2nd stay at Memories Flamenco

The beach is truly the highlight of this resort, without a doubt one of the best. It’s a long, breathtaking stretch of soft white sand with crystal-clear water. There are plenty of palapa and lots of chairs, so you never feel stressed about finding shade or a good spot. The pool area is just as enjoyable. The atmosphere comes alive starting at 10am when the music begins, and the entertainment team keeps the energy up all day with tons of fun activities. There were absolutely no shortages of anything, and the buffet offered a wide variety of options every day. Our room was very clean and comfortable. We had a room with two twin beds, and they were super comfortable, we slept great every night. Housekeeping did a wonderful job keeping everything tidy. The only small issue worth mentioning is that the pool washroom doors don’t shut properly, which could definitely use some attention. However, this was very minor compared to how wonderful everything else was. This was our second time at Memories Flamenco, and it definitely won’t be our last. We already can’t wait to come back again

Hard to Review

In light of what is happing to Cuba it's hard to give a negative review. However, They only cleaned my room once in 8 days. I left money and a gift for the Maid and asked for some water. But she never came back. My sink was plugged the whole time so I scooped it out with a cup and into the toilet each day. Other issues too but what's the sense. My biggest anger was with the stupid Government. I quit smoking a year ago after 50 years smoking. I used a Vape to get me by. Got to Cuba and they took  [... read more]my Vapes, not allowed in Cuba. Now, holy shit, here I'm on holidays, sit at the beach and have a drink, relax, and puff on my Vape. Now what, illusions all gone. I'm very mad at myself but I did go buy cigarettes to try and enjoy my trip. II they don't allow the sale of e-cigarettes that's their choice, but they should leave Tourists alone. Been to Cuba many times but my Family and friends will never be going again because of this. Spoke to several others in the same situation and they also said never go back again. Cuba has enough problems without stupid rules that make tourist stay away.

Terrific resort.

We went from January 13th to 20th. We picked the perfect week. Only had one cloudy breezy day in which we went to the pool instead. The rest of the week was average 25-27 celcius. Our room was good and clean each day. Nice balcony view from building four. We very enjoyed the buffet. Lots to pick from with four grills going .The dessert tables were very good. The resort looked only about 60% full but the staff everywhere from bartenders to maids to the guy on the beach who always had the perfect lounges for us were extremely courteous. In a nutshell we had a great time and look forward to going back in April ( if Trump don't screw up their oil supply from venezela )

Hotel is lost its four star rating

This is just an awful place to take a vacation for one week other than the beach there's absolutely zero customer service during the week. the beach bar both of them completely out of ice for 2 days major problem is none of the telephones work in the Suites you can't get a hold of the front desk for any little thing unless you actually walk to the front desk and then half of them don't even know what you're talking about the food menus where there used to be four or five stars menus are complete [... read more]ly gone in all the à la carte restaurants here the menus are still posted but there's nothing available on them so you don't know ahead of time which restaurant to go to cuz they don't post what they're actually serving until you sit down and then you get the big disappointment you are left with practically nothing to choose from for dinner for appetizer or dessert. the newly renovated rooms are very nice. The breakfast and Buffet area food is okay it's the only real place to eat but the menu never changes there was no shrimp no Lobster there was not even any type of beef steak other than hamburger pork and chicken it's pretty well used in every dish The resort bars for a day and a half completely out of draft beer that was unbelievable, as well as some premium stock Liquors you could not get like vodka and a few others where sold out at times.Resort grounds are kept beautifully trimmed the beach of course is beautiful even though half of it is gone it's nothing like the pictures you see on the website .there's no such thing as premium or personal concierge you can't get a hold of one anyway because the room phones in the entire Resort are dead.the biggest disappointment is the premium Club office personnel after the very first day they disappeared most Personnel that was left to serve you practically don't have a clue of what's going on in this Resort .there was also only one show in the week 7 nights only one show all the rest of the shows were canceled. most bartenders and restaurants staff had poor communication skills like everyone else at this Resort especially the management at the front desk and the premium service office staff could barely understand anything you tried to ask them they just shook their head with no clue of what to do.not trained well about operations in the entire Resort

Horrible Experience

This is our 10th to Cuba and our second time to this resort but has gone downhill since. The biggest issue was the shortage of toilet paper in the entire resort. There were times where every stall was out of toilet paper. There are no soap dispensers in the pool area bathroom. We paid for the premium package which we did not receive at all. Although the snorkeling trip was amazing thanks to Daniel our guide. A big shout out Maria and Yanet as well.

Good resort and beautiful beach!

Memories Flamenco is a wonderful resort and was the destination of our first family trip to Cuba. We truly love Cuba and its people, and we already planning to return. It is important to have realistic expectations. This is Cuba, and many people are facing challenges. You should visit the REAL CUBA, the nearest town then, you will able to see the other side of the moon. The entertainment team works very hard to make guests feel welcome and to create memories and smile. Staff members across all departments-gardeners, cleaners, reception, management, bar and service staff-do their best to provide quality service. The food is decent, and there is always enough to eat. once again, travelers should keep in mind the realities of the destination. If someone has very high expectations, they may wish to consider a higher priced alternative elsewhere. I love Cuba and appreciate the warmth and dedication of its people!

Quite Incredible Resort

The grounds are so tidy and mature, blooms everywhere. The service was amazing, very helpful, fast and friendly. The staff were as good as they could be, always lots of smiles. The Premium section of beach was not as good as the main area, but no shortage of chaises and palapas. The pool was very clean and well marked as to depth. We were surprised by the variety of food, especially in the a la cartes. We had salmon three times in the week.

Beautiful resort

The hotel was awesome.needs a little paint job here and there.dining room and food were great.we don't mind cuban food.lots of variety.would recemond hotel to anyone 4 star in my rating.looking forward to next April to go again.

Wonderful vacation

Enjoyed our visit, rooms clean and everything working as it should. We were in premium building 2 ocean view. Always found something good to eat . Breakfast and often lunch in the premium restaurant was always good, also enjoyed tacos on the beach as well as premium grill. Beach beautiful but eroding on right hand side where premium area, left side more level. Need water shoes to get past shells and rocks as you enter water but after that just sand. Amazing Resort Pristine Beaches - Hola! Cuba

We had a great time at the resort. Amazing price we got from trip Central and then it was followed up by a perfectly planned and executed trip. Thanks to trip Central sunwing and Nexus stores and a bigger thanks to Robin, our trip Central rep who helped us to book this vacation package at the last moment. The whole experience from booking right after checking in and checking out was smooth and we were kept well informed by all the travel partners.

GREAT RESORT

Grounds were clean Beach was amazing and my room was top of the line. Great view and close to all ammenities. Am already planning my trip back for in December with the rest of the family as well

Beautiful Grounds

Beautiful Grounds and beach. Facilities could use updating. Food was average for Cuba. Workers are resort were fantastic. We were there late October, the resort was half empty - no line up's anywhere. Misqkitoes were heavy in the evenings.

Happy fun times at Memories Flamenco.

Well located resort, within 15 minutes of the airport. The staff were awesome. The facilities are a bit older, but they get the job done. Food was plentiful if not very varied. Beach was great, but I would recommend water shoes, as a lot of coral and shells build up one the edge.

Not for me

The resort itself wasn't too bad, everything was close, but did not like the service, the mosquitos were terrible, the food, forget it, you're eating the same thing over and over again, the rooms old, will not recommend this resort.

Mosquito Nightmare

I must say I was very disappointed with this hotel the staff & workers..we had many things not working & when we would complain to front desk they said would take care of it & never did numerous times..the grounds were impeccable & the beach was beautiful but the service was poor..it seems the staff didn't want to work without the promise of tips/money..also workers in washrooms & dining room acting as security without actually working..also they should be ashamed of themselves..they have tons o [... read more]f cats & kittens all over the resort & no one feeding them..very sad to see & heartbreaking..this is my 7th time going to Cuba & probably my last unfortunately

Resort needs alot of maintenance

Not alot of variety in the buffet. We only found 3 friendly workers. Bad time to go as the people that live there could go to the resort and it seemed like they were number 1 priority as we had to wait for them to finish talking to each other before we got served. I myself would not go back to this Resort.

Just don’t

We packed up and changed resorts after two days. The Sunwing rep was amazing. Staff were not friendly. Crappy little paper cups (when they actually had them) somehow ran out of ice, Buffett food was poor even for Cuba. They were quick to shut it down and turn off the lights while you were still eating. Snack bar only had ham and cheese sandwiches and sometimes pizza even though there was a four page menu. Pay a little extra and stay elsewhere.

Beautiful beaches- Very good overall

The beaches are stunning, and the hotel was good value for the price. It exceeded expectations, although my expectations were in line for Cuba given various other trips. Premium upgrade was worth it as the room was updated and the bed and pillows seemed new. Overall, very pleased.

Great time at Memories Flamenco

Just came back June 28 from our one week vacation. Location from airport was great! Hotel grounds were clean and well maintained. Hotel staff were helpful and courteous. Pools were always clean, drinks were great and food..well, they did manage to do their best! A bit repetitive in buffet, but Italian a la carte was very tasty. Overall, great time at Flamenco!

Nice resort but food and drink shortages

Is a nice, well-kept resort but there are major food and drink shortages, including toilet paper. Our neighbours were at this resort for 2 weeks in Feb 2025 and they raved about it - no shortages. But when we were there last week, they were running out of everything. One day they wouldn’t have fries or burgers at the snack bar, the next no coffee after dinner at the buffet. The restaurants were not worth going to - no soy sauce at the Asian one. The mosquitoes were brutal - could not sit [... read more] outside early in the day or after dinner. You had to make a run for your room. They did start spraying with a crop duster mid week which helped a little. We will not be returning to Cuba.
