Absolutely amazing resort

This hotel is unbelievable, me and my husband just got back and are already talking about booking again. The staff are so friendly and accommodating but we want to.send a special thank you out to our butler's Stef and Luis who went above and beyond for us. Our swimup bartender Luis who knew we needed another drink before we even asked and our sweet inside waitress Ava who always made us feel so special and put a huge smile on our face. Oh and we can't forget Marco Polo our favorite entertainmen [... read more]t guy. The rooms are so beautiful and clean, the whole property was so beautiful and easy to get around. We absolutely lived the fact that the beach was right next to the pools. Oh and the food was phenomenal, I can not say enough to praise this resort. If you are thinking about going do it, you will not be disappointed. If you like a resort that has an upbeat atmosphere. Or if you're looking for a quiet spot, this resort has it all.

Had a decent realxing time

We had a pretty decent time at this hotel. It was very relaxing and the service was great. Although, we did feel that there could have been more activities planned during the day time, maybe we went on weekdays, sometime the whole vibe was dull. Food and drinks were okay, nothing super fancy. Very minimal options for protein if you are vegetarian.

Great Stay

We were here for only for four nights. The hotel was fantastic, the food was great and overall experience met all expectations for a five star hotel. The buffet and staff there was the stand out as well as the coffee shop in second place. Things that were annoying: the water pressure wasn’t amazing and the hot water had a slight sulphur smell, but maybe that’s a Cancun thing. The lights in the room needed a PhD to figure out. The bar tenders seemed overworked and a bit grumpy

Perfect!

This hotel was wonderful. We had a great room looking on to the entertainment provides, which there was something every night. The food was good no matter where you chose to eat in the hotel. Staff was helpful and kind. Weather was fantastic!

Lovely and Lively Hotel.

The hotel is very elegant and has a great location which is close to shopping and also the bus stop. I enjoyed the gym and restaurants, especially the buffet. They also have a coffee shop that I visited almost daily. This is a busy, lively hotel that appeals to all ages (adults). I had a great time!

Royalton CHIC Cancun

The hotel's employee are very friendly and warm hearted. The facilities in hotel are also good. The foods are generally good, salad, fruit and seafood in buffet restaurant are very fresh, but lack of varieties.

Partyish Resort!

I visited solo for my birthday and It was perfect for being solo. Pros: easy checkin, multiple resturant options, buffet always available, spacious rooms, amazing staff, various bars, rooftop accessible for non premium members alcohol at charge, dj club vibes at night on the 3rd floor, beach front access Cons: reservations required for the resturants, one pool on main level for non premium members, music was very outdated, activities offered could be more creative -one night it was bingo  [... read more]lol, beach was beautiful but the current was strong

Great Resort!

We stayed at Royalton CHIC Cancun over the New Year’s holiday and had an overall very positive experience. The hotel was kept extremely clean, and the entire property had a signature essential oil scent. While it was pleasant in some areas, it could be a bit overpowering in others. The beach was a standout — pristine, well-maintained, and one of the cleanest resort beaches we’ve experienced. The pool and beach servers were excellent and very attentive; we received great service every single d [... read more]ay, which really elevated our stay. Elevators were unfortunately a bit of a pain. One elevator was down for our entire stay, which led to longer wait times, especially during busy hours. Room service was quick and convenient, though the night menu could use a bit more variety. We had a great time ringing in the New Year at the rooftop event (additional cost), which was fun and well-organized. While many reviews describe this as a party resort, we felt the daytime pool atmosphere could have benefited from better music to match that reputation. The à la carte restaurants were decent but nothing particularly memorable. That said, we really appreciated how accommodating they were in seating our group of six, which isn’t always easy during a busy holiday week. Overall, Royalton CHIC Cancun is a clean, lively resort in a fantastic location with excellent beach and pool service. With a few improvements, it could easily be a 5-star experience, but we would still recommend it for a fun New Year’s getaway.

Do not be fooled by the name, this is not close to a 5 Star teaort

Where do you start, after traveling all day and then waiting at the airport for over 1 hr for Nexus to take us to our hotel, once we finally got there, we checked in and was told that the 2nd part of the check in was to meet a rep with a pink Royalton shirt on, it ended up being a Salerep from Royalton trying to up-sale us, finally I said, we are tired and just want to go to our room. Once in our room, we were surprised how worn it was, we had the Sunset view which is a parking lot and a torn  [... read more]building to look at. I leaned on the balcony rail to only find out that it was not safe. When I checked to see why, I noticed it was not screwed in at all to the wall . Elevators are very slow, so leave plenty of time to get somewhere . Ok, I went to use the internet only to find out that they spelled my name wrong so I could not get into the Wi-Fi unless I used the wrong spelling, after numerous visit to the check in, they told me I would have to see their IT dept, long story short, after 4 days of our holidays, they finally change it. Now, there is really only one main pool and by 10am the 20 and 30 year olds are at the swim up bar, and not leaving for most of the day, so we found the water was spelling by mid afternoon. We did go on the top floor for a look, but just witness more partying and 70’s disco music blaring. Ok, on the plus side, the Beach is amazing, the staff works hard, but they seem to be short staffed , the food was reasonable, but not great for a 5 Star rating. You have to download the app in order to reserve you dinner and I suggest first thing in the morning to make your reservation , also, you cannot book more then 2 reservations, also the menu is a QR Code that you have to put on your phone, so if you are not good with modern technology, you might get frustrated. Room service is not everyday and they do not automatically put refreshments in your fridge or leave you coffee, you have to phone down for them to bring it up separately . Conclusion, if you are younger and looking for a all day party 7 days in a row with good weather and an amazing beach, The Royalton Chic Cancún will meed your needs, But if you are looking for a slower pace and maybe over 50, this might not be what you are looking for. We would rate this Hotel a 3.5 and that’s also after talking to other couples who where in the Diamond club and those that where not, no one give the hotel a 5 Star and we all agreed on 3.5.

Well maintenant resort

Beautiful resort but the only problem was they need money in every single for the night party at the resort u have to chairs and bottle to watch the party and also every single alcohol shot u have to buy

Good ? time

Our 2nd visit here both for 2 weeks.nice resort but it caters to people under 40 yrs old.the swimming pools are very small.the restaurants and buffet are adequate not as good as in 2020. The lunch and breakfast buffet is great .the dinner buffet is adequate. Not a.large selection of seafood or meats in the dinner buffet. But 3 good restaurants .The italian and the steakhouse and sky restaurant are very good. 4 star out of 5..the staff and bartenders are and cleaning staff are wonderful. Royalton Chic Cancun

This was a lovely resort. Food was good. Lots of fresh options. I liked the buffet better than the a la cart restaurants. Although they were pretty good. I've traveled many times to Mexico, 21 to be exact. This resort by far had the cleanest public washrooms I've ever experienced. Loved they had an abundance of beach towels, no towel card required and could take as many as you wanted. The life guard Kevin was by far the best , always watching. There is a good riptide at times. Only thing about rooms I didn't like was the door on the water closet. It was glass. Some frosted some not so frosted. You could see the person on the toilet and hear everything. Huge lack of privacy. We were there for 14 days. The first week was Spring break and we could still get a good beach chair at 8:30am. The second week was middle aged + everyone was up by 6am saving beach chairs. Great little coffee shop with amazing cappuccino. Really enjoyed our stay.

Some good some not so much!!

Food was excellent! Staff was amazing! No shade and we were not allowed to use the umbrellas. Beach is very aggressive red flag daily. Pool is way too crowded. Do not like segregation of Diamond club guests. Reservations were easy to get while using the app. Overall enjoyed our stay but definitely geared to younger crowd!

Great Party Resort!

7 days of Paradise

My time at the Royalton CHIC Cancun was truly exceptional—a memorable experience that exceeded my expectations. I was thoroughly impressed by every aspect of the resort. The hotel’s layout and design, the spaciousness of the rooms, the diverse culinary offerings from the various restaurants, the exemplary customer service, housekeeping, and breathtaking beach views all contributed to an outstanding stay. I’ve had the privilege of visiting three other Royalton properties: CHIC in Punta Cana, R [... read more]oyalton Hideaway in Montego Bay, and Royalton in Cuba. However, Royalton CHIC Cancun stands out as the best among them. When booking, I sought a resort close to the airport that offered a vibrant atmosphere with opportunities for relaxation without being far from the action. Royalton CHIC Cancun perfectly met these criteria. Thank you, Royalton, for such a wonderful experience. One suggestion that would have further enhanced my stay is the room service menu, particularly for lunch and dinner. It would be great to have the option to order from one of the resort’s restaurants or perhaps the buffet. While I wouldn’t expect the full menu, offering one or two items from a selected restaurant each day would be a significant enhancement. Thank you, Royalton.

Magnifique resort & staff

Everything is excellent with diamond service. The beach, the pools and the staff are really exceptional!!! The food is good but seen better in other resort we’ve been. The night entertainment is poor but ok. We probably book again at that resort, we really loved it ?

Beautiful resort

The resort itself was lovely. Staff were amazing Unfortunately it’s definitely a party resort. Being adult only we did expect some party’s. But it was pretty much all day and night. Rooms were pretty quiet so if you like to stay in your room a lot you will be ok. Pool parties every day all day long. Some days were ok

Great resort!

This resort was amazing! The rooms and building itself were very nice and clean. The entertainment was fun and the food was amazing. The best part of the resort had to be the gorgeous beach. Also the location was great, close to convenience stores and other restaurant and bars/clubs only a 5 minute walk away. The airport is also only a 15 minute drive. The staff was very friendly and they go out of their way to help you.

The resort is close to the airport, exceptionally clean and the service is amazing. The beach is beautiful with lots of chairs and shade if you want it. The servers at the beach are awesome. It is nice not having to go to the bar. A lifeguard is on duty and keeps a close eye on the swimmers. The grounds are well kept. The pool is great. The games and the activities around the pool in the afternoon are fun and very entertaining. The entertainment staff are amazing. The foam party is a lot of fun. The rooms are large and clean with a balcony which is nice. Includes a mini-fridge. The shower is large with a rainfall showerhead which is a nice touch. There are a number of restaurants to choose from. The buffet is great for breakfast and lunch. Lots of selection and the quality is very good. The oriental restaurant is amazing. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The steak house was good as well. The Italian restaurant wasn't great. No one liked their pasta dishes, but the salad bar and bread were good. The grill by the pool was delicious and the take-out pizza was good as well. The coffee shop was great for snacks and the coffee was amazing. The elevators are slow during busy times. I would definitely go back. Great vacation with my girlfriends!
