Best Vacation Ever!

Going to the JOIA Paraiso was our first all-inclusive experience, and we loved every single moment of it! The hotel is palatial and beautiful. Our room was huge and well appointed. The bathrooms have two sinks, a spacious shower, and a jacuzzi bathtub. The bed was large and very comfortable. The staff were helpful and smiling all through the day. They were always ready with towels, to take a drinks order, and would even come by to apply cooling cucumbers and facecloths. The best part for us was  [... read more]the food! We specifically wanted to go somewhere with good food and we were blown away. The buffet was always excellent, with a huge variety of quality food. From made to order breakfast waffles, pancakes, crepes, and/or French toast, to made to order omelettes and eggs. We ate so much fresh fish, especially the ceviche. Our favourite restaurant was Legado, the Mexican restaurant. We had a perfect meal of whitefish ceviche, perfectly cooked steak, and the best churro dessert we have ever had. We spent most of our time relaxing at the quiet pool. We could fill our insulated cups with an excellent drink from the main bar and nurse a cooling beverage for hours as we swam or read a book at our beds. This was exactly the vacation, rest, and break from our busy lives that we were looking for. We are making plans for the next time we go!

The BEST RESORT!

We visited Joia Paraiso by Iberostar from June 3 to June 10 in building 71 oceanfront butler suite , room 7152. It's not our first time here, we're going every year sometimes twice a year. I'd like to mention I'm very picky, but I'm not going to look to any another resort for our vacation. Amazing staff, the best food and cleanest resort! JOIA PARAISO IBEROSTAR

Absolutely beautiful hotel and grounds. Food was everything and anything you could ask for especially the buffet. Highly recommend the Italian and French alacarte restaurants. We would definitely return again.

Incredible Holiday

I recently got back from a week at the JOIA Paraiso Iberostar in Mexico. It was absolutely perfect. All the staff from check in to servers to housekeeping were absolutely wonderful. The rooms are huge and very clean. The pools were great. They have a quiet pool of you want more of a relaxed feel. The food is very good. Buffet and restaurants were all great. Always well tended grounds with attentive staff who make you feel like an old friend though we have been to this hotel multiple times They recognize some of hotel looks are dated and and are planning investment in upgrades shortly

Great Resort

Amazing, top shelf resort

We had a fantastic time at Joia Paraiso. Our check in was wonderful, we were greeted with refreshments and treats while we sat down and waited to be checked in. The resort was fantastic, all indoors and air conditioned. Our room was a standard room but was perfect. Cleaning staff and all staff were fantastic, concierge, Spa, beach, and restaurant staff were always pleasant and very helpful. Liquor was also great with many top brands and variety for any drink you want. Pools were great with one being a quiet relaxing pool and the other pool with a swim up bar and lots of activities and music all day. Beach was great although the water entrance in front of the Joia was rocky but if you just walked 100 meters down to one of the other Iberostar resorts you could enter the water without any problems. Definitely will return and would recommend JOIA to others. Worth the extra money it cost to stay there.

Extraordinarily lovely resort!

The Joia Paraiso by Iberostar is an amazing adult only resort. The hotel decor is lavish and ornate. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and impeccably maintained. We went for a lovely walk every day .We spent most days by the quiet pool where all loungers/ beds are available in curtailned cabanas. The service here is extraordinary. For a special treat take in the Spa pool complete with juice bar, warm whirlpools and massaging shower heads. The beach is beautiful..all deep sand..not rocky..very little seaweed.Overall a great experience!

Iberostar Grand Paraiso Truly Grand

Over the top service. Great food. Beautiful beach. Magnificent pool. Large rooms. Perfectly maintained property. Being refreshed this August. Loved it. Access to all five Iberostar hotels on site. They have their own marketplace or shopping centre. Nice spa. Adults only. Vibe is not party time. Most couples are 40 plus.

Beautiful resort

Most beautiful building I have ever stayed in. Grounds are nice and you have access to all the other resorts in the complex - fun to wander around and see what they have (I made good use of the waterslides at the Lindo, and went to restaurants at the Del Mar/Beach and Maya as well as the coffee shops, ice cream and hamburger stands throughout the complex). Staff are friendly and service was almost uniformly good. Food was very good for an all-inclusive. We went to the Venetian (Italian), [... read more] Toni's (steaks), the Mexican/ceviche restaurant for lunch, and Haiku (Japanese). Portions were small at the Venetian and Haiku but the food was good. Also went to El Puerto (BBQ, which was decent) at the Beach/Del Mar and El Rancho (steaks - best meal all week) at the Maya. Nothing on the resort is open early so went to the Maya Star Café for a sandwich before some early excursions. Buffet was excellent. Tons of variety. App is glitchy, couldn't use it for a few days as according to the staff it is affected by weather (?). This meant it was hard to view the menus. You can book reservations on the app but obviously can't if it isn't working so I used the concierge. Also need to use the concierge for reservations at other resorts. Ordering drinks on the app didn't work for me, drinks never came. Maps on the app can be confusing. We had an entry-level "garden view" room in the main building and it was still very nice and large. Good housekeeping service with turndown, refilling the mini-bar was sometimes neglected. Entertainment was good. Included things like traditional Mexican dances and mariachi, cover bands, violinist/pianist, etc. Not a lot of other activities on-resort; the other resorts in the complex are more active (e.g. all non-motorized watersports are located at an adjacent resort). The gym is decent, crowding in the morning. Small but has a good collection of equipment. In poor weather you can also use the indoor hot tubs and pool. Wish the hot tub was hotter. Pool area was nice with decent drink service and a swim-up bar. Didn't have a problem getting a spot even on the hottest day though might not be right by the pool. The beach was OK - smallish, lots of seaweed but that's a common issue in this area. Beach is very rocky and red flags the the entirety of our 7-night stay. Overall, very nice resort, would recommend.

The Amazing Iberostar Grand Paraiso

This was my 2nd visit to this resort and it never fails to impress. They really know how to take care of their guests. Rooms are beautifully maintained daily, beds are comfortable, food is top notch from pool side to Buffets to the A la Carte restaurants. Star team puts on spectacular evening shows , lobby bar entertainment and daytime Poolside games and music are so fun. The oceanfront is breathtaking to view and warm to swim and ride the waves. Will definitely return again !

Thumbs up for Iberostar Grand Paraiso

This was our second time at this resort; much has changed since 2017, re covid, climate change, and environmental concerns. We returned to Iberostar as we had a positive experience our first time. Second time did not disappoint! While the resort was only about 40% full, there was no shortage of staff, food, activities, or entertainment (the latter all had to be done in open air or open space). We certainly missed him when there had their monthly staff change over. Our new butler was nice also Daytime entertainment staff was quite energetic trying to get people to participate after walking around and telling of upcoming activities even though everything was posted online. Evening entertainment was fine as well. We very much enjoyed their “white night” evening. Restaurant and bar staff were there to attend to any request a guest may or even not have. We preferred to have dinner at the individual restaurants as opposed to the buffet (though we did go once to dinner at buffet) where we had breakfasts and lunches—lots and lots of choices While every specialty restaurant was superb the French one really stood out for us, especially our waiter Chan. Again, went out of his way to prepare us a specialty dish not on the menu But my most impressive thing about this year was how very environmentally responsible this resort has become. Nothing or very little one-time-use or disposable items were used; everything was reusable from water bottles to cutlery to napkins to placemats….cleanliness and sterilizing everything was very much de rigueur! Many staff were busy with spray bottles cleaning surfaces And every staff member wore a mask. The only place where guests had to wear a mask was at the buffet area. I would definitely return to this resort in the future Our only disappointment was the beach. Full of seaweeds which staff kept cleaning up and removing but all in vain; seaweeds just kept on coming. May be time of year we were there?

Fabulous Resort

Everything was top notch. Food was delicious and a great variety from the buffets to the the restaurants. They were so accommodating anything you needed they were there. We liked that our resort was children free. We used the Tranquil pool which was so relaxing. The grounds are immaculate. This is our third time visiting this resort and will return back next year.

Beautiful resort

Everything was great. The employees were extra caring and helpful. The rooms were very nice and very clean. The maids were super at there job and always left flower pedals and little animals made from the towles. The butlers were extra caring and always got anything you asked for in a very fast and efficient way. The restaurants were very well set up and very clean. Lots of food choices and excellently prepared and served and very good tasting meals.

Welcome Home Indeed

We all know what it feels like to come home, being pampered, and enjoying favourite dishes and activities; your family going out of their way to ensure your total comfort and enjoyment. Well that is the same feeling that Iberostar Grand Paraiso offers in greetings and delivery. It all starts with the bellman, saying “Welcome Home”, as he takes your luggage from the airport shuttle, and continues throughout your stay. Octavian, one of the main chefs, acted like a big brother to both my wife and I, but especially to my wife with her gluten-free requirements. He created unbelievable, special dishes for her at breakfast, lunch and dinner. He would always find her, wherever we were, and make sure she was taken care of. It seemed like Octavian never slept, as he also conducted a “guacamole” class between lunch and dinner. There were many other “brothers and sisters”, who pampered us throughout our holiday. America, a hostess, always greeted us each morning for breakfast and at lunch with the biggest smile and hug. Rodrigo not only took care of us by the pool but stopped at our cabana, almost daily to enquire if we needed anything. Adriana was incredible by the “tranquility pool” always ensuring we had what we needed. By the way, Adriana makes the best margaritas we have ever had. Mauricio, as our butler not only provided everything we required, but if something was not right, he would fix it very quickly. Cesar was outstanding on both of our visits to Valencia. Tsunami (affectionately known as “Big Wave”) always had time for us each day with her stories, various activities and beautiful smile. This incredible lady can speak 5 languages. You know you are truly home when old friends from previous years (this was our 3rd consecutive year), Mirna and Marcello, stop by to welcome you with a hug, and of course ask if you need anything. It appears that each year the food keeps getting better. We ate at Toni’s and Valencia twice, off the a la carte menu (highly recommended) at the Japanese restaurant, and mixed in the outstanding international themed cuisine buffet dinners. The matriarch to us, of this Iberostar Grand Paraiso family is Laura Favial, the assistant General Manager. Laura last year quickly and expertly dealt with an issue we had. This year she stopped by to see how we were doing, and also personally came out to wish us an enjoyable and safe trip home, but only after she enquired, if everything was to our liking. She appears to be the key link to a well oiled machine. If you are at all interested in coming home, and being welcomed as such, Iberostar Grand Paraiso is your choice. We know that and will be back next year and hopefully for many more.

Always outstanding

After an amazing visit last year we decided to visit the Grand Paraiso again, and somehow it was even better. Drinks are always top shelf. Food delicious, varied and fresh. This year I noticed a grill by the pool almost every day: one day steak, another burgers, another fajitas. It made the poolside even more chill.

Wonderful vacation

We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend this hotel. Staff were courteous and helpful, the room was clean and the food was delicious. I went to several yoga classes and found the instructors to be top notch. We talked about it but we could not find one single thing to complain About or to improve upon. We would definitely return.
