Catalonia Yucatan: Great Time!

The hotel was very nice, clean and well kept...staff were wonderful and food was good...we flew air canada and our package said we had a mini bar which we did not, and we were supposed to have a hair dryer and we did not...first resort i have ever been too with no hairdryer...i wasnt a fan of the beach. The sargassum was bad but that was the time of year...without the sargassum the beach still wasnt great. One thing i did not like was the fact that the 2 resorts were together and you could use [... read more] both...Mayan side got full use of everything but Yucatan side you were limited to what you could use on Mayan side. We chose Yucatan because it was smaller. I DO NOT like the use of the word Privileged...please use a different word if someone has upgraded...all in all the resort was ok and a great time was had

TRS Yucatan: Exceptional Service

The resort and staff were simply amazing! Very clean and everyone was incredibly friendly. We enjoyed all the à la carte restaurants with a variety of food. The infinity pool and activities were certainly highlights during our stay. The only thing missing was a nice sand beach. If long walks on the beach are non negotiables then this resort is not for you. They aim to please and go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your stay.

Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: Amazing Clean Resort

It was a 10 out of 10. Food was excellent, pools exceptional grounds were very clean. There was a cleaning staff throughout the resort. The restaurants were great. The entertainment was awesome. The rooms were great ? The maids did a great job cleaning all the rooms.

Catalonia Yucatan: Nice Small Resort

Small well kept resort. Staff very nice, Grounds properly kept. Beach is very small and rocky. Food at the buffet was good, pools were nice and clean. Bars served good drinks. Beach volleyball every day. Rooms are a little dated, beds comfortable. You spend most of your days outside, only in your room at night, they were clean and no insects in the rooms. We would go again.

Riu Dunamar: Good resort

Hotel,the grounds,washroom and hotel rooms all very clean. Can always find something to eat at the buffet at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Has dinner at all the restaurants. Least favorite would be the Steakhouse. Pool side grill okay. Found all staff very friendly and helpful. The is not a easy walk. Seaweed is a problem, not pleasant for swimming. No place to shop or even vendors on the beach. Only the hotel shop. Transportation to and from the airport was very poor. No bus for us on arrival.  [... read more] Close to 2 hour wait at the Cancun airport.

Dreams Puerto Morelos Resort and Spa: so fun !

we had the best time and the staff was honestly so amazing ! Everyday was just better then the next and we grew very found of Rickey Martin lol . Def will recommend this place . Thanks for the wonderful memories.

Sandos Playacar Beach Resort: Fun for the whole family

Went on a couples trip in the adults only club. Definitely a family friendly resort, but nice secluded areas for adults only. Good for the older crowds.. not quite what we we're looking for as younger adults but lovely nonetheless! Great food, staff, beach, pools.

Sandos Cancun: Beautiful beach/clean pools. Awesome staff. Poor food

The staff was very attentive. Always smiling and happy. Very clean hotel. We needed our sink unclogged and it was done in 10 minutes. Beautiful beach. Central to shopping zone. Well stocked mini bar

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Resort is huge

Overall our trip was good but we won't be back to this resort. We were in the furthest building from everything so it's a 10-20 min walk to the lobby, food, drink and beach. In the hot sun with no place to rest and little shade. The trolley car that makes a loop of the resort is inconsistent. Sometimes it would go by every 20 min and sometimes not at all for an hour. Our room was musty and clung to our clothes. The food was mostly good. The a la carte were excellent but the buffet was so so.  [... read more]Some dishes were great, others were inedible. Same with the drinks. Early in the day the drinks were great. The later it was the worse the drinks were. The bar staff were run off their feet and let syrups run out on the soda gun. The pools have no shade while in the water but do have some shade for loungers. However, the only way to get a lounger is to sneak a towel in the middle of the night on one. Don't worry about the No Reserving Loungers signs because they are just for show. The activities during the day can provide nice bits to your vacation. If you can find where they are. The nightly shows were good or terrible. Mexican night and fire show were excellent. Pop stars and Disney night can be missed. The sand on the beach was fine sugar sand. We didnt go in the ocean because there is currently a bloom of seaweed in the area and there were massive amounts in the water at the shore.

Secrets Playa Blanca Costa Mujeres: Dream vacation

The hotel is beautiful right from the entrance and modern. It is easy to negotiate with most restaurants and facilities in the middle of the resort. Service was outstanding after an initial miss at check in (no champagne like other guests, just a sales pitch). Room was beautiful with a great view of the water and the resort from building 9. Lots of opportunities to enjoy the outside in the restaurants and bar. The food was excellent in all restaurants except the seaside grill. Italian and s [... read more]eafood restaurants were outstanding and service was exceptional. Great that you didn’t need a reservation for any except the hibachi. Loved the social pool with aquafit and the instructors ( entertainment team) were excellent. Fun and a great workout. Tried the jungle pool but very limited seating if you didnt rent a cabana. Shows at the rendezvous bar were very good and time at 8:30 was very convenient after a long day in the sun. Definitely will return. The staff is amazing. Red flags at the beach every day but the hotel can’t control the weather. Shout out to Antonio at the buffet, Seina and Taylor from the entertainment team.

Barcelo Maya Palace: Great Family orientated resort

We really enjoyed our stay at the Barcelo Maya Palace. The resort has a great location and is very well-maintained and clean. It is an excellent choice for families with kids because the main pool, kids' water park, and entertainment areas are all located close to each other and near the beach. This arrangement provides something for everyone, while also allowing for quieter areas if you prefer. The beach was nice, with calm waters, although there was a lot of seaweed when it was windy. The w [... read more]ater is incredibly clear, making it great for snorkelling. We spotted many tropical fish and even a few large turtles right in the swimming area, even without snorkel gear. It is advisable to bring water shoes, as there are many stony areas on the shore. The rooms are spacious, very comfortable, and clean. The food was also good, with a great selection for everyone. It's a large resort connected to three other Barcelo properties, which you can explore on foot.

Catalonia Yucatan: Lovely resort

The resort is small (compared to other Catalonia Resorts) but beautiful and everything is so close to the beach and pools. Rooms are dated but clean and maid service was great. Food was good however it would have been nice to have more options to ala Cartes, as buffet eating does get tiring. However, no complaints on food or drinks. Entertainment team is amazing. Guadalupe, server at restaurant was amazing and such a beautiful person. Make sure to go into Puerto Aventuras and walk the area [... read more] and enjoy the restaurants and markets.

Riu Flamingos: Amazing resort

Just got back from a 2 week couples vacation The resort is so beautiful and clean loved everything ,especially the staff a few people that really stood out and went over and above for customer service was Vencinca at the buffet restaurant Luz at the beach towel exchange , Coral on the entertainment team and the bartenders at the la Cantina bar best bar and drinks there are only 2 things I would change that this resort first is bring reservation system back people don’t like standing inline for  [... read more]an hour plus for dinner on their vacation and second one is having poolside waiters for getting drinks this is the first resort I’ve been too that doesn’t have it overall we had an excellent time the food here especially at the steakhouse and buffet is amazing

We enjoyed the resort, Would like to thank Nicolle Kirk for providing us with information and looking at our needs. we wanted and great gym with tennis court and a great beach. We got that. She have used Nicolle many times and was not disappointed. We always go to Nicolle for booking our vacations.

El Dorado Seaside Palms: Eldorado Seaside Palms in Riviera Maya is The BEST for a second time! Dad & Daughter Tropical Trip!

This was my second trip to the Eldorado Seaside Palms. The first was in 2023 for 14 days with my wife and the second in April 2026 was a short trip to celebrate my daughter's 30th birthday. Dad & Daughter Only Trip! With the fantastic help and professionally presented information from Sandra De Faria, we were able to book two Beach Front Junior Suites with King Beds last minute ( in the exact location my wife and I had previously stayed) so we could enjoy the nightly entertainment from the Gu [... read more]acamayas Beach Bar and sit on our decks to people watch and each morning enjoy morning coffee looking at the ocean. While this location is a bit livelier than others away from the beach bar, we were looking for this level of party while there and other locations further away may be more to other folks liking and just as good. It was a fantastic trip and my daughter's first all inclusive Adult only resort experience. The food from the variety of restaurants was still great after ownership changes in the last few years and there are now More Inclusive Excursion options like a Catamaran scuba dive trip and Cenotes Cave Explorations that are included for no extra cost. The pools and grounds were pristine and the pool parties were particularly lively this trip with a large group of other Canadian's from Nova Scotia who had flown down their own bands which made it even more fun each of the 4-5 days were there! My Daughter was concerned before arrival that the resort my be too old of a crowd for her, but soon learned there was a great mix of all ages to mingle with while there. The staff and service was Excellent like before with many familiar faces who have worked there for years and can remember a face...so it felt like coming home, which I truly appreciated living and working in the hotel /resort industry for the last 40 years. Drinks were great and the bar tenders know how to make EVERYTHING you can imagine so have fun trying to pick the next one while in the pool. We had time to take in the weekly Fire Show and outdoor buffet extravaganza which was superb with entertainers that really know how to put on a show for the crowd! Each night there were other musical entertainers at various outdoor bar locations to enjoy as you moved around the resort along with a Silent Disco night one evening and acrobats during our short trip. It was a quick trip that made some really great memories for my daughter and I and we truly look forward to going back again in the future with help from Sandra and Trip Central!

Platinum Yucatan Princess: Excellent resort

Our first trip to Mexico and it didn’t disappoint. Rooms were HUGE, massive shower, well equipped. Food-fantastic (gained 7 pounds). Staff amazing. We did not want to leave. Will most likely go back.

Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres: Beautiful and relaxing resort

I stayed at Majestic Costa Mujeres for a week and really enjoyed the peaceful, relaxed atmosphere. It’s noticeably quieter than many all-inclusives, making it a great choice for both couples and families who want a low-key getaway. The food was very good overall, with strong dinner options and consistently fresh selections. The steakhouse and seafood restaurant were standouts, and the ice cream was excellent. Overall, it’s a resort I would go back to especially for the calm vibe, good food, and relaxing setting.

Allegro Playacar: Beautiful Beach and Luscious Grounds

I travelled April 18-25, 2026 with my friend. We were looking for a restful week of sunshine, surf and beverages and the Allegro did not disappoint. Having stayed at numerous Caribbean Resorts, this resort is older and more basic than most. It is very peaceful. The room was adequate although we were in building 11 which is THE closest to the Theatre and Lobby. This proved noisy during the nighttime entertainment but we made the best of it. One bonus is that they don't use key cards as your wristband opens your room. Our fridge was stocked as we requested and the cleaning crew did a very nice job daily. The food was good. There were three options for a la carts - Mexican, Italian and Asian. The only thing I did not like was having to line up in the lobby every day if we wanted to book an a la cart for that night. You could only book one meal at a time, the day of. We did the Mexican and Italian. The rest of our dinners were buffet. There is also a buffet at the pool bar but we preferred to have pizza made to order just outside of the pool bar for lunch. The beach is absolutely huge and the water was beautiful. They did their best to clean up the constant influx of sargassum. We never had an issue getting a chair at the beach or the pool and towels were always available at the towel hut. The staff are amazing and very cheerful. They were a pleasure to associate with.

Paradisus Playa del Carmen: Great Resort for Families

I travelled with my husband and another couple with a newborn. The staff were very friendly and super helpful. While we didn’t need entertainment for the baby, we noticed there were plenty of activities to keep kids occupied. We also spent some time on the adult side, which was pleasant and offered a good variety of events—creating a nice balance overall. The pools were great, with lots of seating available. I would avoid the Family Concierge pool, as it always seemed to be the busiest area.  [... read more]That said, I do wish there were more umbrellas for shade—it often felt like a scramble to find one, and they weren’t easy to move when needed. The beach was lovely, with plenty of seating and a volleyball court. There was some seaweed, but it was consistently cleared in the mornings and throughout the day, so it didn’t impact our experience much. If you upgrade to the Family Concierge, the beach chairs and service are noticeably better. That said, overall I don’t think the upgrade is worth it (we didn’t upgrade but did spend a day in the concierge beach area). The rooms were nice, with comfortable beds. I understand the family side is due for renovations, but even without a facelift, it was still very enjoyable. One tip: avoid a connecting room if you don’t need one—we had to switch after the first night because we could hear the family next door very clearly. The restaurants were decent overall, and the buffet was actually excellent. Agave stood out as the best restaurant on the property. We also visited the spa. The massages were fantastic, but the facilities didn’t quite meet expectations. You only get access to the pool, sauna, and steam room for one hour before your treatment, which doesn’t feel like great value given the cost. Overall, it was a great stay for a family, especially considering the price

Barcelo Maya Riviera: Terrific stay

Seriously loved everything about this hotel. Food was excellent, pool was very clean and very large, adults only was the way to go. Room was clean and spacious. Service was excellent. If i have to complain about anything it is that the rocks in the ocean but hey that is not the hotel’s fault. Thank you very much for a lovely stay
