Iberostar Selection Esmeralda: Amazing resort

The hotel was very nice, clean rooms and the surroundings very well maintained. The staff at the resort very friendly and always ready to help of you are in need of something. The food was decent but the drinks at bars need a lot off improvement. For 5 stars hotel it was very poor choice of drinks They have not a decent beer or a pop drink The room fridge empty I am a bit disappointed in that matter.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Amazing Resort Pristine Beaches - Hola! Cuba

We had a great time at the resort. Amazing price we got from trip Central and then it was followed up by a perfectly planned and executed trip. Thanks to trip Central sunwing and Nexus stores and a bigger thanks to Robin, our trip Central rep who helped us to book this vacation package at the last moment. The whole experience from booking right after checking in and checking out was smooth and we were kept well informed by all the travel partners.

Playa Luxury Cayo Guillermo: Somewhat of a disappointment

Grounds, pools, and beach all very nice and kept immaculate. Problem was distance to our room from lobby was quite a walk and up hill. Walk to beach from our room was way too far, would have been nice to have a shuttle take us there. Unfortunately we were eaten alive by no seem-ums at beach. The a la carte meals were awesome, the buffet less than adequate. Big communication problem at buffet when trying to have a simple omelet cooked. Iberostar Coral Esmeralda: Dream Vacation

We booked for our anniversary and had a dream vacation. Swim up pool room is a must and Iberostar Coral Esmeralda will be our forever resort ! The staff from back of house to the front were amazing!! The food was great and the resort is very clean, quiet and felt like we were family! Trip central helped us long the way and we will book with them from now on! Thank you !!!

Iberostar Selection Esmeralda: Amazing Cuba vacation

We had a wonderful week at this resort. It was sparking clean and the food was good and plentiful. The deserts were really tasty. The pools were clean and welcoming, the beach was beautiful (even with the seaweed) and the people who work there warm and helpful. We will for sure go back to this resort.

Hotel Playa Coco: Good resort

Our room was an ocean view room but no screen so could not leave balcony door open. Water for showers was lukewarm. Grounds crew and all staff were very friendly. Always had chairs at pool and beach. Japanese restaurant was excellent! Nightly entertainment not great and didn’t start till 9:00.. too late

Melia Costa Rey: Fabulous Resort

Beautiful property, especially the Level, security was exceptional Food, atmosphere, employees the pools , bars. Grounds, all kept very well The bars were well stocked, plenty of choices for food every where on site The only place I will stay in Cuba at the moment Plan to return in the spring

Grand Aston Cayo Paredon Beach Resort: Will return in a heartbeat

After waiting for five years to venture back and missing the beautiful beaches of Cuba, we decided to give it a try, with even lower expectations. This was one of our best vacations. We stayed in the Club section and it was totally worth it. We were expecting power outages, no hot water and standard Cuban food. There were no power outages, we had hot water for 5 of 7 days. Don’t expect that everything on the menu will be available. Bacon might not be available everyday and they may run out of pizza. There was a general lack of fresh vegetables and variety of fruits. Most of the vegetables and fruits were from cans. We tried all of the a la carte restaurants and with the exception of the Italian, they were enjoyable. The Cubans are in survival mode. Be generous and kind. They work long hours and travel long distances to get to work. They were especially thankful for rechargeable lights, solar lights, toothbrushes and toothpaste, glue and supplies to repair things.

Grand Aston Cayo Paredon Beach Resort: Great resort

Its my first time at Grand Aston and I'm really impressed by this resort. Its bigger then I expected, but everything put together very well. Food is very good for Cuba ( and I go to Cuba a lot ).Rooms are great, comfortable beds ,pillows not so, but I always bring my with me because of sore neck. Hot water and pressure in a shower always good. I stayed in Building 5 ,close to everything. Iberostar Coral Esmeralda: Good Resort

This is my 2nd time at the resort in the same year.The food and drinks were just as good.Unfortunately the ocean was cold and a lot of seaweed because of the hurricane.They have more entertainment in the eve, a dance troupe also the pianist and singer.the rooms are really nice also the staff are very friendly.Would return.

Grand Aston Cayo Paredon Beach Resort: Average Resort

The actual resort has so much potential! The rooms and accomodations were beautiful for Cuba. The food was also as to be expected when visiting a resort in Cuba. The beach was beautiful and extremely clean, the seaweed was constantly being picked up every day and throughout. My only real problems when visiting the resort was lack of hot water, or water at all. It seemed unfortunate that they were limited to a certain number of bottles of alcohol (for example white wine) throughout the day at certain times. It also seemed that half way through our stay, which ran into the beginning of high season, that the resort started to bring out more amenities and start to put in more effort as we were leaving after a two week stay. Overall I wouldn’t go back and would probably still opt for a resort right in cayo coco, not cayo paredon.

Melia Cayo Coco: Great resort!

Staff at Melia Cayo Coco was very friendly and attentive. They always tried their best to accommodate everyone. We had a lovely room which provided enough comfort but the original workmanship and subsequent repairs just didn't cut it. We have also dealt with a running toilet which we had to tend to every time we flushed but once we figured out the trick, we just dealt with it. We were delighted that we didn't have to rush in the mornings to secure our spots either on the beach or by the pool as the resort provided sufficient number of lounge chairs and palapas. We rather enjoyed the entertainment which seemed to be going throughout the day. Too bad Michael Jackson was sick, lol, we were rather looking forward to the show! However, we were not too keen on the fashion show as their crew was quite pushy for us to get our raffle tickets. It got to a point where we had to leave. Overall, we would recommend the resort and are looking forward to returning there.

Melia Costa Rey: Beautiful Resort

A wonderful resort. Staff cannot do enough for the guest, always happy with a smile on their face. Entertainment staff work so hard and long hours. So many repeat guests . Clean beach and easy entry into the ocean. Will be back for sure.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Worst Resort Ever- Not as Advertised - Bad Management

Do Not pay for upgrade to Premium Service. It's the same as a regular customer You received nothing special. Save your money Room showers are installed at 5 feet high so you have to bend to take a shower. No hot water. Shower holder has one screw in it so when water is turned on it sprays everywhere, Beach towels are not exchanged unless you leave them in the room and go to the beach with no towel, come back later and maybe get exchanged towels. No toilet paper other than in your room.  [... read more]Bathrooms around the resort are not cleaned or restocked so people walked around with their own TP Food runs out after the first hour, sporadic chicken or fish Dining staff walk up to buffet and eat with their hands from the buffet Animals on the beach and around the resort. At least 3 dogs that belong to staff roam the property. Remained on property after viciously attacking a guest during our stay. Management allows animals around the property. Cats (3) in the buffet dining room area daily. Birds in the dining room pooping on tabled and eating peoples food all week. Soliciting of tips by entertainment staff after every show, walking around with hats soliciting gratuities for middle school caliber shows. Also no actual entertainment show every night. Management not willing to adhere to the basic standards Staff seemed unhappy and disgruntled, lack of smiles and basic politeness. Staff more attentive to their cellphones and co-workers than guests. On a positive note the grounds were nicely kept except when it rained the walkways and other areas were flooded leaving no option but to wade through the dirty water to or from your room

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: quiet homey resort

The staff were amazing. The food was good. Room service great. BUT, there was no hot water for the week that we were there, but we managed and did not find this upsetting. The resort is quiet, and mostly for older people or those wishing to be left alone or be in quiet. The beach is the BEST!!!, anyone who wishes to swim or is afraid of water, should come to Memories Caribe. Caribe has good tennis and basketball courts, it does not have racquets for tennis or pickleball. Bingo would be a good game to offer the vacationers. Memories Flamenco has more life and vibrance, but the entry into the water because the first 5 feet into the sea at Memories Flamenco has lots of broken shells, otherwise the beach and water is perfect (people with lower body disability may just need a few extra seconds to cautiously step over this area. I wish the people of Cuba a quick recovery in the recovery following Hurricane Melissa. The staff at the resorts will appreciate everything that you donate to them, including your dollars.

Melia Cayo Coco: Amazing resort!!

This was our fourth trip to the Melia Cayo Coco and we have never been disappointed. The resort is always clean and in good repair. The staff are great, always smiling and happy to see you. The food is plentiful at the buffet and the meals at the al a carts were awesome!! The beach is beyond amazing!!

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Fun and relaxing at resort

This Resort is dated but very clean . The staff are very friendly, There is lots of food available at the buffet . If you're looking for a buffet that serves steaks, salmon , large servings of seafood, this is not your resort. This is a resort that allows you to relax at the ocean front or at the 2 large pools . There are lots of beverages at the bar, mixed drinks and lots of cold beer. Just make sure you bring mosquito repellent!

Iberostar Coral Esmeralda: A long and honest review!

We have just returned (Nov 2025) after a week in Paradise! Cuba is definitely Paradise in our eyes, and this resort delivers with relaxation, friendliness of the staff and quality for the price…everyone needs to remember that you can’t have a weekend away at home for the price you pay for a week in the sun! The food didn’t disappoint, we ate at 3 of the a-la-cartes, Gourmet, International and Italian. You are only allowed 3 meals a-la-carte with a 7 day stay. Variety of food is fine, you always  [... read more]found enough to eat, they lack fresh fruit, lots of canned peaches, pears and fruit cocktail though! We have stayed in other resorts with Butler Service, this hotel didn’t come up to par with others. The Butlers were there, but not as visible. If help was needed you needed to ask. Management was always present, very visible and checking in at every turn. Grounds were always being worked on, areas were being painted, public bathrooms clean (although lacked toilet tissue, carry Kleenex at all times..lol). Rooms clean, water pressure great…we were on second floor, you needed to run the sink faucet and shower for a couple of minutes to have hot water, but at times you actually had to turn it down, otherwise the water was too hot! Bugs are abundant, but what can you expect when you’re in this part of the world! I had bites on my legs and arms that needed attention when returning home, unfortunately bug spray and After Bite didn’t cut it. Take Benadryl and something for itch relief with you, as you won’t be able to get it while there. Our room was ocean view in building 6, so relaxing to watch the sunrise every morning. The room was clean and we had plenty of towels and necessities at all times. Lots of bottled water, the room fridge had juice, beer and pop, but the pop froze and burst in ours. To summarize - yes, we would recommend, definitely a couples resort, everything requested was looked after, tipping was appreciated, please NOT loonies and toonies, they cannot be exchanged in Cuba, take US $1 bills and Canadian $5 and $10 bills ( no rips, staples or bills that have been written on, or mutilated in any way - This is nothing new, every country and island is like this! )Lots of stairs, NO elevators, so if a ground floor is needed please request. Above all, relax, forget work and have fun!

Melia Cayo Coco: Amazing resort

We spent a great week at the CMC from November 8 to 19. This was our fourth visit to this resort and, like the first three times, everything lived up to our expectations.We introduced this resort this week with friends that are experienced travelers to the Caribbean and they loved it as much as we did. The site is really beautiful, the gardens are well maintained and the hotel is exemplary cleanliness. The buffet food is plentiful, tasty and quite varied. No issues with supply or power issues. the food at all the alacarts was fantastic. We are definitely going to return.
