Great value hotel right on the beach

Stayed here for 4 days to see Negril, came in with proper expectations given the size and amenities and was very happy overall with the trip. The hotel is small and location is amazing, steps from the beach. Rooms were a bit dated but clean and the vaulted ceiling on the 2nd floor made it seem larger. Soft sand underfoot in the water and no rocky areas by the hotel beach. Great places to eat all around, honestly in Jamaica you can’t go wrong with food. There’s so much pride and love in what they make, with recipes handed down for generations. This hotel wasn’t fancy and if you go in with the proper expectations it delivers a good value option for exploring Negril - clean, safe accommodations at a great location.

Friendly and accomodating

My Second stay here in two months. The staff are very friendly and professional. Rooms are cleaned spotless daily. They Treat you like family. Locations is ideal!! The Beach is perfect!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Resort needs a huge upgrade

The hotel is very run down and our room was full of ants. We had no hot water and our room wasn’t cleaned the whole week we were there. The staff are amazing and the beach is gorgeous. We would not book again.

Never again to this resort!

This “resort” needs major help. Where do we start! No hot water….it would get a little warm if you let the shower runs for 20 minutes before getting in, if not you froze to death. There was only 1 key to our room since the card lock was broken. Housekeeping couldn’t access our room to clean it because we had the only key. We had to chase down the cleaning staff just to get clean towels, toilet paper and other essentials. We didn’t have a fridge in our room, they expect you to pay $10 US a day t [... read more]o have one. The ice machine was always broken so you couldn’t get your water cold. Now the best part. There are 2 large bars near that the locals go to. Parties every night. Most times they went until 5am!! Oh yes, we were suppose to have a king bed with a garden view. That did not happen. We had a single bed and a small double bed and our garden view was overlooking the parking lot of the bar next door! One night was horrendous, the night before their “Labour Day” holiday party until 5:30am. Two very bad accidents on the road in front of the “resort” racing motors and extreme loud bass music. We had one night that we were able to sleep. Oh yes, I can’t forget to mention the bugs in your room, the roosters and dogs barking as soon as the music stops in the early hours. Stay away from “rooms on the beach”!

Rooms on the Beach !

Pretty plain Resort no bells are whistles comes with a complimentary breakfast that is repeated every day. Patricia was the maid she took good care of us made sure we had sugar and coffee and clean the room whenever we wanted pool towels are available the chairs on the beach or at the resort are not yellow anymore the price of booze was very reasonable. I had one problem the hired security guard stole my Bluetooth speaker but in the morning I turned it on with my phone and it was in his bag in a Cupboard I could hear it playing his name was David, was not impressed. I told Kim Misha about it and she was going to get somebody and David came over and pulled it out of his bag but at least I got my speaker back I think he was surprised when I could turn it on and off with my phone. It is very quiet at this Resort in May except for Woodstock next door but you are in the middle of the Seven Mile Beach which is nice you can walk both ways the sun was very hot and a lot of rain is expected for the time of year. I have been there before and I will probably go again sometime , The Price is Right! Oh yeah it does have a large pool that is cleaned every morning by Yadean. The rooms were a fair size had a single bed and a double bed we had lots of hot water when we found out where to put the handle and the air conditioning was great and you would get a little small TV and a little coffee pot with some tea and coffee and sugar but they don't have any cream you had to go to the kitchen to get cream for the coffee . The continental breakfast existed of coffee tea orange juice a bagel or white or brown toast two little pieces of watermelon two little pieces of pineapple two little pieces of cantaloupe and I mean little pieces and little bit of jam and a little bit of butter for your toaster Bagels and a little cupcake chocolate sometimes or blueberry that's everything, and an hard boiled eye. You can also order off menu ! $. There are a few places across the street that you can eat little restaurants and there's a little store and there is also the jerk chicken guy that sets up at night time right across the street from the resort the price of chicken rice and a little veggies with a piece of Festival was 1500 Jamaican dollars which is about 15 bucks Canadian which is about $10 us. If your transportation is supplied by your air service the trip is approximately 2 to 3 hours from Montego Bay to Negril .

Great staff! Great location

Great location, right on the beach.Right next to some Live music spots (noise was not an issue for sleeping). Front desk, room cleaners and bar tenders were all very kind and helpful. Above and beyond to make you feel at home. I rebooked my next stay before I even got home.

Rooms Negril

We loved the hotel. The garden area was very clean and well maintained. The room was comfortable. It was good to have a safety deposit box. The beach was great. The continental breakfast was good, you have the option of buying a la carte also. We tried the a la carte breakfast and it was very tasty. The lunches were also fine. Fantastic Time!!!

My wife and myself,vacationed here from March10th to the 17th.The resort is directly on the most beautiful beach,water is calm,sunsets absolutely breathtaking.The resort features a continental breakfast,with a fruitbowl,hardboiled egg,toast or bagel pluscoffeee,tea and or juice,this was very filling and fresh.You could also order fresh cooked breakfast,such as bacon and eggs.You have the option to order dinner such as hamburgers and hotdogs as well as tradional Jamaican dishes,Miss Kimmy was the [... read more] best.The room we had was on the second floor of building 5,it had a vaulted ceilings and the shower had plenty of hotwater and Miss Tenesha kept the room sparkling clean.This is not an all inclusive resort but if you are looking for a lowkey real Jamaican vacation this is definitely the ideal spot!!!

hotel is so so,basic. breakfast is a boiled egg toast and fruits.It just didn’t cut it for me. furniture with broken drawers,shower head messed up…dogs barking all night…on the woodstock side… but the beach is a 10,Ms Velma at the dining area as well,most of the security agents are super nice. I did not like the person that checked me in,Manager or not i was not impressed .

Disappointing stay

Not impressed. These are the major issues, there are more but not enough space: Couldn’t open the door to first room given, used a key not a card, deadbolt broken. Paid for garden view Kingsize bed, got a double and twin bed. Room catégories not same as website. Inquired about upgrade to beach view, was told the resort was full, saw empty rooms during our entire stay. No follow up from staff. Requested fridge before arriving, had to pay $8US per day upfront before installed. In room safe requ [... read more]ired padlock.No coffee maker. No blankets, took 3 days to get 2 blankets. Room was cleaned twice in 10 days. Took a full day to get toilet paper. Cold water in sink non functional, shower had no faucet, no (limited) hot water or pressure. Hard to see image on TV. Restaurant closed at 3pm. Was given a lot of excuses but no action to accommodate. Beach littered with cigarette butts.

Comfortable and Clean place to stay with great Staff.....

The rooms here were spacious and comfortable......If anything was amiss, staff were there to help promptly......big thanx to Rambo, Mazie, Velma, Calvin, the cleaning staff and front desk staff. They were all great and make me feel welcome when I come to this clean resort....

Great resort/location

Great location on 7 mile beach rooms kept fairly clean Since it’s not a all inclusive resort (only breakfast included) there are many restaurants to choose from on the beach or just a 10 min cab drive to the cliffs Food is amazing

Great Location!

This is my 3rd time at Rooms Negril. I will continue to go there annually but it does have a few minor issues that aren't even worth mentioning. Most importantly the wi-fi is an issue. It did not exist! So if this is important to you, you should keep this in mind. It was always going to be "fixed tomorrow". Other than that it is at a great location. But be forewarned, this is NOT a fancy all-inclusive. That is a different type of vacation. If you want to meet the people of Jamaica and taste the actual cuisine of the island and the wonderful restaurants in the west end then this is the place for you!

Best Authentic Jamaican Breakfast Ever!!

Good value for money. The resort grounds are well kept and the room was very clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Our greatest experience was having the most delicious authentic Jamaican Breakfast ever and we couldn’t leave without commending the chef who we met personally.

Great stay!!!

This was our third time at rooms Negril. I would have expected to get an upgrade to a ocean view but instead we paid. The manager Sieanna was very approachable and helpful. Our second room was amazing. The grounds were kept clean at all times. We would return again.

Great Resort

I love going to Rooms Negril. The rooms are clean, staff are so friendly and the location can not be any better. The lunch menu is affordable and the food is tasty. Amazing stay and will definitely be planning my next vacation there soon.

Beautiful spot! Food was good but a little pricey on the resort, but there was lots of local reasturants around. Enjoyed our stay, would definitely go back. Beach was really nice! Staff was very friendly

Lovely resort

The rooms were very clean as was the whole resort. The only complaint is that to have a fridge in your room it would cost $8 a day. That should come with the room. The grounds are beautiful, restaurant very nice, and the staff are all very friendly and helpful.

Excellent 10 days at Rooms on the Beach, Negril

Upon arrival our room was ready, staff were very accommodating when we asked to be change to a lower level and we were changed the next morning. Reception staff were very helpful if we had questions or concerns, they would go out of their way to help. Continental breakfast was great to get our day started and if you require more or if we slept in as we did some days, we purchased a full breakfast for an excellent price. Cleaning staff did a great job, our room was always clean when we returned from the beach. Beach is beautiful, O’Neil and Chris did a great job of making sure the beach was clean and that we had everything we needed on the beach. Security is great they check your room number as you leave and arrive back. We had a wonderful weather for 10 days and hope to return soon for a longer visit next time making this our 7th visit to Rooms. Nice resort

rooms are clean and spacious. Beach was kept clean and lots of room to lay around. One downfall is the restaurant, the diner menu is minimal, not enough variety to choose from and quite pricey. Continental Breakfast was very good and the lady (I can't remember her name) running the show was awesome, she just made my mornings everyday. I will stay there again.
