Grand Oasis Riviera: Not worth it!!

To start with the $125.00 cdn for the environmental fee, ridiculous. The fact they only give you a couple bottles of water and coke in your mini fridge the first day and then you have to pay if you want anymore. Buffet breakfast is terrible, burnt to a crisp bacon everyday. No entertainment at all unless you eat at Mexican restaurant then you can hear a Miriachi band. Not worth the money, would never go back

Ocean Coral and Turquesa: Great resort!

From the moment we arrived in the vast and luxurious lobby, to the moment we left, the service at Ocean Coral and Turquesa was top notch. We had a great experience at checkin while being offered drinks from the bar (alcoholic or nonalcoholic), the valet showed us to our room and carried our bags. Since we arrived late we were exhausted, after appreciating our extremely clean room, we fell into a very comfy bed with plenty of pillows. The next morning all was bright and sunny and already ab [... read more]out 28 degrees. All ready for the pool we had breakfast and proceeded to the Pool. We are typically beach people, however the sargassum sure was making certain that was not possible. However that was to no fault of the hotel, so we became pool people! And we are so happy we did! This hotel pays attention to everything! Staff would see you in a hallway and ask if all was well, could they do anything. Like, just because. Throw in the number of restaurants and bars, amenities, activities and you never have to leave the resort. But you will want to with all of the excursions available! All in all, I would give this resort a thumbs up, 5-Stars, and a high recommendation.

Barcelo Maya Palace: Great resort except for Restaurants reservation

The Barcelo Maya Palace is a great resort with a superb beach. The Hitel Staff at the restaurants are very nice. The food is varied but at the buffet restos the food is often cold, they should have a better system to keep the food hot. The biggest problem of this resort is the A La Carte restaurants reservation process. It is very frustrating, it is an abrasive lengthy process and you don’t get the restaurants you want at the time you want

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Great trip

Excellent trip to the Bahía Príncipe Explore Tulum. Weather was amazing. Resort was not busy so we had our choice of chairs at the beach or pool. They were constantly cleaning and fixing things around the resort while we were there. Too bad about the sea weed on the beach, they worked so hard to clean it up everyday but some days it was just too much for them! Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: Great resort!

The resort was very clean and well appointed. The staff took pride in their work and were very friendly. The rooms were large and very comfortable. I felt very safe wandering the grounds. There were many dining options and the food was excellent. (Watch out for the $20 US bag of Lays chips!) We loved the beach and swimming in the ocean for a few days until the seaweed made it impossible. Catalonia Playa Maroma: Excellent resort

Very nice rooms excellent service. Food was good & close to the beach. Staff were courteous 4 speciality restaurants nice pool, little coffee bar with special drinks & deserts.Some nights entertainment in lobby. The shows were spectacular

Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya: Wonderful resort

Very beautiful resort spread out with many walking paths to different areas. Great pool areas with bars and lounge chairs. The resort included many restaurants with a large variety of food. A desk with two concierge staff is located on the main floor of each building and we found them to be the nicest and most helpful you could ask for. The beach area left a bit to be desired as the sargassum was quite bad but the staff were working hard on that issue. A lot of wildlife for those intereste [... read more]d in seeing small animals. Overall a beautiful holiday location with great staff who couldn't do enough for you.

Barcelo Maya Riviera: Barcelo Maya Riviera - Mexico - Adult only

This was our second time staying at the Barceló Maya Riviera, and overall we had a good experience, although there were some differences compared to our first visit. The room was very spacious, with an extremely large and comfortable bed—big enough for several people. It was always clean, and we really enjoyed having a Jacuzzi on the balcony. The sound insulation was excellent; we couldn’t hear any noise from neighboring rooms. The air conditioning worked very well, which made the stay even mor [... read more]e comfortable. However, the refrigerator was not consistently restocked—it was only refilled two or three times during our one-week stay. The food was very good most of the time, with plenty of variety, although one day the selection was limited. We appreciated that it was possible to book à la carte restaurants, but reservations were quite difficult to secure. We managed to book only two restaurants during our stay. We tried the French restaurant, which was very good—we even had lobster there. Unfortunately, we had to cancel another reservation because the only available time was too late (9:30 pm). On one occasion, we were advised to try walking in to a restaurant, but we were turned away. The beach is nice, but there are some important things to know. The shore and water entry are quite rocky, with sharp stones and broken shells, so water shoes are highly recommended. Near the shore, the water can appear a bit cloudy, but it becomes clearer as you go further out. You can see some fish, and if you walk to the pier, there are many more, as people feed them there. One downside was that it was difficult to find available sunbeds. Many guests reserved them very early in the morning (around 7 am) by leaving towels or personal items, especially near the pool and beach. The staff were wonderful—friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Overall, we enjoyed our vacation, but compared to our first visit, it felt different and less organized, especially when it came to restaurant reservations and beach seating.

El Dorado Seaside Suites: Excellent resort

This hotel is exceptional, featuring an outstanding staff and an impressive bar where skilled mixologists craft beverages to perfection, ensuring a delightful experience. The accommodations offer superior comfort, with inviting outdoor spaces to appreciate the scenic views. The culinary offerings are consistently fresh and satisfying, providing a delightful dining experience. Staff very nice.

El Dorado Seaside Palms: Great resort

Nice property and big great food and stuff I would go back to this resort, we enjoyed the trip. Very clean and organized people are very nice and willing to help, lot of restaurants to chose from with great variety of food.

Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: Amazing Resort !!!

This is my 5th time going to the Valentine ! By far my favorite resort in Mayan Riviera ! The grounds are beautiful, the restaurants are absolutely amazing and the service, absolutely the best ! Will return again for sure !

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Great Stay

This was a trip for me and my husband, strictly for sunshine and relaxation! It was a great pick for us and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I had been here before, section of rooms by the lobby, this time we were closer to the beach. I do prefer the rooms closer to the beach, big pool and buffet was all nearby. We didn’t spend much time at the evening shows at the Black & White bar but it seemed most people enjoyed them. The food was great, highly recommend the Steakhouse restaurant. We originally intended to travel to Cuba but that plan didn’t work out, however we were very happy that we booked this instead. The beach was not super spectacular but the water was nice to swim in. The issue with loungers was a problem but we were up and at the beach by 7 and never had any problems to find two together. I highly recommend this resort to people looking for a budget friendly, great value resort!

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Amazing resort, Food and Location

We loved the place, the Sian Ki'an would have been a yearly visit if we were younger when we discovered it. We had a floor suite with a hot tub. A great choice if you're old-er like us. The food was fantastic. We had the best restaurant experience ever at the Japanese restaurant on-site, the MAIKO RESTAURANT. The main buffet had problems with labeling of food, and consistency, but otherwise was great. We were there for a week and there were no French fries for the last four days. Lots  [... read more]of other great potato dishes to choose from, but no fries. There were also NO TORTILLAS! Just the crispy fried corn chip type?! Yeesh. There was real ground black pepper, and real milk (homogenized) like we are used to for my tea. At the only other resort we went to (in the Dominican Republic) neither was available. The location was great so we could go to Xel-Há and Tulum. This is common to these resorts but DO NOT book excursions through the hotel if you have a choice. For Air Canada Vacations book through their agent. They will be hidden in a corner. The hotel doesn't want you to book with them at half the price. "Service" gets dinged for this ... The beaches in the area are covered in coral and rocks, but there are lots of places to swim so it's okay. The Bahai app is a joke, almost no one could book a reservation or get it to work at all.

Breathless Riviera Cancun: Amazing resort

First time at an adults only resort and it was fantastic. Staff were extremely friendly and anticipated our needs very well. Food and drinks and overall atmosphere of the resort was fun and upbeat. The night club and the entertainment were both refreshing and consistent, which was nice because we always had something to do.

Barcelo Maya Riviera: Very nice

Very nice , clean and well maintained . Excellent staff friendly and always willing to help . The buffet had food for everyone (from hotdogs and hamburgers to ribeye steaks and lobster) . My only issue was that the food was luke warm at best . Did three a la carte, Italian , Mexican and Japanese . The Italian was good the other two were OK . The beach was cleaned daily from the sea grass , the water is a little murky and very rocky . Blue Diamond Luxury Boutique Hotel: PERFECT GETAWAY

This resort is truly a hidden gem. Boutique (which yes means smaller) it is is a stunning property, with attentive staff and the food is unbelievable. This is not a 6 restaurant, all you can eat buffet with music pumping all the time, it is not a party spot. It is luxury, caters to you and the staff going out of their way to make your stay everything it can be. The rooms are spacious and sprawling, you have plunge pools and patios to enjoy, walk-in closest and mini fridges stocked each day w [... read more]ith drinks, fans and AC were in great working order and the cleaning was always done by early afternoon. The pools (there are 3 there is a hidden one at the spa, make sure you find it), are cleaned, clear and cool. The areas are reset every day, always fresh towels and the bar and staff always ready to support. There are 2 restaurants, which you rotate through each night for dinner. The food is amazing, not overwhelming portions, fresh ingredients and always something new, we never got board of the food - breakfast was our fave! The beach was stunning. Seaweed (when we had it) was cleared each day by the staff. Great couples get away or recharge if you are busy with work!

Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: Beautiful resort with lots to do!

The Royalton Riviera Cancun is a beautiful resort with lots of things to do. The staff are very kind and the grounds are well maintained. The basic rooms are comfortable, but don’t expect too many frills. The Al La carte restaurants book up, so you need to book them the moment you arrive and get on wifi, otherwise you won’t get in to any.

Barcelo Maya Riviera: Great adults-only resort to unwind and enjoy the sun!

Easy shuttle process organized by the airline to the Barcelo resort (around 1hr 15 mins from Cancun airport). The overall property is quite big with six different resorts, with the hotel on the south end being the adults-only resort. It is a modern-looking hotel compared to the rest of the property and had great amenities (large pools, good access to the beach, lots of options for sports/fitness activities, and lots of variety of restaurants in the adults-only resort and across the property).  [... read more] The beach is pretty rocky by the adults-only section, but you can walk about a hundred yards to the left and the seabed is a lot smoother and easier to access. Restaurants have good variety and are pretty good across the respective cuisines. Buffet is also a good option for a variety of dishes, especially the desserts and fresh fruit. We got a premium swim-up room which was nice to enjoy a quick dip if you didn't walk to go all the way to the main pool area. The towel game is very much in play in the mornings with most chairs snagged by around 8-9am. The late night shows are great with several options across the various resorts, the ones at the adults-only hotel isn't quite as strong as the others, but you can take the shuttle to attend the other events such as Broadway musical hits, circus, salsa performance etc. All in all, very good resort and great value to enjoy in Riviera Maya.

Royal Hideaway Playacar: Wonderful vacation

The room was very clean and comfortable. The bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve slept on at an all inclusive. While some of the areas may seem dated compared to newer modern hotels, it’s in great condition and so well maintained. Food was fantastic and service was hospitable and friendly. The pools were great as the two by the beach had excellent views of the beach and were practically on the beach. My preference was the infinity pool that was not heated. It was fresh and cool! There is little to no night life at this hotel but this was perfect for us. Overall, I’d stay again and would recommend!
