Grotto Bay Relaxing Stay

Grotto bay I went to grotto bay with my fiancé and we had a great vacation. Property: well maintained, beautifully landscaped and clean. The view across the bay is the airport but you barely hear the planes come in and the view of the water is still great. The beach is smaller, especially when the tide is up but lots of chairs but there wasn’t many people at the resort while we were there. We stayed at Oceanview on the right of the property and the views were great with a balcony. Staff: Everyone was friendly and attentive. Kionne at the bar was personable. Dario in the dining hall was funny and a great waiter - enjoyed his stories. Entertainment: It was either their slow season and they don’t do bigger night shows until it picks up but this was really the only thing this hotel was lacking that we are use to at All Inclusives. The comedian was funny Sunday night and there was a historian one night and we missed the dance party on the weekend. Pool: it was too cold for the pool when we were here but they have a jacuzzi that is nice and hot when the weather isn’t! We did two days at the jacuzzi. If the weather was warmer the swim up bar would have been great. Food: one of the best resorts for food. Did the breakfast and lunch buffets and they only had one of two restaurants open and the food was delicious. We were on the all inclusive meal plan and glad we were - I think we would have spent a lot more money if we weren’t - Bermuda is expensive for food and drinks. We took the kayaks out from the dive shop and toured around the island that’s in the bay - saw some beautiful fish. We did the cave massage (very expensive but if you can do it it is a neat experience with the droplets dripping into the water from the ceiling of the cave). We also were able to borrow a scooter from a couple and we toured the whole island in a day - I wouldn’t recommend if you aren’t comfortable driving a scooter especially if you aren’t use to driving on the wrong side of the road!) Booking through trip central was easy and smooth - lots of emails keeping you up to date.

Great Hotel

My husband and I stayed at the Grotto Bay for one week during hurricane Humberto. The hotel staff were amazing and really made sure all patrons were safe and comfortable. Terrific food and rooms. We will be back!

Wonderful resort!

We had first stayed at Grotto Bay Resort 10 years ago and thought it was wonderful then. Our opinion has not changed during our recent visit. The staff are still awesome, the room was clean with a spectacular view. The resort on a whole is being very well maintained. Food was great, beach was lovely! Very handy to the airport, only a 10 minute drive. Also a 10 minute walk to the Swizzle Inn which is always a fun time. We will definitely be back!

Family get away

We had an amazing time at Gatto Bay Beach Bermuda. The food is excellent & Restaurants service is great. The beach is sandy and calm blue waters. My 11 year old and myself had a great time jumping in the cave on site & the island is fabulous for touring & hiking. I definitely recommend visiting this hospitable island st least once,

Best Ever

Bermuda was the best vacation we have taken, usually we are ready to come home after a few days no matter where we went, this vacation we didn't want to leave. Grotto Bay was wonderful, great food, great service, every member of the staff was super friendly and always willing to help,they suggested sites to see that we never would have thought of, and, if you stay there, meet and talk to as many people and guests as possible as they will also tell you of the many places they have visited on the  [... read more]island and which ones impressed them. Trip Central did a great job of booking all the travel arrangements and answered all are questions and addressed all our concerns in a thoroughly professional manner, of all the other travel agencies they were the most co-operative and informative. Our room at Grotto Bay was spacious, and very clean, the first day there our shower nozzle broke, we called the front desk and it was repaired that day! We particularly enjoyed the history of the island, one week was not long enough !!!!

Great resort but going in feb has its drawbacks

the resort grounds and the staff get a 9. out of 10 but value for money gets a 4 there is only a gas station down the hill to get chips/pop/junk food etc with the nearest restaurant 5 kms away and the resort buffets averaged 45 usd with a mandatory 17% service charge the caves were a worthwhile tour at 32usd per person for two caves which we did over two days due to the weather in feb being in the low to mid 60s with rain and heavy wind so no beach or pool time

Grotto Bay Resort

Excellent hotel with very friendly staff, excellent food and great location. Advice by hotel staff was excellent. Birding in mid March is so-so. Attractions, use of busses all well supported by the hotel.

Friendly staff

They have very Beautiful grounds with lots of flowers, walkways and stairs which were maintained The resort offer very helpful staff, w e even were offered a drive to Hamilton. The restaurants were casual with attentive waiters.

Exellent resort

Clean rooms,beautiful,guiet,friendly resort. Beaches were absolutely beautiful. You could see spools of fish right at the edge of the turguish.clear ocean. Food excellent. With offers of fresh catch of the day. Will return again. Very pleased w it's the resort

Enjoyable Stay

Resort is decent with acceptable rooms, friendly service and nice touches around the resort. We went during the off season so the hotel was 30% at capacity. Cookie & Tea time was a nice touch. Close to the airport but there wasn't any noise disturbances for us.

First Class Resort

We had a wonderful time in Bermuda, we stayed at the Grotto Bay, the staff were friendly, the rooms were clean and up to date and the overall review of the hotel was very good, Definitely I would go back to this resort. The bus stop is right outside the hotel, so the hotel is in a very convenient location.

Charming resort with super friendly staff

Clean and ample rooms, amazing food and super friendly staff made for a truly memorable stay. Will definitely be making a return visit in the future. Beautiful little beach and pool and swimming in the groto was nice. If you are bored at this resort you have no one to blame but yourself.

Home away from home feel at grotto bay

This hotel is a lovely spot to vacation, it is clean, friendly staff, great food, comfy beds, did I say friendly and caring staff, and easy to get to area attractions and chopping. I have been twice in one year I hope to go again soon.
