Below average

Staff was unaware of the menu options and dietary guidelines. I almost fell Ill because wrong dishes were served which had all ingredients which I was allergic to. I had to personally inspect the dish. Staff didn’t know anything.Most of the bartenders were rude. Felt out of place since we didn’t know Spanish. Felt discriminated. Room service was extremely poor. Orders were didn’t delivered all night. Butlers at our building was never available. Over all trip was disappointing.

Horrible resort would not recommend it

I would not recommend this resort, the food was cold at buffet restaurant and terrible at the Italian restaurant, the only decent restaurant was the Chinese restaurant where they cook the food in front of you and The Grill restaurant by the pool, the entertainment was boring and pathetic except for the shows that they had in the lobby, the entertainment crew were rude and there white party was a joke which they had at the soccer field, they should have had one at the TRS which was closer for the [... read more] guests and the MOSQUITOES were terrible they were everywhere even in the rooms, the maids were excellent and very nice, the butlers were useless, Jaime the nice man who drove the carts was a sweetheart and very nice but in general it was a terrible resort

Great Choice!

We spent 2 amazing weeks at this resort from April 25 to May 9, we are a couple in our early 60's, everything about this resort was amazing, food, rooms and service were some of the best we have ever experienced at any of our Caribbean destinations. Our butler Jean was excellent and catered to our every need, Angela and Stephanie at Helios were amazing and always looked after us when we arrived, the bartenders and waitresses were very attentive and always had a smile. Beautiful Resort

We loved the TRS Turquesa Resort. The rooms were lovely and all of them have their own pool which we especially loved. The food was great at all of restaurants. The main buffet is amazing with so much variety, but it was a bit busy and noisy for us, because it is the main buffet for the other hotels on the property as well, so we mainly went to the buffet at Turquesa. Our only complaint was that there wasn't much entertainment in the evenings. There was a singer or a piano player in the lobby, but it didn't really provide the set up for a romantic evening of dancing. Otherwise, everything was wonderful and it was especially great having our own butler to book dinners and call the shuttle for us. Our butler was Nancy, and she was just incredible!

Great experience

All aspects of the hotel were very good - cleanliness, food, rooms, staff and support. Sargassum / seaweed was plentiful on the beach, cleanup crews struggled to keep up. May be due to prevailing winds for the winter season (Dec 2025).

Amazing hotel, can’t wait to return

From the moment we arrived , everything was perfect. We were a group of ten, 5 swimout rooms. Without even asking g were were all placed next to each other. Amazing! Our rooms were gorgeous, fully stocked and so comfortable. We met our amazing butler Joanna, and all i can say is thank you my dear, you made our vacation so wonderful. Fabulous

My family and I had a wonderful time at this resort, I’m sure we will return in the future, they could use some extra attention with the public washrooms at all the connecting resorts. I absolutely loved how clean the pool was at our walkout room

Amazing

Everything was fantastic from check in to check out ! Staff amazing , rooms were beautiful! Great service from butlers to drivers , cleaning service , waitresses , bartenders pool staff ! Amazing trip once again

This was our 15th trip back to this resort, almost all of them booked with trip Central. Nicole Deforest makes sure everything is just right for us. The resort welcome desk with flawless check in as usual. We went right to our room and enjoyed exceptional service for the entire week the front desk, the butlers, the servers, the graders in the bar staff were excellent.

14th trip

Everything was excellent. Once again the rooms are clean. The staff were amazing and the grounds are impeccable. We will return for our 15th trip this coming September. The main lobby is a wonderful place to wind down in the evening.. the Chic Cabaret is well worth it, RSP contribution we all always get a swim up room

Amazing Time

This was me and my partners first all inclusive vacation. And we has such a good time! Very clean and relaxing, food was great! The staff were very friendly and helpful to answer any questions and provided us what we needed

Great Adult Retreat

We are seasoned travelers to this resort and we find it suits our tastes for a vacation, nice swim up room, lovely beach to walk on and it gives total relaxation. Upon arrival at your room you are greeted by a Butler who gives you a rundown of things you need to know. Our Butler Service was outstanding - hats off to Victor who was pleasant and made every effort to make our stay one to remember. Excellent attention to detail and made a point to show interest . The other Butler (didn't get her name) was just as good as well. Very attentive The grounds of this resort are immaculate - lovely to walk around and enjoy the flowering bushes - just the total ambience gives you a lift for total relaxation Our room was well kept, very clean and well maintained and the housekeeping staff was very good as well as the night staff for turn downs. We had ample towels. No complaints. The fridge was stocked every day with want we requested There are all types of activities that are posted each day.......They have a Casino which is fun that we went to almost every night after dinner. We met some great people and had lots of fun. In the Swim-Up Pool area - there is bar that will serve you all types of liquor and specialty drinks - so convenient Plus they have introduced a "Food Truck" that features hamburgers and hot dogs - nice touch if you are not wanting to go to the Helios or Capricho or the Grill for lunch - it was a great gathering place to chat with other vacationers TRS has 5 restaurants on the property, but you can also reserve at the other resorts as well. Capricho - we tend to have breakfast and lunch here - it is buffet style but a huge variety of food for everyone's tastes - lovely breads, omelets, fruits and cheese, cold meats, lovely desserts etc. Testrizone - this is a new one for us and was during the evening hours where the menu was varied - Pizzas - quite good, Pasta - Ravioli was excellent and the grouper was outstanding La Boehem (French) - has been updated in decor which was nice and the food choices were very good depending on what is your preference Kuscko - Asian - if you like sushi - one of the best we have eaten- their 'starts" & appetizers were tasty Helios - we went for dinner - lovely atmosphere by the beach and the food was good especially the soup The other restaurants - Bamboo - it was really crowded and busy when we went - but the Salad bar was well presented and tasty - the staff we were not impressed with or the main course El Eldorao - a total disappointment - the salad bar is sub par - this restaurant is old and very tired - it definitely needs to be revamped and upgraded in decor and also their menu - we were not impressed at all but my husband said the steak was good Our recommendation is that you leave tips for the waiters, cleaning staff, butler and bartenders - they really appreciate the gesture and have a tendency to remember you and you will note the difference of service. It is nice to see their smiles of "thank you" from them As mentioned before, we have been here many times, and have seen changes for the good and some are questionable. Having said that, we will be returning. We had some hiccups, any resort has them, nothing is perfect. But was nice that they were resolved quickly.

TRS Turquesa Did Not Disappoint

Great food, service and staff. Enjoyed the swim up Jr suite. Quiet area. Beach is stunning. Kept clean. Meals at Helios: priceless with that ocean view. Carts for the asking although I managed walking too. Surprise birthday cake and room decorated.

Quiet Adults Only Resort

Loved the quality of the food and top shelf liquor available. Attention to detail is everything here, we stayed in a swim up room in 57 building at the back of the resort and enjoyed having our own private patio. Our group felt the Chic Caberet was definitely not worth the price and do not recommend it. The restaurants were fantastic and the selection at the buffet is amazing. Beautiful property, beach, pools and good food

This hotel is truly beautiful, the beach is great, super clean. Pools are busy, but quiet pools are so nice if you just want to relax, daybeds and palapas with lounges were always available(what a treat!) throughout the day. Food was pretty good so missed the mark. Generally good but the servers could learn a little English and just basic hospitality. Rooms were very nice, king size beds that were fairly comfortable. In general a great spot for an adult only retreat.

Great resort.

Arrived at the hotel after a long travel day and reception was average. Checked in, room not ready so directed us to where we could have some lunch which was at Helios. Yes they wanted us to talk to the people in green, but we said not interested, thank you and went to lunch. Got into our room just after lu [... read more]nch. Met our butler MIguel (and informed us there would be Cesar, Chris and Oscar that would also be around). Miguel booked our first two ala cartes then Cesar booked the rest. We were in building 52, top floor with a view of the pool and ocean from afar. The room was a good size, and very clean. Robe and slippers and well stocked fridge, as well as large bottle of water every day. Room was cleaned every day (turned down night time service as we did not need it even though it was available.) We had breakfast and lunch at Helios and Capricho. Great variety and selection of food. Overall, the restaurants provided a nice atmosphere and variety of menu options. We at at Helios (best steak and chicken) as well as dinner at Tentazione (italian - good), Kusko (definitley different food), La Adelita (mexican - really good). Cesar had booked our other ala cartes but unfortunately my husband caught a bit of a bug and we were unable to go so we hit Las Torres (the buffet restaurant - opened at 6:30) The selection of food was excellent. My husband and I had no complaints about the food at all. Bars were good however if you ask for your premium liquor they will give it to you, otherwise you get lower level liquour. When you got the good liquor, drinks were amazing. Faierny (sorry for spelling) at main bar was super nice and made our drinks to perfection. Spent time at the big pool as well as the smaller pool by the swim up rooms. All staff were friendly and accomodated when we needed something. Never had any issue with beach towels. We would put our towels on our chair by 7, go for our walk, have breakfast then sit by pool. Never spent time on beach, but it was crowded with lots of chairs. Did alot of walking on the beach. Alot of little shops and were hounded every day but we just ignored them and they left us alone. Played pickle ball a couple of mornings. Nice courts, just very hot. TRS is attached to the other Palladium hotels, which give you alot of options of restaurants, bars etc. We never had any issues getting a shuttle over or back. We were able to walk to most locations. The shops were nice over at the grand palladium. On our second last day, as I was not feeling well, Oscar was able to secure a cab for our ride to the airport the next day (as I did not want to wait for the Air Canada shuttle). He was super nice and made sure he was there in the lobby waiting to load us. It was greatly appreciated. The few issues we had related to water. Low water pressure one day for a few hours, no water for a couple of minutes the next day, and no toilet water for a few hours on another day (considering not feeling well, a bit of a problem). Went to front desk about toilet issue and all they said they've been having issues. No apologies, no we are working on it so that was disappointing. Our last night, had a huge rainstorm and found a leak in our room right next to our bed, mentioned to them the next morning on check out, again no apology. Last problem was our outside hall faced a strip of stores, and on the Sunday, music blared until 2 in the morning. Overall, considering the few issues we had, we would have no problem in returning to the resort

Switched hotels mid stay

This hotel was very well kept for the most part and most of the staff were wonderful and kind. Our room was the furthest away (building 58) and paralleled a busy road and neighbourhood. All day and night we heard motorcycles and cars racing down the road with loud booming music. Each night we heard loud rap music pounding from houses and a lot of loud (liquid filled) talking. This is the only place you can get cappuccino or pastries, room service does not offer either of these. You can’t order a coffee or tea or even pastries after 11am from room service. We do not drink alcohol so this was my worst nightmare! We only lasted 3 days, our last straw was going to the buffet for dinner and realizing the ONLY buffet available was in the all ages part of the resort which meant we had to take golf cart to buffet and sit with families and kids. Most people go on holiday to adult only resorts to avoid this. There are NO other options. The day we were leaving, I fell really hard in my room because the air conditioner vent on the ceiling was leaking all over the tile floor (the pictures would shock you). On our second day we learned we could get a cappuccino from the main bar in the lobby (remember, we are at far end of resort) so we walked up to get one and stood at the bar (which had no patrons, only about 6 people working behind all talking to each other and ignoring us standing there), that is, until we pulled out a $5 bill. Even then it was sub-par service and hospitality at best. We don’t expect a red carpet and are pretty down to earth and friendly but that was ridiculous. We called Trip Central asking if we could move hotels and were told (VERY nicely) to call Air Transat as they had put the package together. We called Air Transat and they said we could NOT change hotels as we had already left Canada. How does that make sense???? How would I know if the hotel I had booked I would have issue’s with prior to arriving? We ended up booking another hotel, paying for private transfer and paying for balance of stay which cost us another $4,000.00. Then the day before our departure, we realized how late our flight was and the new hotel required us to checkout by noon. This meant we would be sitting in limbo for 5 hours before our ride to airport. We checked Air Transat online to see if any earlier flights and they had seats available! We called Air Transat asking if we could switch to earlier flight (which would have been a win for them because they could sell our later flight ticket at a higher cost), once again, Air Transat said no! This is a joke now, I was furious! So after sitting for hours before heading to airport, we get charged $100 US for 2kg overweight…. Interesting because we did not purchase anything and it was the same weight as it was when we left, minus the floaters we left behind and whatever we used. Heaven forbid you question it, they don’t speak English. We have been to punta cana 4 times this year alone and have always stayed at Bahia Principe Ambar but wanted to give TRS Turquesa a shot because we had heard good things. NEVER again. In fact, I don’t think we will return to DR anytime soon because of this nightmare. I’ve veered off, I apologize but please know, Air Transat Vacations will do nothing to help you, the Punta Cana airport is getting worse everyday and TRS Turquesa is not what they advertise at all. Beware, Air Transat Vacations can not be modified in ANY WAY once you leave your country, regardless of the reason and will do nothing to help, assist or compensate you.

Fantastic Resort

Everything was amazing. The whole resort was very clean and very well maintained. Our room was big. comfortable and the mini bar was restocked daily. The food, drinks, entertainment and beach were beyond our expectations.

Overall, Disappointing.

The room was tired and in need of a re-fresh. The curtains around the bed were mildewed on arrival and we had to ask for them to be removed and cleaned. Turndown service was only provided on one night of our stay. The music and entertainment in all of the venues was too loud - even when just playing music you could not carry on a conversation in Helios. The food was average at best, and repetitive across all of their outlets. The massages were not worth the money and not provided by st [... read more]aff with appropriate training. We had a couples massage and it was clear that my masseur was playing follow the leader with the colleague who was massaging my husband. All in all, we paid a premium for this stay, and it was not worth it. I am certain there must be much better options for the price.

Good with a few execptions

The hotel was ok at best. You can tell that it is an older hotel. Our patio door didn't lock (we were on the first floor) and was very hard to open and close. Half of the time our key fobs didn't work so we had to go to the lobby to reset. The first three days, we didn't have cold water, you will burn yourself taking a hot shower. I had requested first floor because I cannot do stairs and was not aware that they didn't have elevators when we booked 10 months prior, they put me on the third floor and I refused the room. Had to pay extra $350 to get a room on the first floor.
