Good times.

Updated rooms, very nice and cozy. Beautiful view of ocean and palms. Good times. Natural beach and clean with umbrellas. Food was very good on arrival late at night. Bar is open late.. Friendly and happy staff.

Relaxing and Inviting

Fantastic, friendly staff and a beautiful view of the ocean. We enjoyed snorkeling, seeing the sights and even did some hiking while there. Although we stayed in the older section of the resort our room was clean, comfortable and gave us all we needed for our stay. Our housekeeping staff Cecilia was amazing. One week just wasn’t enough time to see all that we wanted but it was a great vacation!!!

Highly recommended

Only problem was the 2 hour wait at the airport in Santiago while lost luggage was dealt with before we could drive to the resort.(February 19)While waiting for the plane to take off in Toronto I saw luggage being off loaded and other bigger pieces like bicycle boxes put on..about 20 pieces of luggage were left behind.This has happened to us before at Santiago. Sunwing needs to get their act together.This reminds me to write a complaint to them!!

Great times

I had an amazing time! This is definitely not a 5 star hotel by any means. But the place is clean, the staff are friendly. The staff take the time to get to know you and are always smiling. The locals are fantastic people to spend time with off the resort. Cant wait until we go there again!!

Wonderful Resort

I am repeat guest at Costa Morena. No issues at all. Good food and cold beer was always at your finger tip. Clean Swimming pool. Clean rooms.. I would go there again. The lobby bar is always crowded. Not enough tables and chairs. Lobby Bar has to have ceiling fans, very hot at all times. The price is right. Cheers

Needs improvement

The hotel location is amazing but poorly maintained. The hotel should invested in more gardener to clean up the place and a handy man to keep up with the structure of the building and the walkways. A lot of places are unsafe as people can fall due to hole in the sidewalk and stairs. The staff seem to be under staff as we were required to get our own fork , knife, napkins and glasses. Staff did not change the table clothes all week long. A gem!

I truly enjoyed this little Resort. It was unpretentious and yet offered some surprises. If you appreciate Cuban music then you will like all the entertainment at this hotel. There were solo musicians at lunchtime, groups in the evening, wonderfully choreographed dance groups as well as a fantastic synchronized swimming team. The entertainment was much better than at the five star resort I stayed at in December, also in Cuba. The only downfall is the lack of a sandy beach but people made the best of the 'natural pool'.

Visit this resort sometimes,it is still my love,Especial the location,perfect valley/water/sky... Hotel is simple but match me, Staff is good , Food in not too much but good. Although some change is happen ,but it is still my dream place until now.

Good resort

Good value for the money. Staff very good. Very safe resort. Swimming pool well maintained and clean. Good resort if you like fishing and walking. Travel from Airport to the resort is not comfortable, because the roads are bad. As soon as you get to the resort, you forget all the pot holes on the road. Cheers

Good value for money. Staff very polite and helpful. Food has improved a lot. Rooms very clean. Bathroom very clean and there is always hot water. Nightly entertainment good. We would go again. CHEERS

Amazing

Stay there many times Still love Ocean is love Mountain is love Rock is love Birds and flowers are love Animal is cute Room is still special People is good Coffee and Cola are good Food is simple but ok.

The grounds are kept clean at all times no one bugs you nice safe place to walk around and get to know the people the house on the hill across the street is The Best place to Best meal I ever had on vacation and I have bin on lots

Dying hotel

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are relatively quiet. Other days hotel filled with large groups of local people who play loud music even at night, throw beer cans over the grounds and into the sea and WASTE food in the restaurant, so that some people "enjoy" just scraps from empty food trays in the canteen. I have to stress on the word WASTE as the local people put piles of food on there plates and leave them half full and wasting the leftovers to garbage. Pool water is so dusty that we abstained to wet our feet in it. There is no beach in this hotel ! In rooms a vent system is filled with swarms of mosquitoes who feast over tourists all nights.

One of the better ones.... for a senior.

I am not a "beach" person. So I was fine with the limited access to a beach. The pool was nice & clean. My main objective was to enjoy the sun, people & read a book or two, or dance a little. As I have traveled to different locations in Cuba over the past 30 years, I was totally delighted with this small resort. The big plus was the comfort of the beds (that was a first). Two weeks vacation in costa morena

hotel is decent, renovations are ongoing, this is a destination for a quiet vacation, to rest and enjoy the natural scenery. quite small two star all-inclusive. no beach. tropical fish on close proximity of the hotel "cement beach" called natural pool. family atmosphere among the other tourists, most of them being snow birds from all-over Canada and returning for decades to this hotel. Good for the price

If you're looking for a very quiet place to stay then this is the best place. There was only 20 people staying the same time we were, all very friendly along with the staff members. There's no hot water, but the rooms were clean. There's no sand on the water front but you can still swim and it's a beautiful view. Food was slim pickings, but decent. A place suggested if you're looking for a long stay with an older crowd.

Hotel costa morena

The Hotel was directly on the water, which was very nice. The buildings are spread all across the ocean, along with the bars. The resort was not very busy in November, creating a boring atmosphere. The entire place seemed to be needing updates, and was constant construction. Please be sure to bring extra clothing for those working, as they will ask.

It is falling appart

There were two guests only. So everything looked sad. Staff did their best, but there was not much they could. The hotel needs a total renovation. It was time of hurricane Irma to make things even worse. I wish those working people to keep their jobs.

No Frills - No problem

This small quiet resort is a gem! There aren't a lot of selection but the people who work there will go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. Cubana Airlines is another story.... horrible horrible HORRIBLE!! I've never been on a plane like theirs nor had to deal with ruder people. They truly need a lesson in customer service!!

Very Good For 2.5 Stars

Had a really good time, nice staff, clean hotel, and food is manageable. Only thing is the hotel location, not a lot to do, it is located on the farm side. There is an amazing theme, water, and dinosaurs park, that are a must see.
