Itinerary:

Day 1

Toronto/Beijing
Leave Toronto at 17:20 for your non-stop overnight flight, Cross the International Date Line.


Day 2

Arrive Beijing
Arrive Beijing at 19:00 local time. Your local guide will meet you at the arrival hall and your professional bus driver will transfer you to the hotel for a good night’s rest. Dinner will be on your own.


Day 3

Beijing
(BB/L/SD) Visit Tiananmen Square, the largest square in the world, where many historical events took place. The Tiananmen Gate is the most southern gate to the Forbidden City. Visit the Forbidden City, the imperial living and official area of Ming and Qing Dynasty. This is the largest group of best preserved ancient Chinese architectures in the World. Chinese Lunch at local restaurant. Visit the Temple of Heaven, the imperial pray altar where the emperors of Ming and Qing Dynasties worship the God of Heaven, to have a good harvest. Dinner highlights the delicious Peking Roast Duck. Optional: Kong Fu Martial Arts Evening Show ($55 P.P.)


Day 4

Beijing
(BB/L) Visit the Great Wall, one of the 7 wonders of the world, #1 sightseeing spot of China. It is reported by the US Astronaut to be one of the few man-made constructions viewable from space by the naked eye. Chinese lunch at local restaurant. During lunch, a chance to visit a Jade shop inside the restaurant building. On the way, view the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympic Games main stadiums: the Bird’s Nest Stadium and the Water Cube. Visit Hutong by rickshaw in Beijing old neighborhood where local people live. Take a stroll in Houhai Area, the famous neighborhood with very expensive courtyards, full of bars, gift shops, and restaurants. Dinner will be on your own tonight. Optional: Evening Golden Mask Show $65 P.P.


Day 5

Beijing/Xi'an
(Box Breakfast/L/D Early morning transfer to the airport for your flight to Xi’an. Upon arrival in Xi’an, visit the Small Wild Goose Pagoda, visit an Antique Shop. Learn to write Chinese calligraphy. Visit the Muslim’s Quarter, a very busy local market area, and the Grand Mosque. Chinese lunch and dinner at a local restaurant. You will see a magnificent noodle demonstration during lunch or dinner.


Day 6

Xi'an
(BB/L/SD) Visit the Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses. This is another wonder of the world, part of the Tomb of QinShiHuang, the first emperor of China, the same emperor who built the Great Wall. Visit a Terra Cotta Warriors Factory, to make a Terra Cotta warrior to keep for a souvenir. Tang Dynasty Show with Dumpling Banquet Dinner.


Day 7

Xi'an/Shanghai Suzhou
(BB/L/D) Early morning transfer to Xi’an airport. Upon arrival in Shanghai, visit Yu Garden, a famous private garden of the Ming Dynasty, and the Old City, with many tourist gift shops and local dim sum restaurants. Walk on the Bund, a waterfront area in central Shanghai, which faces the modern skyscrapers in the Pudong District. Drive to Suzhou by coach (approx 1 hour). Chinese lunch and dinner at local restaurant. Tonight overnight stay in Suzhou.


Day 8

Suzhou/Shanghai
(BB/L/D) Visit Master-of-Nets Garden, UNESCO World Heritage Site, one of the most famous gardens in Suzhou, built in 1140 in the Southern Song Dynasty. Chinese lunch at local restaurant. In the afternoon, take a boat trip on the world famous Jinghang Grand Canal. The oldest part of the Canal dates back to the 5th century BC, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the longest as well as the oldest canal in the world. Starting at Beijing, it passed four provinces ending in Hangzhou! Coach to Shanghai in the late afternoon, we’ll have dinner tonight in Shanghai and enjoy the amazing Acrobatic Show at theater. Overnight stay in Shanghai.


Day 9

Shanghai
(BB/L) Visit Shanghai Museum, Tianzifang - a fantastic touristic arts and crafts enclave that has developed from a renovated traditional residential area in the French Concession area of Shanghai. It is now home to boutique shops, bars and restaurants. Chinese lunch at local restaurant. Visit a Silk Spinning Factory, get some knowledge of Silk production from the Cocoons. Your chance to buy 100% silk items. Tonight, we will have farewell dinner at local restaurant & cruise to take in the breathtaking views onboard the Huangpu River Cruise.


Day 10

Beijing/Toronto
(Box Breakfast) Early morning, transfer to the airport for your connecting flight to Toronto. Arrive Toronto at 15:15 Toronto Time (same date).
