Last Updated on June 22, 2020 by Amanda Stancati

Florida is about to get a little more fun for the kids: the LEGOLAND Florida Resort opens in Winter Haven (just 45 minutes from Orlando) on May 15! Right next door to the largest LEGOLAND theme park, the LEGOLAND Florida Resort is along the shores of Lake Eloise, and boasts 152 brightly coloured guest rooms complete with LEGO décor for the ultimate family vacation.

Your Florida vacation will be complete with a stay at the official LEGOLAND Resort Florida; spend your days enjoying the 50 rides and shows, waterpark, Imagination Zone for creating and driving LEGO cars, and botanical gardens. Kick-back and relax in the evenings with interactive play areas, a pool, and on-site restaurant. Dance your way “home” each night in the Disco Elevator, and count how many LEGO models you can find around the hotel’s property – there’s more than 2,000 made of more than 2-million LEGO bricks.

Visit the LEGOLAND Florida Resort themepark and let your imagination run wild; the Coastersaurus will take you on a prehistoric journey through the jungle with life-sized animated LEGO dinosaurs, the LEGO Technic Test Track for a faster roller-coaster, or visit Miniland USA to “see” more of the United States on your vacation. Rides range from appropriate for smaller children to faster, for the adrenaline junkie, though the park is recommended for children 2-12. Cool off at The Quest for CHI and shoot water cannons on a watercraft and battle other boats – or surprise some passing guests with a splash. With eleven lands, including a relaxing botanical garden for a break for mom and dad, LEGOLAND is worth the visit. With countless interactive games, your Florida vacation will let mom and dad relax while letting the little one’s explore, build, and work their creativity (sounds like the perfect vacation mix to us!)

Did you know? LEGOLAND Florida Resort is the first themepark to have its currency listed on an exchange board, after a partnership with Travelex. The park does still accept U.S. Currency, however.
