Did you ever kiss a frog in the hopes it&#8217;d turn into a handsome prince?<\/p>\n<p>There are so many kissing customs from around the world, not to mention the many fairy tales we learn as children. As it&#8217;s Valentine&#8217;s Day Eve, I thought today would be a great \u00a0day to explore some of these kissing customs. Just in case you&#8217;re planning a romantic getaway this weekend, this will help prepare you for any unexpected smooches.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Instead of kissing on the lips, <strong>Eskimos<\/strong>, <strong>Polynesians<\/strong> and <strong>Malaysians<\/strong> rub\u00a0noses.<\/li>\n<li>In some countries, men will kiss a woman&#8217;s hand when saying hello or goodbye.<\/li>\n<li>Victorian etiquette required a man to kiss\u00a0the back\u00a0of a ladies hand.<\/li>\n<li><strong>African<\/strong> tribes show respect to their Chief by\u00a0kissing\u00a0the ground where he has walked.<\/li>\n<li>In<strong> Ireland<\/strong>, it is believed that you will have good luck if you kiss the <a title=\"Ireland Tours\" href=\"http:\/\/www.tripcentral.ca\/tours_ireland.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Blarney Stone<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>It is illegal in <strong>Indiana<\/strong> for a man with a mustache to &#8220;habitually kiss human beings.&#8221; (Really?)<\/li>\n<li>In <strong>Hartford, Connecticut<\/strong> it&#8217;s illegal for a husband to kiss his wife on Sunday.<\/li>\n<li>In <strong>Cedar Rapids, Iowa<\/strong>, it&#8217;s a crime to kiss a stranger.<\/li>\n<li>The air-kiss, or cheek-kiss, is most commonly found in <a title=\"European Tours\" href=\"http:\/\/www.tripcentral.ca\/tours_europe.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Europe<\/strong><\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>People often associate the French kiss with <strong>France<\/strong> due to their flirty nature.<\/li>\n<li>In <strong>Spain<\/strong>, people always air-kiss twice, starting with the right cheek. Men, on the other hand, always shake hands instead.<\/li>\n<li>The air-kiss is also popular in <strong>Italy<\/strong> (although, not North Italy), but starts on the left side, and only when happens among those who know each other.<\/li>\n<li>In\u00a0<a title=\"Germany Tours\" href=\"http:\/\/www.tripcentral.ca\/tours_germany.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Germany<\/strong><\/a>, people tend to avoid kissing altogether.
