No need to travel far to participate in this German festivity, here\u2019s a list of Canadian spots you could visit to get in the spirit.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.oktoberfest.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><b>Kitchener- Waterloo<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The largest Oktoberfest event in North America takes place in Kitchener-Waterloo from October 10 to 18. It will showcase an exciting fashion show, various culinary classics like sausages, rolled ribs and schnitzel, and traditional dancing. \u00a0Other things to watch out for include: the fanfare of trumpets during the opening ceremony, the Bavarian Village known as Willkommen Platz, and floats and performers for Thanksgiving Day Parade. Ticket prices vary from $7.96 to $35.<\/p>\n<p><b>Vancouver<\/b><\/p>\n<p>In honour of the biggest drinking event in the world, Vancouver is hosting three spectacular parties to please the crowd. This past weekend, the Steam Whistle Oktoberfest party attracted guests from all over the city. Coming up are celebrations at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.harvest-haus.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Harvest Haus<\/a> (October 2 to 5 for $35) and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vancouveralpenclub.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Vancouver Alpen Club<\/a> (October 3, 4, 10, 11, 17, 18 for $30).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.torontooktoberfest.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><b>Toronto \u00a0<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t forget to bring your lederhosen and dirndls to Toronto\u2019s Oktoberfest! Featuring an array of authentic food, drink, and merriment, it will be one hell of a party in Toronto the weekend of October 3 and 4. General door prices vary from $25 to $30.<\/p>\n<p><b><a href=\"http:\/\/www.byward-market.com\/events\/oktoberfest.htm\">Ottawa<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Sign-up for the free Oktoberfest event in Ottawa from October 18 to 20. Festivities include face painting, puppet show, Bavarian music with Schteev und die Lederhosers, and beer drinking.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/hfxoktoberfest.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><b>Halifax<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Take part in the celebration of German heritage at the Halifax Oktoberfest. At the event, watch out for favourite delicacies like Weiner schnitzel, kraut, and roasted pig, traditional Oompah music, and Garrison Craft Beer.
