Okay, but expected more from a Bahia

Room was dated and it feel like it as well. Balcony door did not lock, luckily we were on the second floor. Shower was falling apart and the toilet was making weird sounds for a while after being flushed. Food was decent in the buffet. Breakfast and lunch was repetitive but dinner had some good options like lobster night etc. The lunch by the beach seems to be better than the one by the pool. Mixed drinks were a hit and miss. As for service, majority of the employees were good and attentive but there were a few that just ignored requests. Could be a language barrier but it would have been better if they just indicated they did not understand. The Beach was infested with seaweeds. They try to pick it with a tractor but it was hopeless. Not the fault of the hotel and the workers were doing their best to control it. Pools were good and enjoyable. A la carte - a couple good ones. The Brazilian and Mongolia were the best of the ones visited. Sushi and Indian not so much. Not a lot of good activities for kids. There were a few good shows like the magic snow and circus, but it started and 10pm. After a day at the pool, the kids were too tired to be up that late.

Good resort

It is good resort food beach activities show except reception guys which don't want to fix cold water in the sink in our room I'm ask them 3 times during our vacation and they still not fixed because only hot water coming any position and you can't do nothing water is very hot you have to step in bathtub to do your thing this is only one thing I don't like in this hotel all the rest it was perfect

Couldn’t wait to get home.

The hotel is very beautiful. Having said that, there were a number of significant issues that put a major damper on our trip. We had 8 people travelling with three room. Two of us got sick with breathing issues, one had to be hospitalized for over half the trip. We believe this was either due to the very strong chemical smell from the pool and cleaning, or the musty smell from the room (we found mold in one of the rooms). I also got electrocuted from an exposed wire in my room. The mus [... read more]ic was way too loud anywhere near the main pools or dining area, and was pretty much constant. It was overwhelming and difficult to have conversations. There were other things that were beyond the control of the hotel so I won’t outline them here, but I was not impressed.

Great All Inclusive Resort!!

Beautiful pools and very busy resort, especially at the beachside pool 4.5 star rating. Plenty of daily activities available for all ages. Dining options and food quality made to order is definitely 5 star rating. The buffets quality of food is all about timing! Extremely hot weather 35’C every day, bring plenty of sunscreen. Rooms could definitely use an update, especially the bathrooms 3 star rating. Very nice resort

We had good service. Great place for family. Transportation on the site was easy and always present, it is a big site. The personnel was very kind but many speaks only Spanish, the others speaks English, French and Spanish. Big room, big pool and a the beach is awesome and very long, with a restaurant and bar at the beach.

Horrible experience

During my stay I got food poisoning from their restaurants due to the food not being cooked properly and poor handling of the food by it not being cleaned and washed properly. I reported this 3 times to the front desk and guest services and was never compensated nor provided any medical attention or assistance. I was only given club soda and water that’s it. They took down my information but never filed it into the system. In addition to my poor experience we, as a young coloured couple were rac [... read more]ially discriminated due to our age and skin colour by given poor seating at the back of all the restaurants, poor service that the staff were acting obnoxious and rude and not respectful unlike the Caucasian elder people who came from European countries. I require compensation for the food poisoning that I obtained during my stay that I missed out over 4 days of vacation that I spent over $3000.

Superb resort for families

Amazing hotel for families with young children like ours. With two waterparks and great food and drinks you will all enjoy your stay. Great pools and nightly shows to top it all off as well. The only downside is sea weed at the beach.

Great resort for family

The grounds are well maintained. The main restaurant and the steak house serve a variety of delicious food. Service in the main restaurant is exceptionally good and the place is constantly being cleaned! My grandkids really enjoyed the beach, swimming pool, water parks, the mini golf and the magic show. Good price for a family vacation!

Good resort

Overall our stay in the resort was very good. Reading the reviews before made us question if this is a good stay. It turned out to be great! I recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing stay, worth the price.

Very good and nice resort

Grounds very nice and clean ,public areas clean ,rooms very nice & clean but bathrooms needs renovations,dining excellent -food fantastic.Staff- good. The review is for ; Esmeralda ! not for Turquesa. -PS. on arrival to Turquesa we change to Esmeralda only because of the beach,

Aweful beyond Words!!!

The worst thing in the word is trusting a company like Trip Central to provide you a last minute deal at a 5 star resort - Bahia Grand Principe -Turquesa. This hotel is a symbol of everything that is wrong in the world. Dirt, dirt and dirt toppled with a bunch of racist employees who refuse to speak English. Our vacation was nothing short of a nightmare. My husband is covered in bites. Day three of waking up to a blood stained sheets followed by some kind of insect droppings/shells, we went to c [... read more]omplain only to be told the staff didn’t understand. Oddly they knew that the only option was to upgrade for $90 US per night. Once we paid, the staff’s English kicked in enough to tell us we were going to finally get clean and better service. Everytime we wanted a drink we were either ignored or told we needed to pay for select liquor or beer. All in all we are home now and my husband is on antibiotics. At this point I am convinced that Trip Central is aware of this resort’s milicous attempt to force people to upgrade or live in filth for 7 days!

Absolute Garbage

Our party arrived on December 19,2023 and upon arrival check in was horrid. We were checked in without wrist bands and the staff was going to use a sharpe marker to change the bracelet colour. Here you seem so happy to see the menu that includes tacos,ice cream, chessy fries etc. However you can only oder a hotdog,hamburger,french fries and sometimes chicken nuggets and empanadas. After ordering everything on the menu the only time you could ingest the food is if you had been drinking otherwise it was not edible. We searched everynight for any souce of night life and nothing this resort is very quiet like ghost town at night probably because everyone is in their room vomiting from all the bad food that they ingested during the day this was or had come to our attention when we were in our room and we could hear people in the surrounding rooms vomiting we actually had to call the reception to do something about it. Even when eating at the restuarant people were vommiting it was disgusting. The beach is so far away and have shuttles that are labelled L1,L2,L2 etc however you could wait all day for one to shuttle you to the beach. When you do get to the beach there are a.selected few beach chairs if any. The staff made it seem like we were bothering them and on several occassions the staff were rude until you spole their language then the attitude shifted. Our group needed bug spray and it cost us $20 usd The only good entertainment is once a week on a thursday and you have to pay extra for it. The worst and most disgusting was having cochroaches in the buffet area and in and around the bar by the pool. The staff did not seem to care as people were videoing their disgust. I have travelled many times to punta cana and never had an experience like this one. Avoid at all costs . The cheaper is not always better In this case the more expensive your trip the less you get there..if you have a reservation please.rebook somewhere else you will thank me later .

Wonderful

Very clean and well maintained. Staff very friendly and helpful. We have been to several resorts and were very impressed with this one. There was always a wife variety of foods at the buffet.Would definitely return for another enjoyable vacation.

My stay at Bahia principe grand turquesa

I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone you have one pool on the site not allowed to visit any other resort ,the beach has so many people that it's impossible to go to and 15 minutes walk or the little bus to drive you, the food was good but always cold the show are repeated every 2 days and if you wanted to see the Dominican show you had to pay 25 us, and the guys for the suitcases and the entertainment asked for A BIG TIP wow first time I see this and I went to Punta Cana many times

Amazing resort

Excellent resort with great views, good food, and entertainment at the best price found by the best agent Jairus Maus. I would definitely recommend this resort to others and I would definitely come back again.

Wonderful vacation

The workers from all avenues of the Bahia Principe from grounds to the chef in the kitchens are fantastic! Always happy, singing while they work! Love going to this resort. Probably 18-20 years. If you are a walker you can walk to the beach and then four to six kilometres on the beach. Food is fabulous, name your drink and you will get it!

Best Resort Ever

30 hours into my trip I acquired an injury to my right ankle while dancing at the night club. NELSON was absolutely amazing at making sure I was okay on a daily basis until I left 5 days later. He even supplied the wheelchair at NO cost. The staff was genuinely caring. Koodos to the reception desk as well. Thanks VENENCIA FAUSTO! I’ve definitely done my share of travelling but will always go back as this is my favourite resort by far. Clean, tidy and very friendly atmosphere.

Not worth it.....

First of all, before I went I read the reviews and saw the same complaint, but I thought you just cant please everyone. We travelled march 21th to 28th. Two adults and one child 1 1/2 age old. When we arrived at the hotel, we were told that when our room is ready at 3pm, our luggage will be dropped off at our room. At 3:47pm I had to go to the front desk, and that's when they called someone to drop it off. The room that we were assigned to was so bad. The room was very outdated. The tv channel [... read more]s was not working properly. The beds were so hard like a board, and every time you sit or lie down the spring of the bed makes noise as if the bed is falling apart. The room had a moldy smell, and Lots of dust bunny. We called the front desk to complain and they told us that they're no rooms available until tomorrow at 3pm. Which is March 22nd. They transfer us to another room at villa 48. The other room was alot better but there was cock roaches inside. I noticed the first one on March 24th. We didn't fuss because it was only one. On March 26 we start seeing more, and at that point we got fed up. I just want to fly back to Toronto. The food selection was the same every day and we are talking about breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food was cold. When you get tea or hot coco the water is warm not hot. We will never go back to this resort / hotel even if the trip is free.

Beautiful and friendly resort!

The grounds were immaculate, the never stop working on them. The staff was friendly everywhere we went. The rooms were clean and the food was extremely good. All in all it was a wonderful and very relaxing holiday. We would definitely go back.

Nice Resort Too Many Kids!

We got to the Hotel really late on Saturday. We have been to Punta Cana four times and Bahia two years in a row. Turquesa was nice , grounds were gorgeous, room was dated but nice. Pool was nice as well but way too many kids splashing and jumping in the pool. Kids whining and parents just letting their kids do what they want. Buffet was average at best. Entertainment at this resort absolutely sucks! Stupid little games and boring. Beautiful beach but a lot of undertow watch! Better get up at 7 am just to get a chair at the beach. Overall the weather was great, food in my opinion below average and a lot of rude people especially at the buffet. Only staying at an Adults only Resort next time. I have had it with parents just letting their kids run all over the place.
