Secrets Tides Punta Cana: Nice Resort

Pros: Nice Beach, great rooms, lots of staff on hand, no problem getting seats at the beach or poolside, great food, gym was great, shows were ok, very quiet when we were there: Cons: regret we didn't have 2 weeks for our holiday

I consider this resort my second home I will come back again for a much longer stay!!! The staff was amazing and lots of daily activities that keep the guests entertained and the Amstar team was very convincing of choosing the best excursions Costa Rica have!!!!

Spent alot of money on our vacation. Celebrating our 20th anniversary. We splurged and got a swim up room. The hotel was a little tired/dated but at least it was clean. The food which I was looking so much forward to was ok. We had to go to into town to get good real Mexican food. Secrets Tides Punta Cana: Highly Recommended

We had an absolutely fabulous time at Secrets Tides. It was gorgeous, classy, and the service was wonderful. The resort just opened in 2024 and it showed - Just beautiful. We upgraded to a swim up room - Well worth it. I highly recommend this resort!

Secrets Papagayo Resort: To small and crowded for secrets

We arrived at this resort on April 4, though we had found a perfect resort. Three day’s later it came crashing down. There was an influx of 150 people, who were rewarded with an all inclusive. This resort is small and everything is centrally located in this area. They did have a quiet pool. Which they wouldn’t play any music at all. Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun: A true 5 star experience

We booked this trip to celebrate a birthday. We had the swim out room and were upgraded to beach front(LOVED THAT) This resort is truly a 5 star experience. The food was amazing The service was exceptional The resort is beautifully and tastefully decorated Everything was so clean The beaches were groomed daily. I have been to many resorts all over the Caribbean and the Mexicans at Maroma have done it right! Secrets Royal Beach: Girls getaway!

SRB is a lovely resort. Everything about it was fantastic. The rooms were spacious. The buffet and a la cartes were amazing. Never had a bad meal. Even though you can’t make reservations we never had any issues getting into any of the a la cartes for 7 women. The staff were great and the resort grounds were always looking lovely. Loved all the pools and the service around them were top notch. All in all it was a great week away and will definitely be returning. Secrets Tides Punta Cana: Amazing resort

It was an amazing trip. The coco coffee bar in the morning, gym with state of the art equipment, delicious buffet for breakfast, lunch & dinner, 3 new pickleball courts, beautiful infinity pools with comfy loungers, beach loungers under palapas, breezy weather so beach great for walking on, we didnt go in for swimming, evening entertainment incredible, lots of a la carte restaurants (we actually preferred the variety at the buffet). Secrets Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: Had a wonderful trip

We were very happy with this resort! Super friendly staff from check in, to restaurants and housekeeping services. The resort is maintained well with staff always somewhere or another cleaning. We especially loved the variety of food and top shelf alcohol available at the Rosewood and snacks at the preferred club. We cannot wait to come back!

Secrets Royal Beach: Secrets April'24

Secrets Royal Beach is top notch. Our group of 7 enjoyed all the amenities including our rooms, the bars, coffee shop in the lobby, stores, entertainment, pools & restaurants are great. Would go there again.

This resort checked all the boxes for our group of 7 women. Adults only, close to the airport, beautiful beach, well appointed quiet rooms, very good food & restaurant choices, great daytime & nighttime entertainment. I could go on & on. You won’t be disappointed!!

The resort is well maintained, the staff are excellent, and the food is very good. There are three pools: very busy, busy and quiet. Each pool and building has its own concierge to ensure all your wants and needs are taken care. We have been to several Secrets, but enjoyed this location the best. This was our third visit.

Secrets Tides Punta Cana: Incredible Resort

This newest resort is everything you expect on a vacation. The resort is beautiful and so well planned out with structural accommodation. The staff are such beautiful people that make you feel like family. The restaurants are wonderful and the buffet is everything one needs. The gym is excellent and the young man was so welcoming and personal. He made us feel like we were home. And loved the pickle ball courts as so well known in our home town. Secrets Tides Punta Cana: Fabulous Resort

Great rooms and an amazing location (all clean and well cared for) and attentive staff in all areas- shout out to Sandy!! Food at the restaurants, buffet and coffee shop was delicious! A variety of activities and entertainment to choose from! Overall a great 10 days!!

Secrets Huatulco: Beautiful quiet resort

The resort was beautiful and the grounds were always looked after. The pools were amazing and we had a swim out that we used a lot with a floatie. The service was incredible and the people are extremely friendly, hospitable and very appreciative. I can’t say enough about how accommodating they were. The food was very good but Castaways was closed most of the time due to private events. This was frustrating for people who were preferred as they couldnt make use of that upgrade. Preferred is defin [... read more]itely not worth it at this resort. The Preferred lounge had snacks but they were left uncovered and were not very good and we aren’t picky eaters! However, we enjoyed the other restaurants, especially the French and Italian. We found having water shoes was essential to walk down and along the beach since the sand was extremely coarse and very hot. The water was rough with a strong undertow but once you got in further, it was very refreshing. We came to this resort knowing this about the beach but wanted to try the Pacific Ocean and avoid any seaweed. However, next time we will go to a resort that has the soft white sand and turquoise waters and risk having some seaweed present. We got a local taxi to take us into La Crucecita, the closest town that has the famous church. We wanted to buy a few souvenirs and felt safe the whole time but didn’t like how everyone pressured us to see their shop and buy something. I guess it goes with the territory and being a slow time of year for them, they feel the pressure too. Overall it was a beautiful, peacefult resort. By 11pm everything was quiet and it was just what we wanted to get away and relax.

Secrets St. Martin: Terrible Resort !!

The resort is scheduled to be closed at the end of April for renovations so they let thing go. We had no knowledge of this nor did the other guests -- The Pool was green and not working they advertise this to be the biggest Infinity pool in the Caribbean what a JOKE !!- Really sad it was slimy and green full with algae !! They where running out of inventory ( Alcohol and Food ) Only half the staff where working if that, But I must say the staff that where working did their best to keep the g [... read more]uests happy it was very difficult for them! Restaurants where limited and on a Saturday nite only the buffet was available!! Many guests had a Big cockroach infestation in their rooms!! We have been to all the couples Resorts and a handful of the Sandals resorts thinking we would have a similar experience boy where we wrong! - Secrets St Martin does not even come close to them!! My advise save your money do not go!!

Secrets Cap Cana: BETTER THAN EXPECTIED!!!!

Just returned from a fabulous week at Secrets Cap Cana (March 25-April 1). Have to say it was better than I read in reviews!!! From the moment of arrival to departure, all was wonderful. Great layout of facilities, clean everywhere - resort, beach, rooms, restaurants. Enjoyed the fact that you had the option to outdoor dine at ALL restaurants.....breakfast, lunch and dinner! The rooms are large, spacious and always kept clean...thank you to all housekeeping staff! Every restaurant and buffet staff were friendly and most attentive. Special shout out to Hostesses Keila and Jolain at the Seaside Lunch Grill. The ladies remembered me from day 1 and were professional, kind and and friendly! Also, my friendly waiter, Joel who also was very helpful at the French restaurant at night! and shout out to Johann and Yasmin at the Italian Restaurant. They made my dining experiences most special! Really have to say all staff were great! The breakfast buffet was very extensive! Includes plenty of options for everyone and well prepared! Even had an Eggs Benedict station and Motts Clamato juice for Ceasars!!! The hostesses at breakfast buffet were very helpful too as well as all wait staff. ALWAYS, staff would address you as "Mr. or Mrs." then your last name as there were place cards on your table when seated that noted your last name. Just gave it that little extra personal touch! Well done! The beach, well what can I say! BEAUTIFUL and CLEAN!!!! nice that there is some sort of break wall out aways which allows for swimming without a lot of waves or currents! Excellent stretch for walking! Lots of chairs and covered palapas and always plenty of towels to grab. The beach service was better than ever had! Eribal, my waitress was fabulous on all levels! She even had a white flag system for her guests to wave if service was required! Always a kind friendly lady and excellent service...THANK YOU!!!! No wristbands at this resort! Most days there was some sort of lunch cooking on the beach...but if you wanted restaurant food, they would take your order and bring to you directly on the beach! Drinks well poured and top shelf liquors. Always entertainment in afternoon and evenings around the resort in various areas. Upon arrival, after check in, I was assigned a butler for the week...a kind helpful gentleman named Alexander. He was of great assistance! from any question or concern, 24/7....he was available to assist! All was taken care of by him! I would receive a message each day giving me information for the day and he would be around to see me at least once daily! A very knowledgeable, professional, friendly gentleman!! A huge THANK YOU Alexander and wish you continued success at Secrets! I celebrated my birthday while away and Alexander along with other staff made it a happy memorable day....thanks again to all staff. Really can't complain about a thing!! I highly recommend this resort. As someone who has travelled for decades visited many countries and resorts, I can say this is a new favorite and plan to return again!

Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun: Not so good resort

This resort has a bad location near a garbage facility. Sometimes there is a bad smell of burnt garbage or smoke all over the resort. Also, the food is not of the best quality. Some dishes are good, but some food is bad due to the fast food components that they use in preparation (sauces, condiments, not real cream, cooking oils, not real yogurt and vegan milks). Secrets St James: Second visit to Secrets St James

We visited Secrets St James in 2023, and loved it so much, we decided to return in 2024. However, the rooms and bathrooms are showing their age and are very much in need of a refresh. The room definitely did not feel 4.5-5-star. The bathroom appeared to have many touchups of paint, waterproof seal etc but very poorly done. The issue of people getting up at 6am to “save” chairs at the beach is a BIG problem that I hope the hotel will address by at least installing more umbrellas so half the gues [... read more]ts aren’t forced to “bake” daily in direct sunlight. The hotel was nowhere near capacity and there weren’t enough umbrellas to sit under. In addition, many people would save a chair but didn’t return to use it. Although this was happening when we visited last year, I don’t recall it being as big of a problem as this year. The beach is calm & lovely and there are lots of activities at the main pool daily. Preferred Club pools are quieter. Guests should be reminded to not disturb what little wildlife there is at the beach - one guest took a starfish out of the water & left it on the sand for about 30 minutes, until she was done taking photos with it and then put it back. Starfish will die within a few minutes of being removed from water so that one likely didn’t survive. The food was good; there were more than enough options so you could always get a decent meal The dinner portions are small so you have to order a couple of appetizers. The Jamaican & Mexican restaurants were on a rotating schedule so only one was open at a time. We had at least 30 minute waits to get into the restaurants but that wasn’t a big inconvenience to us. Food at the Jamaican restaurant was excellent. Breakfast and lunch buffets were great, including lots of salad options for lunch. We ordered room service a few times (lunch & dinner) which was very good, always delivered hot and the portions were larger than what we got at the restaurants. The hotel property itself, gardens, beach etc were beautiful & very well maintained. The majority of staff we encountered were courteous and very helpful. Hyatt is currently promoting “Sip, Savor & See” - if you aren’t in Preferred Club, it allows you to visit and enjoy the Breathless resort for an evening. Breathless is normally only accessible to Preferred Club guests. Overall a very nice, quiet stay but the dated rooms and the lack of umbrellas on the beach, in relation to the cost of our stay, would likely cause me to visit a different adults-only resort for my next vacation. In fairness, this is a very nice resort but if you’re looking for a 4.5-5 star, this resort is slightly below that, in my opinion.
