Westin Kierland Resort & Spa: Awesome Property!

Clean, well maintained property. Friendly staff. Great food and drink. Very picturesque setting. Nice that the adult and family pools are separate as it did get busy during the weekend. Would have enjoyed piped in music of some sort at the adult pool though.

Chaparral Suites: Nice oasis in the desert

The out ward look of the place was really impressive. In the room though they were a little dated and tired looking. The rooms are a nice size and the beds were comfortable. The pool area is very nice except for the fact that they still allow smoking at the sitting areas. The pool itself was always full of children as was the hot tube. The breakfast was very, very good. Made to order eggs, pancakes and french toast and what can you say about the great bacon. There is a "Happy Hour" included from [... read more] 5:30 until 7 PM. The down side to that is that the beer was not a craft beer but "Bud Light" and the hard liquor was of very low quality as well. The "STAFF" were all very helpful and cheerful at all time. They always would acknowledge you.
