The Reef Playacar

Grounds were very well kept; dining room was clean and well staffed; food was excellent and plentiful! When asked for information, staff was helpful and knowledgeable. Shuttle service was always on time!

Relief at the Reef

We had the pleasure of staying at this all inclusive resort. Staff were very welcoming and accommodating. The grounds were clean and easy to navigate. It was like walking into your own sanctuary. Two pools and beach front access were wonderful. Our Air Transat Rep was very informative and helped us book excursions off the resort. So pleased with our getaway.

VERY GOOD TIME

This hotel was just great. We loved the size(not huge) and the fact that the front desk Rosa gave us a room close to the pool/beach. The room was small for 3 people and we had no hot water in shower for 3 days, also with no pressure. They made the water a bit warmer. My girls could not wash their hair for a few days. Because of high capacity of guests moving our room did not happen. Every thing else was fine. May help to have 2 gorgeous, friendly daughters, but not sure!!! The walk on beach to town was alot more than 15 minutes, I'd say more like half an hour and on sand a bit more difficult. Even so, we did that twice. Then took a cab next time for $6. and about 5 minute drive if that. Downtown is so different now with all the big box stores, but mixed with the old it was kind of neat. Thanks for your help Maria. We would have liked the extra Valet park n fly coupon they told us we could have received at booking. We felt for $1500 each we should have had hot water. We stayed happy all week even still. The weather could not have been better. Rio Secreto we LOVED, also Coba adventure was very good. Sandy and daughters.

Lovely resort

This hotel was lovely because of the separate buildings in a jungle atmosphere. the service was excellent, food good and we enjoyed ourselves very much. we weren't impressed at the hard sell, aggressive time share. We thought we were seeing our sunwing rep but it was time share sales. Very bad!!

Very good resort

Most enjoyable hotel at this price range.Lovely location in the mids of a jungle,very picturesque location.excellent food, grounds well maintained. Spacious rooms, staff very friendly and helpful, would recommend to Anybody. Only Vacation Club sellers pushy and annoying.

Amazing !!!!

This was one of the nicest resorts I have ever stayed in. It is not too large in size which allows you to become very familiar with the resort and staff during your stay. The jungle vibe of the resort is like no other and the staff work extremely hard to keep it very clean. The service was quick and food was incredible !!!! The entertainment was great and location of resort is very convenient to get to 5th avenue. Nicely done

Well thought out grounds with jungle. Nice to have lots of umbrellas and lounge chairs on beach. Having only one catamaran that is almost in need of complete repair was a bit lacking. Italian restaurant was nice. Omar the coffe guy is awesome. He should run the whole place. Concierge doesn't actually know anything but they're helpful at point toward someone who does. Good resort overall.

Small frendly resort

Small resort, excellent location 15min walk to 5th avenue, beautiful beach, friendly staff, food good but buffet almost always the same choices, older but a lot of improvements being done. This was our 4th stay, would stay there again

Fabulous!

I would go again in a heartbeat. The location was perfect. Enjoyed the decor. The difference between the wide open beach space and the jungle like area where the rooms are was breathtaking. Afternoon tea was always enjoyed...with a siesta after.

Beautiful resort just like your in the jungle

Everything was amazing, the food, the room, the ocean,the employees and the view of everything was beautiful. Close to lots of shopping and very cheap vacation. The tours are fun and lots to do. The only thing they should have better entertaining at night, no shows was a little boring at night but we kept ourselves busy.

SMALLER RESORT, CLEAN ROOMS, GROUNDS ARE VERY NICE AND CLEAN FEELS LIKE YOU ARE IN A JUNGLE. WE HAD UPDATED ROOMS WHICH WERE REALLY NICE, FOOD WAS GOOD, STAFF FRIENDLY, BEACH VERY NICE, 15 MIN WALK TO 5TH AVENUE PLAYA DEL CARMEN, VERY RELAXING.
