Azul Beach Resort Negril: Good family vacation with exceptions
We stayed in the premium room which was newly renovated but some of the furniture was broken. Beds are not the most comfortable and creeks but this didn’t trouble us much. Most of the staff are friendly .. going above and beyond, with the exception of two or three staff members mostly managing the grilled meats/ pasta station at the main buffet. Beach is lovely and bar tenders are friendly and accommodating. Room service was fine but there were a few days where the supplies were not replenished,[... read more] but we called reception and had this resolved. The resort seems short staffed so probably something that Karisma needs to address!! They encourage you to use the app for checking restaurant times but the app information is not accurate. This was a little frustrating and even more so since a manager never called us back to address this situation. Staff also gave us inaccurate restaurant information. The food at the Asian and Caribbean restaurant wasn’t the greatest but we loved the Italian restaurant.
With a little more attention to detail, additional staffing and some upgrades this resort has the potential to provide a 5 star experience

Azul Beach Resort Negril: Great resort, amazing beach!
We just returned from our stay at Azul Beach Resort. The staff were truly amazing and very friendly! The beach of coarse was so beautiful. One of the best I have been to!
Because we went off season, there was only 1 buffet open. The food was not bad (if food is more important than beach, then this may not be for you)
The rooms were clean and spacious and the bed so comfy.
The pools weren't overly big, but always clean and most with a swim up bar.
The only thing that I wasn't a fan of was tha[... read more]t there were steps (just one) everywhere. It would be easy to take a fall if you weren't paying attention. Other than that, I would definitely go back.
I am not one to go looking for perfection when travelling to another country. If you go looking for issues, then you will find them.
We had an amazing time while we were there and can't wait to go back!!

Margaritaville Island Reserve Riviera Maya: Absolutely Disappointed
Prior to departure, I became aware through online reports that the hotel’s main pool might be closed for renovations. I contacted Tripcentral, the agency through which we booked, and they reached out to Air Canada Vacations and the hotel directly. We were advised there were no notices or advisories regarding any pool closures and were reassured there would be no issues affecting our stay.
Unfortunately, upon arrival, we discovered the hotel’s main pool was completely closed and under active r[... read more]epair. It resembled a construction zone or skateboard park rather than a functioning resort amenity. This was a significant issue because this property does not have a swimmable beach, making the pools one of the primary reasons guests choose this resort. Had we been properly informed prior to departure, we would have changed resorts or reconsidered travelling altogether.
In addition to the pool closure, the resort experience was far below what would reasonably be expected from a 4.5 to 5-star all-inclusive property:
* The resort appeared to be operating at less than 25% occupancy.
* Restaurants were frequently closed, sometimes leaving only the buffet available.
* The LandShark restaurant was closed every evening during our stay.
* Entertainment was minimal or nonexistent despite advertised activities and events.
* Promised activities such as a pickleball tournament and silent dance party never occurred.
* The Mexican night entertainment was extremely underwhelming.
* Bars ran out of basic products, including Smirnoff vodka.
* Lounge beds near the pool remained blocked off as “reserved” despite sitting empty for entire days, while staff enforced policies preventing guests from reserving chairs.
* Restaurant reservations were allegedly “full,” yet the restaurants themselves were nearly empty, clearly indicating staffing limitations rather than capacity issues.
* Service throughout the resort was consistently inadequate due to apparent understaffing.
Additionally, one day a guest vomited in the SOS pool, resulting in the closure of that pool as well as the connected swim-out areas for chemical treatment. This left both the SOS pool and the 5 O’Clock Somewhere main pool unavailable at the same time, severely limiting access to essential resort amenities.
Our return airport transfer experience was also unacceptable. We were picked up without any Air Canada Vacations representative or greeter. The driver did not appear to know where we were going and stopped at another hotel to wait approximately 30 minutes for a no-show passenger while we remained in the vehicle.
Overall, this vacation experience did not remotely reflect the premium five-star all-inclusive product we paid for. We paid full price for a resort experience that was clearly compromised due to renovations, closures, low occupancy, reduced staffing, and lack of services.
We wanted peace on the island we said I do Jamaica. This resort is just that calm peaceful and food good don’t listen to people. it’s not 5 start but 4 I’d say. Freshing up needed in rooms some fresh paint and new bedding some pictures and it would be five star. People are kind helpful and fun. They truly work hard and it shows they care about guest who stay here.
Loved our vacation and would return to the Azul.
One thing it has not best entertainment at this place.

Azul Beach Resort Negril: underwhelming...
Overall, this resort delivers a decent all-inclusive experience, but it falls short in a few areas that are hard to ignore given the location.
The beach is absolutely the highlight—wide, clean, and exactly what you’d hope for. It really lives up to expectations and is easily the best part of the stay. The rooms, on the other hand, are just okay. They’re functional and reasonably comfortable, but nothing stands out or feels particularly updated. Our room was fine but spoke to a lot of people the[... read more]re who complained about no hot water.
Food was inconsistent. Some meals were enjoyable, but others missed the mark. The most reliable option ended up being the Mahogany buffet at the far end of the resort, where there always seemed to be something decent available and the fireside grill for lunch. Dining elsewhere felt more like a gamble.
Entertainment was underwhelming and didn’t add much to the overall experience. It lacked energy and variety, which made evenings feel a bit dull. The Moulin Rouge and Michael Jackson shows were the only real entertainment during the week with the rest being mostly just a DJ.
That said, the staff truly stood out and made a positive difference throughout the stay. Everyone was friendly and attentive, but a special mention goes to Safari & Rashika at the main bar, Kevon from the concierge team, Travis on the beach, and Anna Kay at the coffee bar, who all went above and beyond to make guests feel welcome.
One of the bigger issues was the overall maintenance of the property. For a resort in such a prime location, it really should be in better condition. The resort’s decking had several broken and loose boards that created trip hazards and require attention. It appears the decking issues are not caused by the hurricane but by lack of upkeep and repair.
In the end, if you’re not particularly picky or high-maintenance, you’ll probably have a fine time here, especially if your main goal is to enjoy the beach. But given the location and price, there’s a lot of room for improvement.

Azul Beach Resort Negril: Not A Luxury Resort
Let me first start off saying that this is NOT a luxury resort. It is a 3.5 star resort at best. The staff on hand are actually very friendly and accommodating. The beach is fantastic. You can’t go wrong in Negril on Seven Mile Beach.
The pools are small and the decking throughout the resort needs serious repair with a lot of trip hazards. I want to be clear. The deck issues are not due to the hurricane. The deck issues are due to poor maintenance on the resorts part. The food was subpar at[... read more] best. The only food that was consistently decent was the buffet at Mahogany, and the Oceanside Grill.
We paid extra to be in a swim up room in one of the Adult blocks of the hotel. We were placed in the family block. The only time there was a possibility to change rooms was with 3 days left in our vacation. At that point we did not want to pack up, go to a different block to unpack and pack again in 3 days time to leave.
The entertainment was just ok. The Moulin Rouge and Micheal Jackson shows were good, but the rest of the nightly entertainment consisted of pretty much a DJ. Bars close at 10 with the Nesta Rasta lounge staying open until 1 am.
Negril, its beaches and its people are amazing. We will definitely go back, but we will never go to the Azul again, and we will never recommend it to anyone.
While all the staff were friendly, there are certain staff members who should be singled out. Safari at the main bar is the best bartender at the resort. There was also Rushika who was fantastic at the main bar as well. Kevon in the concierge staff went above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable. Anna Kay at the coffee bar and Oceanside grill always had a smile on her face, and Travis, the beach “butler” was always quick to get you drinks and very friendly.
We also enjoyed the off resort excursion with Captain Sheldon Hines. He’s extremely friendly and knowledgeable on the Island’s history.
All in all, there are a lot of resorts to choose from on one of the best beaches in the world. Azul needs to up their game if they want to be considered as a luxury destination. For the cost to stay at this resort, it is not worth the price you pay.

Nickelodeon Hotel Punta Cana: Expensive
Resort is clean and nice but some activities are not included and should pay in high price. And less activity to compare to other high level resorts in Punta Cana. Personally never back to it
Not worth with 2 kids to spend a lot

Nickelodeon Hotel Punta Cana: Overprice for what it is
The resort was okay. We selected Nick Punta Cana because of their autism double check program. We brought our 2 autistic kids. There was no program and they offered no help. Our concierge was there only to make sure we attended a 2h time share presentation. The activities for the kids with characters were not autism friendly and cost hundred of dollars extra. The water park was for toddlers. If you kids are over 5 I would not recommend going. If you kids are autistic, I would not recommend going[... read more].
That said. The staff (house keeping, bartending, waiters) were all wonderful and friendly. The food was okay. It was a little hard to get food into our autistic kids. The options for them were slim. The pool was great. The bartenders fantastic. I know I said that already but its worth mentioning. I would get an alcoholic drink for me and the kids would order virgin drinks. The bartenders were very nice and helpful for the kids.
I think we would have been better suited to save money and skip the themed Nick resort for a non-themed regular resort in Punta Cana.

Nickelodeon Hotel Punta Cana: I dont think I will be back at this resort
The service was a hit and miss. We had to call almost daily to get our room refreshed. We also had to call every day to have the mini bar refilled with water. When we first arrived, the door did not unlock and it took about 45 minutes for them to fix it. Once we got into our room, someone had left the patio door open, and it was super hot. They also had not filled the mini bar before we entered our room. We landed late and this was all at 11 PM. We were absolutely exhausted. It also took us two [... read more]days to get a hairdryer in our room. The reservation system on their app stopped working the day we got there. We weren’t aware of it so we asked a concierge for help. It’s as if we were inconveniencing them. Then they changed everything and it was on a first come first serve. It was a complete disaster. I will say that there are some staff that try really hard and then there’s other staff that make you feel like you aren’t inconveniencing them and they hate their job. My eight-year-old daughter had a blast and didn’t notice anything which is what was important.

Margaritaville Island Reserve Riviera Maya: Great resort
This hotel was clean, rooms were all centrally located. Food was amazing. Service was great, both in restaurants and pool side and front desk and concierge.
Only downfall for some is there is no beach. We are pool people, so knew this when choosing this resort. Lots of areas to sit and get a lounge chair.

Nickelodeon Hotel Punta Cana: Great Resort!
This was our second visit to Nickelodeon. Travelling with 2 children under 5 the resort is so beautiful and tons to do to keep our kids occupied. The food was great, beach is also amazing (big waves but sandy and huge!)
We love that there are tons of families with small children some who are not always happy at the dinner table (like ours) so you don’t feel like you’re upsetting or disrupting because the majority are either experiencing the occasional meltdown too or have been there before!
[... read more]The resort is a good size but not too big everything’s within walking distance (even for little feet)
We will definitely return for a 3rd visit

Margaritaville Island Reserve Riviera Maya: Margaritaville never disappoints!
Our second time going to a Margaritaville and they always impress. Every detail is taken care of, and the theming is top notch. Great food, incredible staff, and the place is spotless and smells fantastic! Can't wait to go back!! Other than the beach being destroyed by a hurricane the place is perfect.

Margaritaville Island Reserve Riviera Maya: Nice resort, but no beach!
Overall the resort is very nice, rooms are clean and modern. Almost all rooms will have a partial ocean view with the rooms either facing the sunrise or sunset. The food is decent - the breakfast buffet left a little bit to be desired, much few options then other resorts with things like bacon being behind the counter being limited by the egg chef. The Landshark brewery being onsite is a nice touch, the lunches were excellent as was the draught beer. The pool area was very nice, with the ser[... read more]vice around the pool being one of the best I've had - wait staff were very attentive. No cards required for pool towels and you could take as many as you'd like. Entertainment was daily - there are many options to either be in the party atmosphere or within a more tranquil spot as the pool area is expansive. There is currently no beach, and the ocean water is currently a black sludge - we aren't big beach people so it didn't bother us, but were heard many folks from Europe complaining as they were unaware that there was no beach at the resort. With so many options I would be hard pressed to go back again until the beach situation is sorted.

Margaritaville Island Reserve Riviera Maya: No Beach
This is a well run resort. Staff were excellent, and food was amazing. The onsite upscale coffee shop was a favourite. The photo for this hotel is not accurate. There is literally NO beach. There is a sister Margarittaville hotel a few minutes away. I would suggest to the owners to offer , for a small fee, a beach pass to this hotel for a day. Unlike most all-inclusive resorts, there is no nightly show on a main stage area. The few shows that were available were at ground level inside the main b[... read more]uffet restaurant. If you want a hotel that is relatively quiet day and night, this is a good choice.

Nickelodeon Hotel Punta Cana: Great vacation!
The kids loved this place! The food was good! Resort wasn’t too busy. One downside is that if you want to have breakfast with the characters there was a charge and also if you wanted to get slimed. Kids shows were pretty lame to be honest. Some days we didn’t have a show they just played Dora in the theatre. Adult show was at 8:45pm. Overall the kids had an amazing time here.

Nickelodeon Hotel Punta Cana: Disappointed - Not a Five-Star Experience
I recently stayed at Nicoleadian Resort with my family, and I regret to say that the experience was incredibly disappointing. The food was poor and repetitive; it was the same thing day after day with no variation. My daughter ended up getting food poisoning, which was absolutely alarming and ruined our stay.
When we checked in, the room was not clean. The floors were wet, and it was clear the room hadn’t been properly prepared for guests. We had to request a room change, which was a hassle a[... read more]nd added to the frustration. The overall service was lacking—staff were unresponsive, and we had to follow up multiple times for basic needs.
To make matters worse, I have a video of a snake in the pool area, which is beyond concerning, especially at a so-called "luxury" resort.

Margaritaville Island Reserve Riviera Cancun: Pros & Cons
Martine Reid
No beach but an abundance of beautiful pools.
The only con: one worth noting-is the lack of a diversified menu.
There were several restaurants, but the selection was limited. The food wasn’t bad, except for the Italian food.
The pros are many: Excellent staff, exceptionally clean and modern rooms.
If food is not your prime concern, this is a worthwhile space.
