London is gearing up to host the 2012 Summer Olympics Games, which will run from July 27 to August 12. Events will be held\u00a0all over the city, in popular places like central London’s\u00a0Regent’s Park,\u00a0Olympic Park in east London, and south-east London’s Greenwich Park.<\/p>\n

If you’re an adventurous traveller<\/a>\u00a0planning to make a European vacation out of this year’s summer Olympics, you may need a bit of help finding the hot spots amidst the festive chaos. Here are some great travel tips to help you make the most of your London vacation.<\/p>\n

Hotel<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Located in central London,\u00a0Falcon Hotel<\/a>\u00a0is offering some good rates during the two week Olympic span. For about $155\/night, you can get a double occupancy room with an en-suite bathroom. You can pay a lot less if you’re not fussy about sharing the facilities. For about $199, families of up to four people can get a decent sized room with private bath. Rooms are equipped with large plasma TVs, tea and coffee machines, and free in-room Wi-Fi. The Falcon Hotel is conveniently located just a few minutes from Paddington Station, so you can easily get to and from the various Olympic event venues.<\/p>\n

You can hang out on the ground level to grab breakfast lunch or dinner in a relaxed pub-like atmosphere, or move up a level to enjoy a quieter wine room or private room, available for meetings and special occasions. On the 3rd level, you’ll find slightly more formal dining rooms before reaching the luxurious, quiet rooftop dining room overlooking the city.<\/p>\n

Sight Seeing<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

While you’re in town, why not see all that London has to offer! For less than $120 you can take the “See London in One Day Sight Seeing Tour<\/a>.” Take a scenic drive through the city, where you’ll see famous sights including Westminster Abbey, Big Ben and Trafalgar Square. You’ll witness the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace,and enjoy a guided tour of St Paul’s Cathedral. Finish off the day with a visit to the Tower of London and cruise on the River Thames.<\/p>\n
