Melia Trinidad Peninsula: Love this resort

Fabulous Hotel and Layout. Swim ups are amazing here, staff is some of the best. Food here was good for Cuba compared to a lot of the resorts. No shortage of water etc. Yes the power does go out but the generator kicked it quickly every time so no need to worry. For Cuba the beach directly on the hotel is rocky. you can go to the left of the hotel and there is a man made beach. It is a very laid back style but one of my favourites. I did travel solo on this one and was extremly comfortable here. The bus ride is very long if you fly into Santa Clara but half the time if your flight goes to Cienfiegos

Sol Rio de Luna y Mares: Over all Amazing! No complaints!

The Hotel is super clean and well maintained regardless that it is starting to show its age. Certain areas would need a refresher but overall not an issue. The ocean view & beach; just paradise! The staff is attentive and the service is excellent. I recommend & would return anytime!!

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Quiet resort

The speciality dinners were great. Resort was very quiet, might be time of year-October. Food was okay. Only disappointing thing was the drinks, not much variety, basically just rum. We never received any replacement bathroom towels all week even though we asked for them everyday. Even the rum drinks were not great. Staff very friendly.

Melia Varadero: Wonderful resort

Everything was great. Keeping in mind this is Cuba, we couldn’t have asked for more. Resort staff were all amazing, Gilberto was extremely helpful from the moment we arrived. Ended up being upgraded to a room on the Level because of maintenance issues in our original room. No complaints at all. Pool and beach are nice and close so you can switch from pool to ocean all day. Will be returning!

Once again we were very impressed with everything and everyone at the Sol Caribe Beach Varadero. Before even arriving Yolanda and her team (Ismary, Laritza, Annie, Grisel) had everything ready for our arrival...early check in, our 3 rooms close to each other and a la carte reservations made. A special thank you to Lily who got us checked in quickly so that we could start enjoying everything about this great hotel right away. She went out of their way to make us feel back at home. The animation team is phenomenal. Their energy is infectious from morning until evening. Whether it was yoga on the beach, aqua aerobics, beach volleyball, sports in the pool and dancing by the pool they managed to engage guests of all ages without being intrusive. Nights brought even more magic, talented shows, live music, themed events that were fun but never forced. They clearly care about what they do, and it shows. Special thank you to Candy, Yansey, Jonathan and DJ Jose the time you spent with us will not be forgotten. Bar staff deserve a standing ovation. We started every morning with a delicious iced latte made by Adel or Yoslady at coffee corner, best start to your day and always made with special touch and smile. Han and Yoilan took care of us everyday at the pool and Addier and Otto at the beach bar. They always remembered what we liked to drink and didn't let our cups go empty. Drinks were always served with a smile, and quick service so you never have to wait long. Snack Bar is a great stop for lunch or a snack if you didn't want to go to the buffet, offering ham and cheese, hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken sandwiches and fries Julio, Greter and Janet were great and remembered what we liked. The grounds are immaculate. Lush landscaping, manicured flower beds, and plenty of shady spots to enjoy the view. The pools sparkle and are cleaned daily. Common areas smell fresh. Rooms are spotless—cleaned every day, with fresh linens, towels, and thoughtful attention to detail. Without hesitation I will return the Sol Caribe Beach Varadero this is a 5 star hotel/service in my opinion. I can't wait to return for another great experience

I booked my trip to this resort via Tripcentral and as usual Tripcentral is excellent in customer service. Resort: it was a solid resort. Beautiful Food: repetitive but have options to go a la carte even in low season Show at Night: needs improvements. Boring .other resorts in cuba engage the guests to dance Beach: tons of seaweeds. Not comparable to santa maria and cayo cocos clean beaches Staff: friendly and not mean to the stray cats My overall rating: 7/10

Melia Las Antillas: Needs a big makeover !

Beach is awesome ! but the rest leaves a lot to be desired, For three days no working elevator so up the stairs to the fifth floor ! No vodka and very low end rum. The bathtub was completely stained with what I don't know. This used to be a nice place, but now it;s been abandoned and neglected !

Sol Palmeras: Fantastic Resort

Just returned from my 3rd trip to my second home, Sol Palmeras. As always a pleasure to return. Staff was welcoming when checking in. Lobby had more areas to relax while enjoying entertainment in the evening. Amazing various singers and musicians. Night time shows have been refreshed and also amazing. You can see the dedication by the performers. Enjoyed daytime entertainment at the beach and at the pool. Stayed in the bungalows as usual and everything was clean and bed’s comfortable. The grou [... read more]nds are constantly maintained and the new bar area off of the beach was a great addition. Great place to have a drink in the evening and converse with friends. Buffet had various options during all meals. Chicken, beef and various seafood available. Fabulous soups available each day. Enjoyed a lunch at the snack bar, chicken sandwich with fries. Ala-cart Chinese and Tex Mex were also enjoyed. Only attended those two as we were happy with the buffet and didn’t want to have to go for dinner at a certain time as we were enjoying ourselves at the pool and beach. For myself the best part was seeing and spending time together with all of great friends (family) made with the staff throughout the year. ( Odarmis, Mario, Caridad, Julio, yahimy, Idelmis and many more) I surprised them with this visit, as I usually don’t come there in September. All showed me that the love we have is both ways. Can’t wait to return in November!

While the grounds and pools are very nice the rooms are outdated and old.Only 2 small elevetors and not working all the time.It wort to upgrade the stay at level side.The hotel is right on the beach and it's easy to get around. We LOVE Sol Palmeras and Cuba! Would go every month if we could ?. Staff are our friends, food is wonderful and plentiful, entertainment is great, ocean is amazing! No complaints whatsoever!! Thankyou ?❤️

Melia Costa Rey: Spotlessly clean

The hotel was kept spotless, the staff at the buffet restaurant are just amazing. The beach was cleaned from seaweed everyday in the morning before eight o’clock. To top it all off we had great weather

Melia Buenavista: Wonderful resort

Long drive to get there, but well worth it. Staff is amazing and always try to be helpful any way possible. Grounds are kept clean. Restaurants are a la carte and they try their best to keep food choices different every day. Did have an issue every day with key card not working in door for room entry. Twice technician came to fix. Other times we had key card re-programmed at front desk. Nice variety with three different beaches. Melia Varadero: Above average hotel

Layout of the hotel is good. The staff and the service are good. Food is below average. Beach is very good. No hot water for two days. Air condition gave trouble. The fixed it. No coffee machine. Only a kettle, with no coffee supply. The whole hotel has no black tea.

Melia Costa Rey: Just wonderful! A must do

We very much enjoyed all that they offered! We did level up and found it was worth every penny. We did enjoy the restaurants and the beach wow the beach! So clean no rocks! Wonderful staff! We are already planning our return!

Resort in general is attractive, but the customer service needs some Improvements this was our second time there, yet we received NO welcome back, instead we had a really difficult time and suffered disappointment with the service for Basic thing live Bath towels , clean towels took 2 days to come to us even after we called the 700 # to ask for them, I even walked over and ask in person. wow , when they came was 4.00 PM and we had booked a Tour for 4.45 PM we had to use damp Beach tow [... read more]els in order to bath before going on the tour. Next was the Mosquitoes in the Rooms , then the Buffet food displayed cakes Breads all were infested with Flies big black flies, so Bad and 2 of our friends got sick in bed for 2 days with Diarrhea . last year they had Transport from building to Restaurants or Beach or Pools this time NONE that is an Adult Resort and we are all Seniors with some type of operation to Knee or Hip replacement and walking long was a problem when we complained the Nexis agent reported the matter then they moved us because the reason for that trip was a Birthday and a 65th Wedding Anniversary..... That I did not expect to deal with so many difficulties and the Stress that it created, we could not wait for the 7th day to leave there yet No one offered any Apology for any of the Hardships ..... will we go back there again or recommend our family and friends ...NO

Sol Palmeras: Just like Family

This is our 2nd visit to Sol in 6 months and it won’t be our last. We found the resort to be great. The buffet and ala carte are good and plenty of good food. It’s clean and the rooms are spacious and updated. All the staff are wonderful and always ready to help if needed. The beach is always clean and plenty of loungers for everyone. The 2 pools are lovely as well, also a kiddie pool. There is a play area for the kids and it’s great too. If you enjoy ice coffee by all means visit the coffee bar and they will make you a really tasty one. We have made friends with staff and to us they are family. Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Site exceptionnel

J’ai voyagé du 24 septembre au 1 octobre 2025. Le site est agé mais bien entretenu. Le personnel toujours comme on les connais très serviable. Les piscines impeccable le terrassement également. Le site est très étendu mais l’accès à la plage est facile 1 à 2 minutes de marches.

September 16-30, 2025. The flight was smooth. I had to pay $55 for checked baggage, but only once. Baggage return from Cuba was free. The charter flight to the hotel took less than 90 minutes on a new, comfortable bus. I was assigned a room in which everything worked except the air conditioning. I insisted on being moved to another room. This one did work, but I had to manually turn it on and off repeatedly. The hotel and room 1024 were clean and generally in good condition. The food exce [... read more]eded my expectations, but there were still some shortcomings. They had eggs, bread, butter, cheese, edible sausages, pork, chicken, and a little fruit. No tomatoes or greens. For Cuba, this is definitely a four-star meal. Yesterday's compositions were limited. The yogurt and juice seemed to have been diluted with tap water. I've had food poisoning for the past four days. The snack bar was good. The weather was fine the entire trip, but it rained for the last four days. The temperature was 24/32°C. The water was very warm, 28-30°C. The beach is good, 5 out of 5. The bottom is a bit steep. If you can't swim, be careful. Beach shoes are not necessary. There are no rip currents. Coral reefs are within a 1-1.5 km radius. The loud noise from the entertainment wasn't too loud. The staff was busy with their work, and the results were visible.
