (Full Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)
12ADDO NATIONAL PARK SIGHTSEEING
You won’t want to sleep in! It’s an exciting day in Africa filled with safari activities – and to kick things off, we’re on the trail of elephant! 13ADDO NATIONAL PARK - PORT ELIZABETH
It’s the last day of your South African family adventure, but there’s time to dig into a good breakfast and enjoy your last hours here. Later this morning, you’ll be transferred to Port Elizabeth airport for your flight homewards, carrying a few souvenirs, great photos and a whole lot of fantastic stories to share with those back home.
