After seeing different places in the world, Thailand is quite easily at the top of my list. From the food, beaches, the Thai people and everything in between, I had such an amazing adventure. It’s a place I would not hesitate sending people to and I would go back in a heartbeat.

Thailand is safer than I expected and Americanised in many ways. I have to say it was a bit of a struggle trying to figure some things out because of the English barrier.

I flew with Japan Airlines, which in my opinion, is hands down the best airline I’ve ever flown with. Everyone was smiling, seats were big and comfortable, and the food was fantastic. I remember asking for water before the flight and the stewardess returned a minute later, apologizing for making me wait. I also flew with Thai Airways within Thailand. They too were amazing and even offered a meal in our hour-long flight.

BANGKOK

Bangkok is amazing! We only spent a few days here, but I certainly wish we stayed longer. Getting from the airport to the city was very easy. It took us about 20 minutes to get a cab but it was cheap. There is a tour company called “Tour with Tong” which I would highly recommend to anyone thinking about visiting Thailand. The tour included visitations to a Tiger Temple. We were there before the crowds, had the chance to walk the baby tigers and stay in the teenager enclosure as they played all around us. It was a truly amazing experience. After, we had an amazing meal and experienced a water fight with an elephant. All in all, it was easily one of the best days I’ve ever had.

In Bangkok, we stayed at Navalai River Resort which is the best $52 a night hotel I have ever seen. Trust me, one night is more than enough on Bangala Road. We stayed in Kata Beach, which is on the outskirts of Phuket. It’s a nicer and cleaner area but more expensive. We stayed at Kata Palm, which cost $54 a night. It featured a beautiful pool area, a room with an amazing waterfall shower, and great breakfast. We rented a Tuk Tuk to take a tour of Island.

Stay tuned for part 2 of Nathan’s Thailand adventure tomorrow!

Have questions for Nathan about his experience?
