For the first edition of Insider Scoop, tripcentral.ca’s Jean Arseneau and Kevin Dupuis take some time to share with us fond memories of the Celebrity Reflection Inaugural Event in Miami from this past December. It is evident that the two have a lot of exciting stories to share of their adventures from the 3-day sailing event in Florida. Cruise Event: Celebrity Reflection Inaugural in Miami

(A) The best part about cruising is that your ship is your hotel. You don’t have to pack and unpack consistently. No transfers are required!
(Q) How do you select one cruise over another?
(A) Every cruise line will offer a different style of cruising, some have less regulations on board. Some are posh. Some are kid-friendly.
(Q) What was the atmosphere like on board?
(A) Some cruise lines are more formal and regimented than others. I was impressed with how the Celebrity Reflection ship had a very relax feel on board. You can dress up or you can also dress down. It all depended on what we were doing that day.

(Q) Can you describe the dining options that were available?
(A) The main restaurant is called the Opus. The cruise also offers 6 casual dining restaurants, 5 specialty dining, and 12 bars/lounges.
(Q) What activities were offered on the ship?
(A) Don’t miss the Alcoves, art studios, Celebrity iLounge, Fortune Casino, Game on, Shops & Boutiques, Shore Excursions, Aqua Spa, Fitness, Wellness, Pools and Whirlpools.

(Q) Are there additional costs?
(A) You will pay extra for wine, beer and premium drinks. You can also purchase a beverage plan before departure on-line or on board ship.
(Q) Describe the on-board entertainment.
(A) When Celebrity promises to entertain you from sunup to sundown, they are not kidding. They’ll entertain you in the main theater with high energy, custom productions, along with classic tribute shows rivaling Broadway, West End, and Vegas Productions. While we were there, we also witnessed performances from comedians, singers, and magicians on the main stage.
