UK Vacations

The United Kingdom, consisting of England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Wales, has always been a popular travel destination. For the history enthusiast, United Kingdom vacations provide the opportunity to explore thousands of years of European history, including prehistoric monuments such as Stonehenge, countless historic castles and many other significant points of interest. The art historian may wish to take advantage of vacation packages that provide access to the homelands of renowned literary legends such as Shakespeare, Chaucer, Arthur Conan Doyle, Dickens, and so many more contributors to the wonderful canon of European literature. Western arts enthusiasts have the opportunity to explore the sights and sounds that gave birth to so many great visual and musical artists, from the early pioneers in the classical arts to the legendary Beatles and more. From London to Liverpool, Glasgow to Birmingham, there is so much to be discovered on a United Kingdom vacation. Enjoy exciting theme parks, quaint pubs, beautiful parks and gardens, monuments and museums, extraordinary castles, historic buildings, world-class shopping, and so much more.

Attractions: United Kingdom vacations have much to offer culture and history enthusiasts of all ages. There are many extraordinary castles to explore. The late medieval moated Bodiam Castle, located in East Sussex, is one not to be missed. The Drumlanrig Castle in Dumfries and Galloway is another great castle known for its distinctive pink colour and beautiful gardens. As a testament to the fact that British people do love good food, the gourmet Borough Market is another highlight. For the pre-history buff, Avebury in Wiltshire features stone circles, avenues and barrows that pre-date Stonehenge, the more widely-known monument. Nature lovers will appreciate the New Forest in Hampshire – a 1000-year-old forest of exquisite beauty where deer and ponies may be seen wandering.

Many epic sights are sure to delight the imagination, including Glastonbury Tor in Somerset – a mystical hill believed to have been the well-known Isle of Avalon of Arthurian legend. In contrast to its many modern urban centres, the United Kingdom has countless picturesque towns and villages to be enjoyed, including Lyme Regis in West Dorset seaside town known for its fossil-rich beaches and cliffs. Rosslyn Chapel, near Edinburgh, is one of many great churches to be seen on a United Kingdom package holiday. This fifteenth-century church is well-known for its association with the Knights Templar, the Holy Grail, and the Da Vinci Code.

The list goes on and on! Experience it for yourself on a United Kingdom vacation by calling 1-800-665-4981 today.

Montana Hotel Kensington: Great location for the price

A block away from the "tube" (subway) exit on the street so you can't go wrong. Tons of restaurants near by, museums too. Seriously fabulous location. The hotel itself was undergoing some renovations at the time we visited but the noise didn't interfere with sleep or anything and it was very clean and tidy. The staff were great too and the free breakfast was a perk. If we ever return to England we will be looking to stay here again.
