Love this Resort!

This was our second stay at this resort. No complaints! Accommodations are nice, beds are comfortable. The buffet and a la cart restaurant are great - the food is excellent. The staff is always friendly and accommodating to any request. Generally, there are loungers available around the pool and on the beach. Due to construction at the resort next door, it is loud around the pool during the day coupled with the pool activities.

Totally happy!

We have no complaints about this resort. The food was very good. We were very happy with our room - we were in the older part of the resort- however everything was in very good working order. Location is 1/2 ways between the melicon and the airport.

Decent resort for the money.

This is an older, smaller resort that is well kept. Clean. Very friendly helpful staff. Surprisingly good buffet and snacks. Alcohol was fine with regular service from waiters especially Pedro and Victor. The one a la carte restaurant was excellent with a good menu and very accomodating chef who prepared our fish we caught. Really like the small size as close to amenities and beach. Had a few issues with the hot water as would come and go but staff tried their best. Would probably stay here again.

Wonderful resort! Would definitely go back.

We just returned from an amazing week at Pelicanos Grand. So many great things to say about it. Comfy beds, warm pool, amazing Sky-bar lounge, awesome staff, fun swim up bar, drinks we delish, beer was very cold. :) The food was good, but not amazing. A good variety buffet but after a week it all tastes the same to me. The breakfast bar was very good, with eggs made to order. Great omelette selection. Great Resort

We stayed at the Plaza Pelicanos Grand for 7 nights, Sept 16-23-18. The resort is centrally located with easy access to downtown and with conveniences within walking distance. The resort is very clean, with many amenities such as swim up bar, al a carte dining, roof top bar, hot tubs, and a beach front location. The buffet offers a wide variety of dishes with emphasis on excellent Mexican dishes, fresh fruit and desserts. The made to order wood fired pizza is awesome. The staff are exceptional, friendly, professional and always eager to please. The location is central to everything and within walking distance or the local bus goes right by for only 7.50 pesos. Mega and Soriana are only a few blocks away for your shopping convenience. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Can't wait to return

Beautiful location, relaxing but exciting atmosphere. Always something to do and available. Felt like a family by end of the week. Helpful, friendly staff, amazing event coordinators, great bar tenders.

Lovely boutique resort

Attentive service by the staff, well maintained grounds, comfortable and pleasant facilities well laid out. Food good, and offered both hot and cold venues around the pool. We really enjoyed the intimacy and "family like" attitude and feel of this place. It wasn't mass production and yet it offered everything we needed to make our vacation enjoyable. We were able to get moved to a room overlooking the pool part way through our stay and we REALLY enjoyed that. They baked up gluten free muffin mix [... read more]es I brought for my special GF diet. It would have been nice to have had WIFI in the room and around the pool rather than just in the foyer, but, can't complain about the service, amenities, staff, or anything. Not bad resort! !

Nice clean resort with very nice staff. The only 2 issues we had with the resort was that they're wasn't enough chairs . We found the buffet good but very little choice. Mind you the " à la carte" restaurants where very very good.

Enjoyed Ourselves

I always love going to Puerto Vallarta. Weather was great, most people where very friendly. Here are some issues that we ran into. Not the end of the world but they were a bit of a disappointment. Upon arrival at airport we were meet by representative and placed in cab to Hotel unfortunately we were dropped off at the Club not the grand so we were placed in a different cab and dropped off at the grand. The lady who checked us in was not very friendly whats so ever. Not a huge deal but we were ex [... read more]cited and she didnt care I know everyone has a bad day. We did have rain one day downpours and our room roof leaked through the vent onto marble floor as most people are aware marble floors and water are an accident waiting to happen. We called down to front desk tell them and get extra towels well no one showed ended up having to go down and get myself they were not very responsive as I though they should have been. I just didnt want to break my neck. Other than those items we had a great time. All the other staff helpful friendly. I describe it as a good vacation.

Simply Ok

Amazing staff , food was basic except for breakfast which was very good, Very clean rooms, pool was small but nice. Hotel occupied by mostly locals from Guadalajara.. Recommend this hotel IF you get a great deal NO GUACAMOLE ........
