Every week for the past 6 years, you have given us your support for Trip Trivia<\/a>. Words can\u2019t quite express how grateful we are for your continued loyalty, and we are hopeful that we can carry on with this journey together. Today, we want to highlight Bonnie Driver\u2019s Vancouver<\/a> & Victoria getaway experience. We delight in your exciting stories and can\u2019t wait to take part in many more in the future.<\/em><\/p>\n

Here\u2019s what Bonnie had to say about the trip:<\/p>\n

“Our trip lasted for four days. When we got there on Sunday morning, it was unfortunately pouring and had overcast so we weren\u2019t able to rent a car as planned (can\u2019t control the weather\u2026) but thankfully, we were graced with nice weather the rest of our stay.<\/p>\n

When we got to Vancouver, we tried to get an upgrade to their Gold Floor, but it was only available the 2nd night so we kept our reservation.\u00a0The young lady at the reception asked us to wait for an hour and half (we were really early having decided not to rent a car because of the rain), and promised she would have a great room for us if we waited. She said it was worth waiting for, and it was.\u00a0 It was lovely – had 2 windows, with a view of the water from the one and a view of the city from the other.<\/p>\n

We treated ourselves to wine and a cheese platter in the 900 Lounge at the hotel while we waited.\u00a0 Called that our lunch.\u00a0 Later that afternoon there wasn\u2019t as much rain so we took one part of the package tour which went around the city.\u00a0 The next day we took the Stanley Park tour and went to the Aquarium\u2026 What a great place.\u00a0 One of the highlights was seeing the penguins being trained. It was superb.\u00a0 We also treated ourselves at The Tea House for lunch.\u00a0 We enjoyed a delicious meal and a view of the water.\u00a0 I would recommend this place to anyone! In the dining room at the hotel our waiter knew of Welland!!!\u00a0\u00a0 Hardly anyone has heard of Welland.\u00a0 He lives in Vancouver year round now and skis all winter.<\/p>\n

Upon arrival in Victoria, we decided to pay for an upgrade to the Gold Floor to our room at the Empress for the 2 nights. We had a great view of the harbour. The Gold Floor upgrade, gave us access to the Gold Floor Lounge which also had a magnificent view of the harbour. They offered breakfast, afternoon tea from 1 to 3 PM, and appetizers from 4-6. We were also able to use the Gold Floor Lounge all day, which provided non-alcoholic beverages and sweets to their Gold Floor clients.\u00a0 The concierge and staff at the Gold Floor were excellent. They were all very helpful and hospitable. Shortly after we arrived in Victoria we had High Tea in the Empress Tea Room which I had reserved before we left.<\/p>\n

We had a great time doing tours during our visit.The tour to Butchart Gardens was wonderful, such an amazing display!!!\u00a0 We enjoyed the Hop-on-Hop-off tour as well.<\/p>\n

At both hotels there was a welcome note and sweets in the room compliments of the Manager of Operations.\u00a0Thank you all so much for our prize and arranging this trip for us.\u00a0\u00a0 We will long remember it as a celebration of our 7th anniversary.”<\/p>\n
