The tax is 244.00 Mexican pesos (approximately $15 CAD depending on current exchange rates). The payment can be made prior to travel, upon arrival or during your stay as the tax will be imposed upon departure from Mexico. Payments for families and groups can be made in one single transaction.<\/p>\n<p>Payments can be made online at <a href=\"http:\/\/tripc.ca\/QROO-TAX\">http:\/\/tripc.ca\/QROO-TAX<\/a>, or at the airport prior to departure at kiosks that accept cash. Should you choose to pay online, you will need to provide the number of people travelling, the name, age and passport number of each individual, and your departure date.<\/p>\n<p>Tourists departing the state of Quintana Roo must show their proof of payment at the airport prior to boarding. The tourist tax is in addition to the environmental tax put into place in 2017.<\/p>\n<p>The environmental tax is 20.00 pesos per room per night (approximately $1.00 USD per room per night).<\/p>\n<p>For the standard 7-night all-inclusive visitor, this works out to approximately $9\u00a0CAD to be paid at your hotel upon check-in.
