Awesome resort

The resort is beautiful,the food is amazing,and the staff are so welcoming .The monkeys,and Mexican animals are fun to watch.We have been to this resort 5 times,and love it.The buffet is amazing.Its fantastic that the staff remember us every year.

Fabulous Resort

We choose Grand Sirenis because of the beach, pools and Lazy River. The staff, food and room always exceeds our expectations. We also enjoy looking at the wildlife on site. The night and daytime entertainment are great. We watched the fire show on the beach and the Lion King at the theatre. We spent our days on the beach and they had Valentines Day entertainment one day and a fabulous 3 piece band another day. We also enjoyed swimming in the ocean and snorkeling. Great Resort

Positives: - Grounds: great set-up, nice environment (vegetation, wildlife, etc.), well kept; - Food: big variety for all tastes and requirements, fresh, clean eating places; - Beach: excellent: sandy, in a little gulf thus protected of big waves and warmer; - Service: Personnel very friendly and helpful. Negatives: - People allowed to sell (black market ?) pot and other drugs on the beach while smoking themselves those products, which is annoying for non drug consumers like me; - Conci [... read more]erges and other personnel insisting too hard on customers taking promotional presentations for time-sharing packages, etc. All in all it was worth the money, looking forward to coming back in the future

Great Resort Grand Sirenis Cancun

This hotel is amazing and we love out stay there. The staff are great, food was good and ambience is superb. We loved staying there, The room services was excellent. Can't complain at all. We had a super vaccation. Thanks to Trip central Wendy and team and the hotel staff.

A little disappointing

Family of 6. 3 rooms booked. Buffet for breakfast lunch and dinner were good. Wish the dinner buffet would switch up themes as there’s only one buffet for dinner. When we arrived we went to Book restaurants and they had nothing available. Which was super disappointment because we were there celebrating a birthday. Which they knew and did nothing for or about. We did end up booking the Asian, Mexican and carnal. Two of us got sick from the habacchi restaurant and Mexican restaurant early in the w [... read more]eek.We frequent Mexico sometimes twice a year and never have sickness so this was a red flag for me so we just stuck to what we know and cancelled the other restaurant we had booked at the end of the week. The menus for the restaurants were not great either. AC stopped working In one of the rooms. It took 3 days to finally move rooms. Resort is big but leads you to a whole lot of nothing. Beach was disappointing I know that’s not in their control but the pictures online were still very deceiving and they weren’t really doing much to clean up UNLESS you are a member of course and their side of the beach is spotless…Rooms were ok. Ants everywhere. No hot water in our last day as we all had to take freezing showers to be ready for the airport. I believe there was still none when we left. Pool service was very few and far between every single day. Tip or no tip. Pools were ok. Nothing crazy. All of them quite far apart. We didn’t visit one pool they had at all. The resort is big but then the pool areas for sitting around the pools are very small? If that makes sense. We had to be up at 730 To get a spot you really want. The monkeys were adorable if you get to see them so that was a highlight. Very far from the airport which we knew as we’ve stayed at the Bahia principe akumal but for some reason this travel felt so long. It was going to take 2.5 hours back to the airport and getting up at 5am for that transportation or of course pay $50 for private 6am transport and it take 1.5 so we paid it obviously. They do have a room tax of $17 USD when you check in. I also paid the departure tax before arriving in Mexico which I have to say I’ve NEVER done. No one asked me about it … so that was $140 for all 6 of us probably down the drain. All in all won’t be back but we never double dip resorts anyways but definitely the more disappointing one.

Amazing resort

Loved this resort.4th time visiting.The renovations were awesome.The food was all delicious.The staff go above and beyond with everything.We had the best time,and will definitely be returning next year.

Fantastic resort!

First off the people that work here are so friendly, helpful and appreciative of a small tip. Not saying this because it makes up for other shortcomings as everything is truly is top notch at this resort. We have been to over 20 all inclusive resorts over the years and this has to be one of the best experiences we have had. The restaurants and bars all appear to have been recently updated and are unique and beautiful. The bars are well staffed and you hardly wait for a drink at any of them. They also all seem to be happy to make specialty drinks upon request and do it well. The public bathrooms are all updated and kept very clean which is a bonus. Lazy river is also a nice touch. Beach is sandy until you get to the water and then there is coral so water shoes might be recommended for kids but overall it is very scenic and relaxing. Rooms were spacious and comfortable as well. The resort is spread out but we like to get some steps in so that was not an issue for us, you can also get a ride on the golf carts pretty much anywhere which is an option. Overall truly a 5 star experience, wish it was closer to the airport but definitely worth it and will likely head back here before trying another resort as you cannot beat it as far as bang for your buck!

Beautiful Resort

A very large property and having shuttle carts was necessary and welcomed. Plenty of water areas and food options. The hotel staff were very friendly and polite. They were always eager to help in any way. The most negative thing was our room. The A/C was broken. Several attempts were have to fix it. The last night was the only cool night. Just to  [... read more]let you know the Sunwing reps were rude and not concerned about the excursions l had booked or if l asked them anything they wouldn’t giver me the time of day. If it wasn’t for the excellent concise staff we wouldn’t have had a good experience. We actually joined the Ultimate Club. We enjoyed all that the hotel had to offer except our room !!! Also Sunwing overbooked seats and l had to pay for the lady two seats.

Best place ever

Highest marks in every category from food to grounds from customer service to activities. I have never been to a resort I would return to until now. Seriously 10/10 Clean, spacious inside and out, price good, variety of food , evening shows great, quantity of food, towels and alcohol. Even other customers I meet were awesome to be around and happy. I have not one thing negative to say except I wish I could have stayed longer.

Fantastic resort

We loved our stay here and would recommend. The lazy river is fantastic and a great way to move around the resort. The staff were friendly. The pools were clean and we didn’t see any algae which is hard to do with hot weather. We went to 6 of the restaurants and loved the Peruvian and Mexican restos. The ceviche was incredible at the Peruvian. Our room was lovely and we had an amazing view of the ocean. No complaints at all. Nadia the concierge was fantastic in helping us out last minute. Just [... read more] don’t do the timeshare presentation. It is isn’t a deal at all. On a high note, we saw the dolphin show and it was very educational and entertaining. What a fun week. Bring your snorkel because you can snorkel right at the beach.

Amazing Resort!

We had a great time at this resort. 1 Hour from the airport. Super clean. Felt very safe. Wasn’t lacking anything. Lots of food options. Lots of activities. All staff were super friendly and helpful. Would definitely return.

Mexican vacation

The Grand Sirenisis an amazing resort. Everyone at the resort were so helpful.The grounds were outstanding and it was lovely to see the wildlife. The food was delicious and well presented. We had an amazing time and would recommend this resort to everyone

Honest rebiew

This resort is better than the reviews you will read. I just returned from a fabulous week at this resort and everything was great. Food was good except the Mexican restaurant. Pool bars were excellent and the sky bar was amazing

Vacation

We were thoroughly impressed. I have been to six other resorts, and this one trumps them all. My wife and I plan on returning next year if possible. I can't imagine a better place to relax. It was awesome.

Amazing Resort

This resort is amazing for either family or couples. The food, rooms, pools etc are wonderful. There is food for everyone from buffets to bbq’s. The drinks are wonderful. The kids section looked so cool. We are thinking of bringing our granddaughter there. Staff could not be more helpful and friendly

Beautiful resort

This resort was very fun with lots of attractions and entertainment! Beautiful beach & pools! Monkeys and other animals were all around. Amazing lazy river runs through the hotel. Perfect place for a family vacation.

Grand Sirenis Mayan Riviera - amazing vacation!

We spent 9 days at the resort (April 13-21/23) and enjoyed all of it! The rooms were a great size and very comfy; the food was ample and amazing - lots of a la carte options with a variety of restaraunts and an ice cream shop at the pool; lots of wildlife around the resort including monkeys and iguanas; super friendly staff; entertainment, the market comes to the resort a couple times a week to shop for souveniers, tours are available to book at the resort (which were awesome), the beach was wo [... read more]nderful with lots of seating, shade & sun, a swing for great selfies and snorkeling (bring your snorkel & mask!). Overall we had a wonderful vacation and found the resort enjoyable with everything we needed. There were several weddings at the resort as well. No issues at all with Covid concerns, no masking required. This was a repeat visit for my friend and my first time at GS and I would go back! Missing it already.

Terrific Value

We have been travelling to Mexico for 25 years and this was one of our best. For our 50th wedding anniversary, we brought our 3 kids, their husbands and wives and our 7 grandchildren, ages 12 to 18. One of our friends recommended the Grand Sirenis for children and they were right on target. The rooms are modern and bright. We were happy with the jetted tub and the shower. White tiled floors were easy to clean and house keeping kept them bright. The resort is huge. My wife's step counter reach [... read more]ed 13,000 one day. Well distributed so that each of the pools were available, but not over crowded. The two pools popular with our grandkids each had nets for volleyball and water polo. The pool nearest our room had an ice cream shop, that was well used. Buffet options were great. From breakfast to supper, we always had great choices. While there we were able to book both the Japanese, and the Steak House for all 15 of us. My wife and I also ate at the Mexican, the Italian and the Mediterranean, which we really enjoyed. The Lazy River was very popular with all of us. It became a place for everyone to relax. Our only wish would be for a better beach. It is not only rocky, but very small over all. Snorkeling was fun, but walking miles on the sand was not a thing. My wife and I went to the "secret" lagoon. It was too wavy that day but a very interesting site. During our 2 weeks there, the elevator for our second floor room died and was out of business for a couple of days. The elevator to the main buffet/reception, worked the first day and not after that. Staff were great. The concierge people were very helpful. Isaac was our guy and he was friendly and greeted us every time we passed. The bars and restaurants were well placed and we made good use of them all. A number of us liked to finish our swim day with cappuccinos at the coffee bar. Toward the end of our stay we had rain and that turned the tile floors into skating rinks. We would certainly recommend this resort to others.

Fantastic Resort!

A beautiful and clean resort full of friendly, warm, welcoming staff. Food was great! Both the buffet and a la carte restaurants had lots of variety and options for everyone. Excellent family atmosphere, the pools, beach and lazy river were lots of fun for all. Rooms were gorgeous, clean, comfortable - the jacuzzi and the rain shower were amazing after a day in the sun.
