Great beach, poor hotel

Hotel rooms old and tired, doors don't fit tight, letting bugs in at night. No elevators, service not consistent -Sunday, hardly any staff or service, by Wednesday more staff around. Poor food handling. Entertainment was excellent

Great time

This is r second time at tryp and we will be going back again next year. The food was great the weather was the best and overall we had the most relaxing holiday. We could have anticipated. The staff was aussem Ricardo at the small pool bar was the best. Can,t wait to go again.

Excellent

This hotel was very good. The food was very good. The people that worked there were exceptionally helpful and very friendly. We had the most fabulous time there and I will definitely go back there again.

Best plaće in Cuba!

Beach is perfect, staff is wonderful. Food is good and rooms are simple but ok. I have been there several times already and it always feel like going back to distant family. Will be going again guaranteed :)

Nice place to go see...

Very nice resort. The quiet pool area is great... the beach wonderful. your should look into get a little food area aroung the quiet pool for lunch time it was about the only think missing in that area. the staff is super in all areas. Really enjoyed William and Joaquin in the buffet,.

SECOND VISIT AND NOT DISAPPOINTED

March 22 - 29, 2015, my second visit to this all inclusive 4 star hotel. Overall it was a great vacation, the standard room had a nice view of the ocean, the food was fantastic, so much variety and very fresh. From Sushi and Sashimi, to the pasta station, the pizza station,stir fries, fresh chicken, pork, beef that was cooked to your specifications, some of the local foods, fresh salads, fruits and vegetables. The beach was stunning, with plenty of shade and lounges for everyone. Daily activities were mainly around the pools, and a good time was had by all. The staff of course made this vacation a memorable one, they are always ready to help you at any time of the day or night. Heard many comments from other vacationers about the staff, and from first hand experience, they truly care to make your vacation perfect. Being my second visit the hotel had a special lunch for us, and I was surprised at how many people were there at this luncheon. From all the resorts I visited, this one stands out with visitors coming back time and time again. The nightly shows were unbelievably excellent, from the Michael Jackson, the regular nightly shows, and to the aquatic night performance. These performers are a huge part of the vacation experience, they are dedicated to bring the best possible show every night, extremely talented young people that always had a smile on or off stage. In saying all this, there is room for improvement, which I'm happy to say they are actually making the changes. The air conditioner could have been a bit cooler, but other wise I have no other complaints, and expect to return within 6 months again.

Nice resort

everything good except the rooms, only reason we stayed in them was because we were with a group that had children, we all wanted to stay together! I tried sleeping with one eye open, was ok for first while, then exhausted ,lol

Excellent Value!

Excellent value for what we paid. Beach is amazing! Very old but nice resort, rooms were clean and comfortable. Food was good, lots of fresh fish and meats every day. Restaurant at the beach has good food and good service. Would go back again!

3rd time at the Tryp and it never disappoints.

Cayo Coco is my favourite area in Cuba. The Tryp has the best food, great variety. The people are wonderful. The hotel is set up for beautiful views and lovely breezes. Rooms are tired but clean and any problems are quickly checked out.

Great resort!

Tryp Cayo Coco is a great place to go for a nice relaxing holiday with family or friends. The rooms area bit dated, although, throughout our stay they gave us a floor lamp, new curtains, a kettle and an iron & ironing board. So they are doing things as the items become available. The service of their staff is second to none, and always aim to please you!

Amazing resort

My husband and I just returned from our 11 nights vacation in Tryp hotel, Cayo Coco, Cuba. This was our 3rd time in Tryp and we will go there again. This place is a resort for every age. There is always something to do and the staff makes sure that you are never bored. The management is very helpful and try to accommodate you in every situation. T [... read more]he variety of food is more then you can ask for. Some people complain but we would like to know what they eat at home???? LOL ..... The rooms are not top luxury but you have everything that you need and let me tell you matrasses are tops and some people said the same. Good bed to sleep in when you are on the vacation is pure pleasure. The staff is very friendly and we made few friends there over the time spent there. We are looking forward to go back again.

Run Down

The resort is very run down, needs a lot of TLC. The food is very bland and tasteless. The people who work there are great. I would not go back. The rooms are run down lots of mold, the bathtub looks like it has never seen a scrub brush and by the way we saw a cockroach in the buffet area.

Great place to have a much needed rest

This is our second stay at Tryp this time we stayed in a ocean view room, it was great unobstructed view of the ocean. The room keeping was good, food was better than other places we have stayed in Cuba. When we first arrived we had our rooms moved due to there not being a door on the washroom. Had no problem at all getting them to move us. There was 2 couples we went down with and met my son and his girl down there a couple days after we landed due to them arriving from Manitoba. All couples we [... read more]re in the same section, my son went on a couple day trips (safari @ speed boat driving) he thought it was great. Plan on going again in Oct.

Tired hotel but terrific!

The Tryp Hotel in Cayo Coco may seem a bit tired. Actually, the physical accommodations are tired. But the staff. They are anything but tired. We experienced everything we had hoped for during our one week stay: beautiful sunshine, groomed white beaches, excellent service from those who cleaned our room, served our drinks (we preferred to stay with buffet style), swept sand off of our beach lounge chairs, entertainers, bartenders to even grounds keepers who always smiled and offered up an 'Ola.'

Could have been much bettter

The beach is beautiful. The resort is in desperate need of a facelift. DO NOT LET THEM PUT YOU IN BUILDING 14 - IT DOES NOT HAVE ANY HOT WATER. The food was ok, but the biggest issue is the people who work there. Everyone is unpleasant, with one exception, Roberto the bartender in the lobby bar - great guy. Other than that there's not much to say, it was all just ok.

Tryp Cayo Coco

Not at all good. Restaurant food was not what we read on menu service was terrible! It was my birthday not even a wish. After my husband complain twice to lobby & customer service then they did a cake and gave me a champaign bottle that I left for the maid.We had no hot water after the third day they fixed. Again because we complained.The weather was beautiful and beach. We gave 3 hundred dollars for tips but we shouldn't off that was our call.

Good Food, Good Beach, Good People

The hotel it's self need to be upgraded. The rooms are quite old but still comfortable. We don't spend much time in our room so that didn't bother us. We had ocean and were only 200 feet off the beach. It was the best food I have had and this was my third trip to Cuba. The workers and travelers were awesome and a lot of people this was their third and fourth time back. If you are a beach bum you will love this resort.

the beach was amazing .you wont find a better beach anywhere . the bars had excellent service and great drinks . Cubans are the best . very grateful for any tips given . hotel and restaurant service was the best . the only issue with this place was the rooms . they need a complete makeover. hot water was scarce . hot water 3 days out of seven .the food was not very good . breakfast was very good . coffee was terrible . pools where not heated ,very cold water .if i went back it would be for the b [... read more]each for the relaxation . very quite place . i will wait to go back when they do a makeover of rooms and food..Cuba is still my favorite place to visit .

Had a great time

Just got back from Tryp Cayo coco We stayed for two weeks We had a great vacation the food in the specialty restaurants very very good The beach was really beautiful The only thing I think would help this resort is to update the rooms The staff are friendly Would definitely recommend this for the price

Older resort needing repairs

NO hot water the whole time we there! got the run around when it would be fixed. sent to another room to shower and the washroom never cleaned after the persons that used it before. dirty towels on the floor and in the tub . 2 times the water was luke warm and no pressure.
