Ocean Point Resort and Spa: Exceptional resort!

The rooms were very clean and they were maintained every day with care. The staff was very helpful... my daughter and I wanted to do a land tour of Antigua and the front desk staff bent over backwards to find us what we wanted as most tours were sold out. The best part is the tour company South Coast Horizons came it at a competitive price and our tour guide was awesome. St James Club and Villas: Beautiful Location

The food was amazing staff were very friendly. We experienced heavy rains and an umbrella in the room would have been helpful. Ample chairs to sit at beach and towels were easy to get for pools and beach. Our room was nice with a great view of the ocean. Piccolo restaurant was romantic and very good food. Bartender Selman next to Docksider restaurant was an amazing bar tender. Bartender Dane in the lounge outside of Rainbow restaurant was also very helpful and friendly.

The Verandah Antigua: Nice Resort

This resort is very beautiful. The grounds are kept up very nicely and the beach area is clean and there was always plenty of beach chairs available. Downside is that there never seemed to be clean beach towels available. We had plenty of access to all the beach equipment., paddle boards, kayaks etc. The food was good, and they tried to change up the buffet every night which was nice. Both the room and the balcony were large. The only complaint about the room was that we kept running out of hot water. We didn't go to the pools as they were very busy with mostly families. We were there just as a couple. The adult pool looked nice, but it had limited seats and it was far from our room, so we didn't bother with it. Overall, this was a great resort!

Royalton Antigua Resort and Spa: wonderful spot

Our trip to the Royalton was wonderful - 5 star worthy!!! The room was clean and decor above average; the resort property layout was great and all buildings were beautiful. You could tell that cleanliness was a high propriety; noteworthy was that pool washrooms were always clean. The food and service were great; from the main buffet - le Marche, to Grazie's, to Hunter's... The beach was pristine; the pool area was tiered up from the beach - so you always had a beach view. We were well taken care of and would return.

Royalton Antigua Resort and Spa: Excellent Resort

We enjoyed our stay at the Royalton Antigua. The staff was very attentive respectful and professional. They always had a smile and ready to stop and say hello. The resort was always kept in very high standards in keeping resort and grounds very clean. Food and all restaurants were excellent and the beach was clean and enjoyable with friendly staff.

Jolly Beach Antigua: Jolly Beach

The hotel is working hard to rebuild we had some hiccups on arrival but soon got sorted out the updated rooms are nice but only about 1/3 of the hotel is operating the food has little choice but is really good for the most part the beach is amazing as always and the staff are really kind the owner has a rep on site and he is serious about customer satisfaction over all good for the price

Royalton Antigua Resort and Spa: Amazing beach bad service

I read all the reviews about this property before I booked. I learned about the amazing beach and this is what made me decide to book even though I also learned about the bad service in this hotel, I'm not picky at all and all that I need is a good weather and a nice beach. I'm a handicapped person that I walk with a walker so I sent an email to the email address on the Royalton website asking just for a ground-floor room then they directed my email to Donna the front desk manager and some oth [... read more]er names. Donna responded that they noted that in my file. When I arrived there was no ground-floor room available and they said that they will give me one after 2 days, which I understand. The big problem was that the hotel has 2 tiny elevators and if I use one with my walker only 2 other persons can share the elevator with me! So every time I go up or down I have to wait 3 or 4 turns to get an empty one. Till then I wouldn't write a bad review because I understand that it is only a problem for a handicapped person that doesn't have a ground-floor room. Now comes the main problem which applies to everyone. besides the steak house restaurant, there is a narrow corridor to the washroom, in this narrow corridor they put a permanent 2 cleaning carts and if you want to use the washroom you have to squeeze yourself beside the cleaning carts imagine me with a walker! I asked many of the hotel employees at least 3 times to remove the carts since it is against safety measures to put them there in the first place! The last time I went to this washroom I fell down because I have to leave my walker and lean on the walls. I sent an email to Donna and the other names with the incident and of course, I received the apologies that I always receive from her. The second day, nothing happened and the carts are still in the same place so I sent another email and I received the usual apologies. With all that happened to me, I was waiting to see actions, as well as compensation for all their mistakes especially ignoring my complains of the carts, which could've led to a bad injury! In my opinion, the big problem in this hotel is that they provide lip service without taking any action, and you can see that from the Royalton response to people's bad reviews with the typical sentences of bieng sorry and they'll make it up for you next time you go! bet you it is gonna be the same for my review.

Royalton Antigua Resort and Spa: Needs a lot of work to be compatible with the Royalton we know

Hotel was nice and clean. They should be a bit more careful with keeping up with the maintenance, the door to the balcony in our room was cracked and not just one crack but nobody did anything even though we called and mention it, their answer was that they already knew about it, if I had children I would not be comfortable being in that room. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. Buffet was HORRIBLE - Same food at every lunch and dinner, same food at all stations, not enough varie [... read more]ty, once one of the trays was finished took them a while to fill it out again, in case of yogurt and fresh fruit once it was finished there was no more. The servers were not very helpful either we asked for water or coffee and we would be half way our meal by the time they brought to the table. Restaurant a la carte - EXCELLENT - the food was amazing well prepared and served, the staff was perfect, friendly, happy, could not do enough, constantly asking how is the food, if there was anything else we needed. Needless to say that we ended up having lunches and dinners at these restaurants instead of the Buffet. Would I recommend this hotel? Sure it is a good location the beach is beautiful and just to be out of the cold in the sun and hot weather it is worth.

Royalton Antigua Resort and Spa: Great resort!

Overall great experience. Travelled with kids for the first time and couldn’t have picked a better place. The outdoor dining options were amazing and particularly appealing from a covid perspective. The distance from beach/pool to room to dining was all within a short walk, we actually never used our stroller/wagon as we had originally planned with having toddlers with us. Sandals Grande Antigua: Amazing resort in Antigua !

Grounds were meticulously looked after. Everything was very clean . Staff very curious and well spoken . Only issue was getting a spot on the beach , if you had a butler it was taken care of , but if you didn’t you would have to be up very early to save yourself a spot .

Jolly Beach Antigua: Cheap Antigua

Beach amazing!! Staff amazing!!! Nice new pool area. The hotel rooms are very tired, old fixtures, windows. Maid service for a fee. Meals ok. Bar ok closed early for us at 1030pm. Lobby and grounds are looking better by the end of our week but still in need of lot's of work.

The Verandah Antigua: Beautiful resort

Resort is beautiful with palm trees all over, two very quaint beaches, large pool, beach bars and grills. Disappointed with service very slow and understaffed . Rooms are very nice with beautiful views and large washrooms. Unfortunately beds are very hard.

Pineapple Beach Club: Lovely Resort

Staff kind and attentive , rooms adequate, ac worked, food good, perfect size resort, wicked tennis court, fun daily games, rum & beer delicious, and beach absolutely stunning. I recommend this resort!

Hawksbill Resort Antigua: Amazing location / Inexistent management

Very nice ,nice beach and pool area , grounds kept beautiful and clean . Friendly staff . Entertainment area could be better for the type of resort. Has no real area for shows , no seating for people to watch shows , Overall not a good entertainment.

Pineapple Beach Club: Great Resort

This is our second stay at the resort. Everything was very clean and the grounds were very beautiful. The staff was amazing, especially Maritza Peter Suzette Jeremiah, and Dwayne. The food was very good but I just wish it was hotter. I intend to go back in the future.

Ocean Point Resort and Spa: Loved every minute!

This is the 2nd time that my husband and I have been to this resort. First in 2020, right before covid 19 hit and October 30-Nov.9, 2022.This is a quiet, quaint, 70 room resort. There was a buffet the first trip but since covid, it is now a-la-carte. The food was great the first time and now it is like eating in a fine dining restaurant every day. Our bar fridge did not work and before we could request another one, a new one was in our room. The housekeeper noticed it and had it replaced. We were beyond impressed. The beach is small so you can't go for long walks and there are many rocks walking in. You should bring water shoes. But those are small negatives in our minds. Hawksbill Resort Antigua: Perfect for rest ,relaxation &sun

Grounds were nice we had room 15 on the beach . The water is clean and warm and calm as this resort is on a cove, great for swimming and snorkelling . There are a few small beaches ,all were nice but not the long white sandy beaches for long walks. The beach with clothing optional was pretty much deserted . Amazing fresh grilled fish everyday ! My sister loved the homemade strawberry ice cream! plenty of drinks with very few lineups due to low season . When booking ask for air-conditioned room as some rooms don’t have it and it does get quit warm . This resort is for older retired people which suited us just fine . No loud music blaring all day so we read and slept which was the purpose of our trip . The pool is very very small and 3’ deep . There are lots of steps so not Great for mobility issues. There are a row of about 10 renovated cabins with HUGE anew bathrooms right on the beach that would be perfect for honeymooners or if you are looking for privacy . Good live music a few of the nights with an amazing steel band we really enjoyed . The rooms and public bathrooms are extremely tired . I understand that the resort closing in April for a few months for some highly needed Reno’s. We got this for a good price so we went for it ,but not sure we would return .

Royalton Antigua Resort and Spa: Great stay!

My husband and I stayed at the Royalton Antigua from Sept 24th to Oct 1, 2022. The hotel room and all amenities were clean and very well maintained. We had one issue with our room when we first arrived and it was quickly rectified by Guest Services. In particular Antonique in guest services went above and beyond to help us. If you're planning to visit in the future and there are any issues the staff right away, they will do whatever they can to make it right. We stayed in room 11-409 and she went above and beyond to make us comfortable. Overall a great experience, we could see where the hotel was trying their best and we would recommend the resort to anyone.
