Courtney, a member of our online marketing team, embarked on an exciting whirlwind, discovering six countries in seven days on Trafalgar\u2019s European Highlights\u00a0<\/a>tour. Here are Courtney’s personal highlights:<\/p>\n

London<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"Buckingham<\/a><\/p>\n

Buckingham Palace watching the changing of the guards was my favourite experience of the trip. I also loved seeing Westminister Abbey, Big Ben, and the London Eye. I enjoyed walking around Hyde Park and saw children playing in Princess Diana Memorial Fountain. There were lots of people having picnics, drinking champagne, and relaxing.<\/p>\n

Amsterdam<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"Bikes<\/a><\/strong>
\nThey really like their bicycles. Our tour director joked that when a baby is born, it is born with a bicycle. No one there wears a helmet ever. And the bike lanes are much bigger than the sidewalk. Everyone owns 5+ bikes and there are garages for bikes in the city.<\/p>\n

I also loved the Skinny Bridge (Magere Brug) in Amsterdam \u2013 if you kiss under the bridge your love will last forever. We did!<\/p>\n

Rhine Cruise\/Heidelberg<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"Small<\/a>
\nThe Rhine river cruise was awesome. We had bratwurst and saw views of the vineyards. Vineyards are on steep hills so machinery can\u2019t be used, all grapes must be picked by hand. We passed beautiful medieval castles and the famous Lorelei rock.<\/p>\n

We saw the world\u2019s biggest cuckoo clock in the black forest, and ate black forest cake too!<\/p>\n

Lucerne<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"Mount<\/a><\/strong>
\nMount Pilatus excursion was amazing and definitely worth the money. The views were amazing. We went up in a series of cable cars then descended in the world\u2019s steepest train, at some parts actually being in the mountain, and then took a lake cruise back to downtown area of Lucerne.<\/p>\n

Bachmann chocolates were delicious \u2013 they have a few stores downtown, but they close early!<\/p>\n

Paris<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"Eiffel<\/a>
\nWe went to the second level of the Eiffel tower (which to me is best for easily taking panoramic photos). The top level was closed that day because of the weather. We went to the Louvre and saw the famous Mona Lisa.<\/p>\n

The Seine river cruise at night was beautiful. We saw the city all lit up and the Eiffel tower sparkle at 11pm.<\/p>\n

The best part about this tour is there\u2019s no waiting in lines.<\/p>\n
