Great resort

Beautiful resort. Great staff The beach is awesome. Highly recommend this resort to anyone going to cuba the Asian restaurant is excellent as well as the international Could use a little more music on the beach during the day. But overall lovely place to visit.

Awesome resort and service

Our second time at this resort and not disappointed. Beautiful facilities, rooms, pools, restaurants and beach. Can't say enough about the staff. Everyone from the bar, grounds, restaurants, reception, cleaners were so friendly. The food was very good too! Much better than is typically rumored for Cuba. We're hoping to return again before the end of this year and would definitely recommend.

Amazing

We did the vip section was amazing great service and food was great no complaints at all also the concierge service was over and above when you needed anything at all very relaxing in areas and if you need a little more energy there was areas for that as well

Incredible resort!

PROS: The rooms were beautiful, modern and very clean! The staff overall were exceptional - friendly and helpful! Both the beach and pool were stunning! Overall the food was very good, but the Indian and Japanese restaurants were EXCEPTIONAL! CONS: Customer service and guest service departments transferred us back and forth when we were looking for supplies at times (water, toilet paper, etc). It would make more sense to have one department that cares for the combined workload

Resort is very good, we will try to be back.Ocean and beach Beatiful! Hotel and rooms - modern, clean, condition works!!! Quite! This resort would be good choice for wintertime (January/feb) Service is good- a lot of workers and many of them do perfect job. Food- you would not be hungry , and all tourists know about shortages, but.. we stayed at Melia Paradisus Rio de Oro many times and was much better choices of food and cooked with love. But- I would think which company to choose for transportation- west jet (((( we were there on thanksgiving weekend, and flight back to Toronto was cancelled due to broken plane. All passengers were left in Holguín aero port for almost 4 hours without no information / no info updates , no water provided to us. Then they transferred us back to resort( Thank you for that! Gave us rooms food beach for extra day!!! West jet send empty rescue plane to pick up174 passengers!!! Great! But not provided food and hot water , no flushing water in the toilet???? How??? And Two pilots from broken Saturday flight didn’t get opportunity to have Seats to fly home!!! Now I understand why air Canada were on strike this summer.

Wonderful hotel

Everything thing in value is presenting itself own unique ? sparkle like ? special in one roof all services provided. Most of stuff understanding English. Landscaping around building in plain square shaped yard looks beautiful in good taken care.

Great vacation

The resort was very clean and fresh. The buffet was good a few too many flies when eating. The grounds were very well maintained, the walking areas were clean, no garbage laying around. The lobby was always exceptional clean.

Grand muthu Almirente beach

Perfect service the people are amazing the room are very clean The food a little not enough but with price that I bought the resort it is ok The beach is really good The restaurent are good The guest service they are very kind the manager Mr raul is very active man

The VIP section was amazing.

The VIP section was amazing. Rooms where very cozy. Lovely cleaning staff. The beach where the locals go had a lot of rubbish around. This is a HUGE hotell, if you want a great selection of food at the large buffet, go early. So much waste from the vacationers.Take only what you eat. Too many people for me. I will not return, BUT I would recommend it to families. So much for kids to do.

Beautiful Resort

Grounds were well maintained and clean. Rooms, restaurants, restrooms hotel all were clean and well maintained as well. The only negative thing I would have to say is at the beach on the weekends the locals come, which as they should joy the beautiful beach, but they leave all their beer cans bottles all over the beach and in the water.

Disappointing!

When we arrived, our roomhad not been cleaned. There were stains on the lounging chair, the shower and sink had soap stains. The door to the room was coming undone. The handles in the bathroom were coming off. The linens did not smell fresh. No kleenex. There was a lot of garbage, beer cans on the roof outside our bedroom. Not enough barbage cans on the site. The locals beach next to the resort beach left their garbage in the water!

Great Resort!

The Holguin airport needs some loving. On departure, the power went out 3 times. Not sure if it's the city trying to save on electricity. The same happen at our resort. Luckily the power came back on very quickly. The check-in was done very quickly and we were given a room with an ocean view on the 6 floor. That was amazing. As for the main buffet (breakfast, lunch and dinner), 95% the same thing everyday and the quality not that great compared to resorts in Mexico. The restaurants were all great except for the international which was not really international. Lol The resorts says it's a 5 star but I would rate it at 4.6 which is still pretty good for Cuba.

Amazing Resort

This resort was fantastic! I had lower to moderate expectations but it surpassed my expectations! The resort is easy to navigate through. The ocean is 10+, beautiful crystal clear blue water, white sand, barely any seaweeds. I must say the food was good! I was able to find something to eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner! Beautiful resort

Everything about the resort was beautiful. The staff was amazing and friendly. I have only positive things to say. My only issue was the repetitiveness of the food at the main buffet. I was fine but my teen found it a bit rough.

Worry-free Complex- Explore and Enjoy

This hotel gives your tweens and teens the opportunity to gain confidence and build character and compassion. They are safe to be on their own, without parents supervising or hovering over them. Everyone looks out for each other. Leaving your cellphones at the dining table, unattended, is common practice while you leave to select food items in tne servery at Las Palmas buffet. I suggest using Whatsapp group chat to keep your family members connected as they go off exploring the amenities. It i [... read more]s a huge complex with beautiful walkways, use the hallways that connect the buildings to cool off. A very clean beach, waves are minimal. Relax and enjoy. Two weeks is best.

Horrible place

Horrible place to go on vacation. The beach in front of the resort is a public beach, so every day you have hundreds or thousands on local people on the beach. The beach is extremely dirty with full of cans, plastic and bags. The water is a floating garbage. One day i saw 6 poo floating on ocean. In the hotel I saw two living cockroach. Half of the tourist from hotel were also locals from Cuba so good luck on the buffet where they don't have any respect.

Infinite Pool overlooking Coral Reef Beach

A family getaway. Beautiful landscaping. Lots of free activities...paddleboat, catamaran, splashpad pirateship theme. Keep hydrated with plenty of bars to serve you. Only complaint...6am towel "reserving" of beach lounge chairs for fix umbrellas.

Gran Muthu Almirante Beach – A Wonderful Stay!

We had a fantastic experience at Gran Muthu Almirante Beach and would definitely recommend it to others looking for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway in Cuba. The resort itself is well-maintained, clean, and beautifully laid out. The rooms are spacious and modern, with a powerful air conditioner that kept us cool and comfortable throughout our stay. The beach was pristine, with clear water that was perfect for swimming. We also appreciated that the pools never felt overcrowded, and we had no trouble finding available lounge chairs throughout the day. However, there is a noticeable lack of shade around the pool area, so be prepared if you're looking for sun protection. In terms of food, we were pleasantly surprised! For Cuba standards, the food was quite good and we never had trouble finding something we enjoyed. A big highlight was the Asian and Indian à la carte restaurants—both served delicious meals and offered a great dining experience. We also loved the outdoor BBQ area next to the buffet, which served tasty burgers and chicken skewers. This became our go-to when we opted for more casual dinners. There were a couple of minor downsides—the main one being the limited drink options during the day. Blended drinks like piña coladas and daiquiris are only available from 4–10 PM at one specific bar, which was a bit disappointing given the heat. Also, we experienced a few short power outages, but they were brief and didn’t impact our trip significantly. One unexpected perk was the resort Wi-Fi—it worked surprisingly well, even down at the beach, which made it easy to stay connected when we needed to. All in all, we had an amazing stay and are already looking forward to returning to Gran Muthu Almirante Beach in the future!

Good for Cuban standards

Rooms are fine, hotel in general is fine (Cuban standards). Staff are mostly friendly although customer service isn't great. Food is OK, again compared to other Cuba resorts. Pools are limited to a few, and beach was ok, wasn't the best of Cuba.

Paradise
