Last Updated on June 22, 2020 by Laura Cooper

Warwick Cayo Santa Maria reopened last month following redesigns to enhance the luxury experience for families and couples visiting Cuba. The property is set on 65 acres on the north shore of Cuba, along 800 meters of the island’s most beautiful beaches. Located in the Buenavista Biosphere Reserve – a UNESCO World Heritage Site – visitors will find coral reefs, rocky and sandy beaches, and lush forest, perfect for those seeking eco-tourism, snorkeling, long strolls, and natural beauty that will take your breath away.

The hotel has 800 modern rooms and suites including wheelchair accessible and connecting rooms. Deluxe rooms have a flat screen TV, tea/coffee maker, safe, minibar, AC, ironing board, hair dryer, umbrellas, electronic key system, and telephone – plus garden, sea, or pool views. All suites have an ocean view, king size bed, separate seating area, in-suite master bathroom with hydro-massage tub and shower, double vanity sink and double closet.

Visitors to the all-inclusive resort can enjoy 7 restaurants and 8 bars:

  • Le Med: A la carte Mediterranean
  • Fusion: A la carte exotic cuisines
  • La Trattoria: Snack bar offering pizzas, sandwiches, hamburgers
  • Caribeno: A la carte Caribbean
  • The Main Buffet
  • Ranchon Playa: Cuban grill serving lunch
  • Crazy Lobster: A la carte seafood (not included in the all-inclusive meal plan)
  • Aqua Bar: Pool bar
  • La Havaneria: Lobby bar with live music in the evenings
  • 2 Beach bars with light snacks
  • Tea Corner and Lobby Bar with pastries and coffee
  • Theatre Bar with cocktails

Amenities include 2 swimming pools, 2 tennis courts, 1 basketball court, a kids club, daily entertainment in the theatre, fitness room, beauty parlour, meeting room and wedding gazebo. Enjoy activities like yoga, dance and bingo or water sports like kayaking, windsurfing and snorkeling.

At Warwick Cayo Santa Maria, you can indulge in hand-crafted cocktails or a meal lovingly prepared with the finest ingredients, experience traditional Cuban food and music, and relax in serene, picture-perfect surroundings.

Warwick Hotels and Resorts will also re-open the Naviti Varadero this month, formerly the Allegro Resort, following an extensive redesign.

The re-opening of these two Warwick Hotels in Cuba is part of Warwick Hotel and Resorts’ plan to expand its properties in key destinations since opening its first Caribbean property October 2016, the Warwick Paradise Island in the Bahamas.
