Ocean Coral Spring: Not Worth It – Save Your Money

I stayed here for a week and honestly, this resort is not worth the hype or the money. The place is overcrowded compared to what it can handle — the buffet is tiny for the size of the resort. Expect long lines just to get in, food running out quickly, and staff not refilling dishes. At times they even turned us away because the buffet was “at capacity” and sent us to another restaurant with almost no options. The beach was another huge letdown. Meanwhile, the “Privilege” section has the better side, which basically forces you to pay extra for a half-decent beach. On top of that, the entertainment was disappointing — nothing close to what you’d expect from a resort at this price. Rooms were clean, yes, but that was about the only positive. Staff were often rude, inattentive, and showed clear favoritism. Overall, the resort simply doesn’t match the guest capacity, and the beach and entertainment are a joke. Spend a little more and go somewhere else where you’ll actually enjoy your vacation.

Excellent service from the hotel staff, very clean amenities all around the facility, family friendly and detail oriented, very nice dining options for everyone and great entertainment schedule every night. Overall, very pleasant experience.

El Beso Adults Only at Ocean El Faro: Nice Resort

The resort itself was nice. The service was not really great. The room were not really clean, we had to request to get it cleaned. No fresh towels, that was also requested. The food was also not that great. we got no proper service at the restaurants, we had to wait for our food like 2 hours. Even on buffet we did not get any attention from the servers.

Ocean Blue and Sand: Amazing Resort

Ocean Blue is an excellent resort. The grounds are quite clean, the food is delicious with several restaurant option and variations. The service was great, especially our housekeeping lady, Odalisa and waitors Rafael and young Martin. The pool and entertainment great. I had a fabulous time and would definitely go back.

Ocean El Faro: Wonderful hotel

I had a wonderful vacation with my family. There are many activities for children. The room is spacious and bright. The food is excellent. Everything was always delicious and there was a variety of dishes. The resort area is large, there is room to walk around. The only thing is that we were unable to swim in the ocean because of the big waves and algae. But overall we enjoyed our vacation.

Enjoyed our stay at this resort. Clean good food and friendly staff. Did a great job of cleaning sea weed off beach. Only negative was too many people on beach trying to sell stuff. Seemed to much at times. But overall was a nice trip.

The food was beyond excellent, the rooms were good. However the communication between the hotel staff needs to be much better. The air conditioning stopped working and it took almost 7 hours to get another room. Also when I was switched to another room the air conditioner was not working there either, they staff needs to make sure something works before giving it to the guest. But I would go back to this resort because other factors which are the food, the hotel staff, the weather and overall experience is a 4 out of 5 stars in my opinion.

Ocean El Faro: Awesome Lazy River

It was a quick getaway for my sister and I to just relax for three days. I chose this resort for the lazy river and it was everything I hoped it would be. They do run out of tubes at the resort though so we brought our own. It was so much fun with all the water features along the river and a swim up bar. The beach was nice, lots of seaweed on the beach as it had been stormy when we were there so that's understandable. And it's the ocean so you get what mother nature gives you. The resort is not too large, easy to walk it and well laid out in a logical way. The nicest lobby I've seen in any resort as it was completely enclosed and air conditioned, made it lovely for our last day when waiting for our shuttle. We only ate at the grill beside the pool, hamburgers and hotdogs, it was just okay. All our meals were eaten at the buffet. I enjoyed the variety and thought everything was decent. I love that they have an adults only seating section at the buffet. The a la cartes, many of them are first come, first served, the three that we wanted to try were the ones that required a reservation and we had trouble and couldn't book any. The Japanese, Steakhouse and Italian all need a reservation. The booking app said they were always booked up, and even when I got through to the Japanese, it asked how many but would not let me put in two people, which is how many we were, it would only let me put in just one of us, so we skipped it. The rooms were comfortable, comfy bed, tv worked, always had hot water. Only issues with the room was how hard it was to open and close the balcony door, it took both my sister and I to open or close it, it was that stuck. And the AC in our room knew only two temperatures, freezing or off. It didn't matter if we set it for 18 or 28 degrees Celsius, it would stay locked at it's lowest setting so we had to frequently turn it off to unfreeze our toes. Highlights of our stay were definitely the lazy river, the ice cream stand, Mike's coffee shop with the fancy desserts and bowling (even though the balls were so warped, or the lane) but that made it super funny because everyone did terrible. We loved the arm bands at the resort, instead of the usual plastic bands, this one was a ribbon with a disk of plastic that was also your room key, handy. We would definitely visit again. Now for the few areas that need work, most of the staff speak no English, it is challenging trying to communicate with them, maybe getting a better app for restaurant booking, and the one that really bugged my sister and I...they ask that you don't flush any toilet paper in the toilet, they want is put in the garbage. That is a hot mess and unsanitary. Other than that...go and have a good time.

The hotel was lovely. The food was great. Rooms were nice. Beach was not the best but the pools and lazy river made up for it. Entertainment around the pool was okay but you didn’t feel pressured to join if you didn’t want to. Evening entertainment was poor in the theatre but did have a live band outside which was much better. Had a really good time and would go back

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Decent Stay

This property is great for young families as they have a lot of options for kids & the water rides are something the kids enjoyed to the core. The services by the staff were excellent. The bummer points were the access to the beach as too much weed accumulation created a lot of smell around the area. Secondly, the room we were allotted had a lot of mosquitoes that created allergies on our skins but the staff was kind to clean & free the room from the bugs & insects. El Beso Adults Only at Ocean El Faro: Lots of fun!

Hotel is okay. Not perfect but no major complaints. Food was great, especially the snack bars for lunch. Lots of evening activity. We loved the quiet El Beso lobby and the piano bar. There seems to be a lot of autistic and ADHD folks there. I think because the main lobby is like a museum. It was a very friendly social atmosphere at this resort. Beach was completely unusable, it was peak sargassum season.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Very Underwhelming

The room was clean, however located right beside another resorts sewage station and construction noise. Evening entertainment was very limited and entry level. Food was acceptable but not great. There was more vultures trying to sell their privilege package than staff ensuring you were being looked after-very annoying. Front end customer service was very short and disengaged.

Got terribly sick last 3 days from food poisoning I believe from the fruit at the buffet:( some pools couldn’t find a lounger by 9am All restaurants except Italian a/c barely working and no fans so bring something with you! Lots of sargassum so no beach swimming

Love this resort, excellent layout, nothing too far but spacious. Food was amazing, no prebooking for a la cartes ( except steak and Japanese) entertainment nonstop, entertainment staff and bartenders friendly attentive and talented! Clean modern rooms, beautiful beach. Can’t say enough wonderful things about this place!

El Beso Adults Only at Ocean El Faro: Good resort, could be better, beach needs cleaning

The resort is big and is good for families. The food is mediocre and the resort itself offers a variety of a la carte restaurants, my favourite is Blue Moon. Sakura is overhyped and they don't offer dessert. The cafe is the best, great place to hang out and grab coffee or small snack. Lots of pools and a really fun lazy river for kids and adults. The biggest improvement they should work on is cleaning their beach! It's littered with garbage, cigarettes, bottle caps, etc. And the seaweed!  [... read more] They need to invest in equipment to do a regular daily major clean up. I saw a vehicle mince and chop up the seaweed and spits it back out. No no.. It has so much potential if they clean up the seaweed properly and clear it. Hardly anyone was hanging out at the beach or let alone swimming it in. The staff is friendly and everyone seems to like their job. Rooms are decent, clean and spacious. Until they start cleaning up their beaches and improving their food quality and taste, I will not be returning.

Loved this resort and I’ll go there again but there are a few things that bothered me there. 1.Our room was on the main floor and had a strong mold smell but the good thing is they offered to move me to a different room. 2. The people that have stands in the evening to sell jewelry and stuff were extremely pushy and rude when u don’t buy anything from them. 3. During our 11-day stay, the red flag was up the entire time, and there was no option for a walk along the shore, which we were used to in Punta Cana. We ended up swimming in a nearby small lagoon that doesn’t belong to any hotel. The seaweed is never cleared, and no one maintains it, but it was the only place where you could get into the water and enjoy yourself. After coming back from the beach, another surprise for a five-star hotel—out of two showers, neither was working, so you’re stuck with sand on your feet. One night, water started leaking from the ceiling in our room. Of course, we immediately called to report it, but no one ever showed up. Fortunately, the leak stopped on its own during the night. Overall impression: This is nowhere near a five-star hotel. The service is poor—while you're tipping, everyone is friendly and helpful, but without tips, everything suddenly becomes slow and clumsy. We will not be coming back to this hotel.

The people are so kind and friendly! So much food!!! Beautiful presentation! Lots of free activities in this resort - by the pool during the day, bowling, ping pong, billiards, karaoke, evening shows, dancing etc. Waterpark is for kids only (no teens, no adults) If you want to be close to the buffet, Daisy is where to stay, if you want to be close to the beach, ask for Eden. We picked this resort because of the village vibe and lush grounds. We weren't disappointed. Staff were amazing, rooms comfortable, grounds immaculate. Would have been put off by the Premium membership push, but we knew enough to shut them down and not get pulled in. Focused on all the pluses of the resort instead. Too many to list!

We visited this hotel for the first time and were very impressed with facilities, room size and condition, beach, restaurants, entertainment. We arrived in the middle of the night, around 1 am and had chance to have drinks and food in the restaurant that was open. The entire resort had light under every palm tree. Beautiful resort, extremely clean and well maintained.
