Memories Paraiso January 2026

The main lobby was nice, the staff are very nice and grateful for any gifts. The beach was beautiful. Overall the hotel was not as advertised. The booking was for Pool view. We did not receive the PREMIUM CLASS JUNIOR SUITE POOL VIEW. The room needed repairs, the tub moved when you moved and felt unsafe. The hotel appeared to be doing some renovations to some buildings and one of the pools was closed. They advised of the pool closure days before departure. The concierge did assist i [... read more]n getting us the needed items missing from our room (towels, beach towels, fixing the safe). Bring your own toilet paper and carry some with you at all times as often the public washrooms did not have any. There are no face clothes or hand towels so bring your own.

Beautiful staff

The resort is an older one but you don’t even noticed that. Its grounds are kept nice. The food was amazing! The best part is the staff! Kind, helpful, beautiful and so friendly. Bar service was top notch.

Grand Memory Santa Maria

The service at the restaurant was extremely poor—if you don't tip, the waiters won't serve you. The number had a broken air conditioner—I had to have it repaired. Service is not well in restorant and beachbar.

Not What It Used to Be

I loved Cuba years ago, but this visit to Memories Paraiso was disappointing. The resort felt empty and sad, with tired staff and poor food. Even after being upgraded to Grand Memories, the experience didn’t improve. The buildings are rundown, the beach was messy, and there was little for my kids (young adults) to enjoy. Sadly, we won’t be returning.

Welcoming and warm

I had a great trip recently to Memories Paraiso. I discovered I was in "premium class" a few days in. In particular I would like to thank Mulvalie(sic) for her kind attention. As a solo traveller I greatly appreciated her consideration and inclusiveness. Overall this friendliness of the staff could not be improved upon and it made for a superb visit. Thanks to all the staff at Memories Paraiso

Better than expected

After reading plenty of negative reviews, I was prepared for various shortages and some less than cleanly facilities. While staying in March 2025, there was lots of food and coffee. The electricity never went out and the room was spotless. The grounds were well kept and the Paraiso side of the resort (pool and beach) were delightfully quiet. These were minor concerns compared to a spectacular beach and a full belly.

Mixed feelings

Hotel nice and clean, as for the rooms they need some work done to upgrade them. We asked to be moved as the room them put us in was unacceptable. The fridge was not working and not clean and a lot of the knobs for the dresser drawers were missing so we were unable to open them to put our things in. Bathroom toilet did not flush properly and bathtub faucets rusty. The hotel is in the very beautiful beach ?? the resort has a beautiful landscape is very good for walking around and for exercise, the food is ok but lunch and dinner buffet has seafood almost every day.but the hotel can’t not mention the basic need no toilet paper in the public bathroom no soap in the public bathrooms no coffee almost every day no beer

A great expiriance

This time we had our vacation in Memories Paraiso. The place is well-organized with flowers and a lot of vegetation around it. The people were very friendly. The food was well prepared with a big variety. I liked the pears and the cookies!

This is the first time I ever left a bad review and I’m sad to to it as this is our favourite place to go 7 times here sunwing and memories should be ashamed of them selves .we wore so excited to get back to here we even brought family bragging how great the service was when we arrived we were givin a room that joined onto another room no lock so complete strangers could just walk in our room we asked to be moved were told wasn’t going to happen we waited a hour went back said we’re not staying  [... read more]in that room so they moved us to a building that had just staff staying in there we had no towels or toilet paper for 2 days I go to desk they send me to grand I go to grand demanded towels and toilet paper they then said do you want tonight well holy blank blank . Safe dosnt work in room ok gees. One of the staff staying there pees on steps and wall and lays out a big goober on steps we go to desk ask if can clean didn’t come till next day this all happens on first few days. The customer service desk people in memories were ignorant and not caring with the exception of the people who take the luggage very friendly and tried to be helpful . The food is Cuba it’s hit and miss no one starved the bread was great as always the dining staff awesome as always they are so kind and yes funny they make the best of all the shortages and make everything so nice they go out of there way to ensure great service Alejandro was such a sweet guy great service and Magdalena is the best her ongoing dedication to her job is something we all could learn from took her time to ensure everything was great and always had a big smile . Other than the 2 at customer service all the staff and the people are awesome . There was shortages yes we all know like no coffee for few days that’s expected. The beach is the best in the world just love that beach grounds kept beautiful as always they keep it so nice I gave service a fair only because of the desk staff rest of staff was a 5 star

Great staff unless you wanted something done with your room or upgraded to Diamond club and expected anything to be different

I’ll keep this short. I’ve been to this hotel 4 times now. That was the last. The friendly bar and wait staff don’t make up for the lack of service from the hotel. Put it this way, I was supposed to be pool view… I ended up finally after 3 room changes being able to stare a row of trees 10 feet from the balcony.

The Perfect Getaway

This hotel was just right for our vacation. We stayed at the Grand Memories --the grounds were clean and well kept. The rooms were serviced daily as well as bottled waters to keep you hydrated while at the beach or at the pool. The staff were just amazing,warm and always accommodating with your various request. They treated everyone like royalty. I would highly recommend as after a 7 night stay we felt like we were family.

Woman beware

I’ll start with the good things about this resort, beach was amazing. Food was great! Our male housekeeper was awesome. After about two days we and other people noticed woman were being followed to their rooms at night by a “man in the bushes” a 21 year old male was robbed and beat up by a “man in the bush” it was to the point I wouldn’t walk alone at night without my husband. It’s Cuba!

Other then having ants mold and other things I won’t mention on our mattress (which was flipped to hide the fact even more)… there was the whole having to book you “a la cartes” on a daily basis and not in advance. Now I’m assuming they did this because they used the same locations, which I figured out when I went for the italien restaurent and had a bad allergic reaction (seafood allergie) only to realize they had serve seafood the night before at the same location. Needless to say th [... read more]at was the last time we did a la carte. There were other issues but the others are to be expected when going to Cuba so it is what it is. Now, I have to say, the buffet in general was probably the best I’ve had in Cuba (we’ve been 8 times). They are going thru a terrible recession, so while not we’ll off to start with, they’re really hard of now. Be generous! I have to also say they had some management in from Mexico which seemed to have helped as well. Best beaches around. Last note: listen when the life guards whistle and tell you not to go to far out. A few people got caught because of a bad undertow one day, the life guards did what they could do but after close to 45 minute struggle and have brought all 3 people to shore. One person didn’t make it. You’re in Cuba… don’t be an idiot.

Amazing staff!

The hotel was clean and friendly. It is in need of some update. There were very few pool chairs available as many are broken and need replacing. The food was exactly what you expect in Cuba. The amazing staff made the vacation. Everyone was so friendly and endearing.

Great vacation

The hotel was very clean. Staff were extremely nice and helpful. Some items they did not have all the time however we adapted. Would definitely stay at the hotel again. The beach and pool were amazing.

Nice resort and very friendly staff

Beach, grounds, pool all beautiful ! Food was very good , excellent fruits, meat , vegetables and fantastic fresh baked bread. We stayed for 2 weeks and end of last week we got Covid. Stuff were great, they called every morning to see how we feel and what we want to eat that day. Food and weather was delivered to our room every day, and doctors were visiting as well. I assumed there were more Covid cases in resort but not reported. We didn’t see anybody wearing mask…….

No complaints

Beautiful beaches, staff and grounds. As per usual Cuba style some things are in need of repair. But nothing that impacted the quality of our vacation. Pools and bars around every corner and most of all beautiful cuban people always smiling joking and laughing. Our customer service rep Yailyn LeonMartin was epic ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Yusimi and Ernesto At the lobby bar parisio side were also amazing so friendly and they had ALL the good drinks!!!

5 star staff!!!

Grounds are beautiful and lush, beach is spectacular!! Rooms are comfortable and clean. Food is good lots of options and always something available. What really makes this resort is the staff! Yailyn at customer service is truly amazing! Such a dedicated and kind person! All of the bartenders, room cleaners, drivers are always kind and happy. Always smiling and joking.
