AWESOME RESORT

This resort is perfect for couples. It’s adults only. We had a weeklong getaway there and just had an awesome time. The place is super spotless clean they are constantly cleaning and shining and just always on top of everything that way the food was awesome. The buffet was in my eyes probably better than any buffet I’ve ever been to on a cruise ship and they have 5 specialty restaurants and you did not need reservations for any of them. The only thi [... read more]ng is we go to bed pretty early at night and our room was a little too close to the stage area where the shows happen at night but by 10:30 in the evening they were usually all done and it was quiet, so my suggestion would be if you’d like to go to bed early get a room far away from the stage. We just got out of there in time as the spring breakers were starting to come in lots of them at the Santa Fe

A very relaxing getaway

We had a wonderful time! Food was very good, no issues finding seating at the buffet. Poolside chairs and finding shade was abundant. I wish pool chairs were padded for more comfort. Rooms were one of the best we’ve had, recently renovated. Karla and Javier were some of the nicest hotel staff we’ve ever encountered! Lovely Resort

The food was excellent, the resort was always clean. The pools are large, and the resort is right on the beach. The rooms are very modern. The coffee bar in the morning was very handy! There was no issues getting into the Restaurants in the evening. - Great Selection

Just what we needed!

The only downfall of the resort for us was having to go to the family resort next door for activities. We chose adults only and it was promoted that there were white nights, jungle nights etc which we expected to be at our location. Other than that food was fabulous, Sofia (Italian) and Krystal (fusion) were the fave spots for dinner! Staff were great, resort was very clean and we felt very safe in all local areas. Would highly recommend and would definitly return!

Awesome Resort

The resort is super clean and the grounds manicured beautifully. I would recommend this resort and would go back in a second. Some restaurants are better than others but you can always find great choices at the buffet The rooms are super clean (mattress was in need of replacing) The staff is outstanding and always friendly Dress code should be enforced in the restaurants a couple of knuckleheads wearing muscle shirts was not acceptable. An Awesome Resort!

The Riu Palace Baja California was absolutely wonderful. The grounds are very well kept, the staff were friendly & the resort is very clean. The rooms are big, the bed was comfortable, the fridge was very well stocked & you have a good supply of alcohol in each room. We had a partial view of the ocean which was worth the upgrade to us. Every morning we had the Best coffee’s ,a great way to start our day. There’s plenty of activities on this resort at the pool side. If you are wanting some wild night entertainment, walk to the other resort. They are all connected & it’s included in your fee. We walked to town a few times & never had any concerns about our safety. Yes people want to sell you things, but if you say no thank you, they walk away. It was a wonderful adults only resort & we highly recommend it!

The variety of a la carte restaurants made the dining experience each evening so much fun. The gym had a good set-up of equipment and we loved the fitness games and activities offered throughout the day. The entertainment was really good but we did get confused as to which stage the special shows were offered on between the 2 Riu resorts. We found [... read more] the service to be totally amazing -very responsive and willing to go that extra mile to help out. For example, my mom left her special shawl at one restaurant on our last evening. When she called the hotel 2 days later, they found the shawl and it was returned to us. Excellent customer service.

Amazing time in Cabo!

The staff was amazing, especially Fernando at the Gold Bar, and Emmanuel and Itzel at the buffet. The Asian and Mexican restaurants, and the buffet were excellent… housekeeping staff did a great job, everyone was so friendly. The guest room showers could’ve been hotter, but the bathtub water was piping hot so maybe just an issue in our room.

Great resort , we will be back!

The hotel is beautiful, the grounds are immaculate and the pools are really well maintained. The staff are lovely and the service was always fantastic. The room was great and the bed was comfortable as well. The buffet was great and having the lunch spot at the pool was very convenient! We tried few of the the a la carte restaurants as well and we liked them. We would definitely go back !

Amazing Resort

Clean, very modern, easy to navigate to find places, great party events (at the next building), excellent food/service. Ample of beach chairs all around. Could not swim in the ocean, so the beach was not utilized. Beautiful view of the Arch of Cabo San Lucas. So close to go into the town for evening entertainment using UBER. Entertainment was okay at this location. Have to go into the town for real entertainment. Bar services was okay depending on the server.

Amazing View

The grounds were beautifully kept. The larger pools were cold but the swim up pools were warm. The staff were very attentive and welcoming at the restaurants and bars. The restaurants could have been better quality and the labelling of food on the buffets could have been better. The food on the hot buffet was not hot. The rooms were modern, clean and large. The balcony was large enough to have a mini clothes rack and table and two chairs - a great way to start and end the day -

Riu Baja California

Nice hotel. Food and drinks were good. Lack of security at the beach access. Vendors crossed over the rope and bothered us constantly. Lots of theft either from vendors or passersby. Cell phones, shoes. The hotel management didn’t seem to care too much. Also, absolutely no drink service on the beach, even if you wanted to tip. Seemed to concentrate on the pool area. Smoking pits were offered but lots of people smoking wherever and nobody did anything about it. It’s the 2nd time to this resort.  [... read more]Probably the last. Will stay at the palace next time. Too costly for what you get.

Amazing resort

Excellent resort, very clean, food was excellent. Service was great. Had a problem with our safe twice. They took care of right away. Would go to this resort again. Weather was awesome, a little windy at night and cool. Put it this the desert.

Beautiful Resort

The hotel was exceptional. Choice of food was also fantastic. The room was very roomy and clean with a very large and comfortable bed. The servers in the restaurants and buffet areas were excellent.i would highly recommend this location and a short cab ride into town to Cabo Wabo was well worth it.

Beautiful Resort

Rooms were very modern, contemporary and clean. The cleaning staff were awesome, in fact all staff were 'on it' ... in the restaurants, at the front desk, bars, drink carts/bartenders at the pools, etc. A very well kept resort. The food was excellent and if you went to dinner from 5:30 to 7:00 you were not in line since reservations are not needed. The buffet was also a great option. The view is stunning of the 'arch' mountain range but you do need to actually take a water taxi (or tour boat) to see the actual 'hole'. We didn't do any excursions because they were very expensive. The package price is also very expensive but I could see why with the 'high end' area and all the work the staff does. All in all, a great trip and would highly recommend.

Excellent choice

This IS A 5 * Hotel!! I like RIU chain but Palace Baja California in Cabo is truly amazing!!! adults only choice! The service on every level is exceptional! I’m a definitely a supporter of this RIU location. Everyone did amazing work making sure our vacation is enjoyable and relaxing, We miss you guys already. Awesome trip

Had nothing to complain about about the resort. Hotel was always super clean in and out. Food was good specially the restaurants. 100% will be going back............. .............,.................

Fun place to stay

Beautiful view that we never got tired of. Great service and food. Good drinks. The rooms were spacious and clean. Lots of great people to meet. Super nice staff who took great care of us. Easy walk to town.

The hotel was not up to RUI standards

The room was clean, but the furniture was very tired, the couch was well worn and should have been replaced, the mattress sagged. The furniture around the deck was also very tired and well worn. The lounges had torn fabric, the metal frame was dirty and in need of paint. The food was bland - all the food at the buffet was tasteless! It didn’t matter what we tried it was bland. Restaurants Krystal and Guacamole were fantastic, both in terms of presentation and taste.
