Great resort for price

Large resort, guests have access to many resorts that are all connected. Theres lots of walking and stairs which was nice for our group to get to explore. There are shuttles as well though. Lots of great pools, a long stretch of beach and lots of options for food. We upgraded our room to a garden suite and it was gorgeous, especially compared to the rest in our group. It was $100 more and included a VIP wristband, but that really only got you access to one more section, but included free WiFi th [... read more]ere and sushi bar... The rest of the VIP beaches are just for the time shares. Still recommend

Overall, nice place

The resort is massive. Be prepared for lots of walking. You have access to multiple restaurants you can book reservations with. The main buffet at the Pearl is pretty basic, not the best food, but serves it’s purpose. Our room was cleaned every day, and the staff was very polite and friendly. Overall we had a nice experience. Not sure if we would necessarily go again to this resort, but don’t let that deter you.

Consider booking elsewhere

This resort is advertised as a 4 star which would be better clarified as a 3 star at most. Grounds: nicely maintained, attractive landscaping, very busy on internal roads as it is a very large resort Rooms: clean rooms but older decor, comfortable beds, aside from some hangers almost no clothing storage, AC worked well, bathroom ok, but had a ceiling leak the entire week Food: the food was generally quite bad (not just for the Dominican, but overall really quite bad), very limited selection  [... read more]at buffets, no bacon at breakfast, a la cartes were much better Service: excellent customer service overall, at buffet/restaurants, concierge etc. Hierarchy: there are many exclusive areas on the resort with multiple levels of "VIP" and various timeshare properties. Many restaurants, bars, beaches and other areas are off limits to normal people booking through an all inclusive package. The atmosphere this creates is confusing and irritating. There is constant promotion of the nicer parts of the resort and the better things included in VIP which makes the normal booking package seem thin, restrictive and cheap. Beach and pools: beach area was nice, but loungers separated from the beach by a breakwall, pools were overall nice and cleaned daily Internet and safe: both cost extra If you manage your expectations and thoroughly read the reviews, you will likely have a good time, but this does not compare to other 4 star resorts in the Caribbean

Amazing time !

So much to do, so many pools restaurant options and more ! Staff is so friendly ! Never in long lineups or crowded areas. My second time and enjoy it hugely ! Beautiful scenery and rooms, endless opportunities for activities

CONFRESSI a “NO GO”

This resort is is suffering. The rooms are dirty, leaky toilets and a smell of rotting sewage is in the air .Customer service is very poor...they just don’t care or listen. Several of us had to be moved to different rooms more than once. Old,worn and dirty . DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ,,,

Not so great right nowq

This could be a great hotel. It is 3 large resorts linked together on a very big property with lots of restaurants, lots of bars, lots of gardens and entertainment every night. Unfortunately, the management is spending most of their time and money on building and marketing new timeshare homes and condos. The regular rooms (not the timeshare rooms) are quite run down and in need of a lot of repair. We had to switch rooms 4 times during our 1 week stay! The first room had water leaking through th [... read more]e bathroom ceiling from the toilet above it, the second room was broken in to through the patio door (the balconies join together so it is easy to get from one room to another) the third room had no hot water for 3 days. Everyone we spoke with had been moved to another room at least once but many had been moved 2 or 3 times. They were moving guests from one bad room to another. The staff are so worn down and miserable, I felt terrible for them. I'm sure that I would feel that way too if I had to deal with the number of complaints they did. On our flight back, we learned that many of the guests were sick for 2 or 3 days. They felt it was food poisoning which is possible as the food at the buffets was barely warm, never hot. Perhaps they didn't get it to a high enough temperature to kill off any bacteria? Luckily we did not have any problems with the food. I hate to complain, but people should be aware of just how bad this resort is right now. Hopefully they will put some time and money into the much needed repairs this summer, but right now I would not recommend anyone to go here. Vacation time is valuable and when you have to pack up your things and change rooms 4 times in one week, it doesn't leave much time to relax or do much of anything.

Amazing grounds

The grounds and public areas of this hotel are beautiful. Not recommended for those with mobility issues. Buffets could improve food quality. A la cartes very good. Enjoyed a well equipped gym. Beat titular beach.

All that you can ask for and more!

This place was awesome! Lots to do and see. Food was great. Rooms were clean and spacious. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Spa was spectacular. Welcome party and VIP party were both incredible!!! I would definitely go back, there is a ton of things to do and see on this resort. You could keep yourself amused for several weeks.

No complaints here!

Each and every staff I interacted with were friendly and greeted us with a smile, whether it was house keeping, grounds staff or restaurant personnel. The food was great, never had a bad meal and clean drinking water was always readily available. The diversity of food options was incredible. Where our room was had a pool that was quiet, secluded and essentially private with soothing music in the background. The room was clean, beds comfy and cute patio. There was entertainment every night, with one night tribute to Michael Jackson! Don't miss out on the Sunday welcome party, it was pure insanity in terms of entertainment, food and fire works! Fabulous Vacation!

We just returned from our 7 day vacation at Cofresi Palm Beach Resort, and I can highly recommend this resort. From the moment we arrived to the day of departure, we received the highest standard of service from a remarkable team of employees at the resort. Everyone was attentive, friendly, eager to please and to help. The food was outstanding with many a la carte restaurants to choose from. Indian, Seafood, Mexican and many more. The resort, the many pools and all buildings and grounds are well kept. Beautiful flowers abound at every corner. No garbage laying about. We were always greeted with a smile and a Hola! The Cofresi is connected to The Tropical and the Lifestyle Resort, and as a guest of Cofresi, you can enjoy the amenities at these two resorts as well. Cofresi, The Tropical, and The Lifestyle Resort make this resort quite large, but there is always a bus shuttle or a friendly golf cart driver that comes by to give you a lift. Beware of "timeshare" or "membership" pitch. As with any resort, they will approach you quite quickly after you arrive with the offer of a tour of the resort only to end up with a sales pitch! The beach is lovely but we found the water a bit rough. Would be great for surfing enthusiasts! All in all, one of the best resorts I have been to! The Activation Team is remarkable. Kudos to "Skinny Boy", "Black Diamond", and many more for making our holiday the best!! We would have no hesitation in returning to this resort.

Wonderful Time at Cofresi

Had an amazing vacation at Cofresi Resort and Spa. Loved the beach and beautiful pools. Cannot say enough about the food at the al a cartes. Really enjoyed the Mexican and Italian restaurants. Booking the junior suites is advised, we stayed in the standard rooms which are very basic, but we are never in our room so unimportant to us. Drawback of hotel is the very aggressive time share people but just be firm and say no. They will try to tell you that they are giving you a tour but they dri [... read more]ve you right to the hard sell meeting centre. Also hotel charges $200 if you lose your wrist band and as you would know it, my husband lost his in the ocean. Spent most of our final day trying to find it. In all years of travelling never have had this happen.

Extremely nice resort!

Above average resort just a bit too much walking between the rooms and the beach and restaurants.The food was very good and the rooms were above average and very clean. The shows at night were a lot of fun. The staff was friendly and well trained in customer service.

Paradise!!

From the moment we got to Cofresi Palm it was like stepping into paradise. The resort is beautiful and so big! Food is really good, but not a lot of late night snack options. Staff and party staff is awesome. We had so much fun. When we checked in our room was decorated with balloons everywhere because we were celebrating a birthday! I would definitely go back!

One of the nicest places we been

what made this hotel so good was the staff. Such friendly and polite staff. They constantly went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of. The resort had a lot to offer, and was very clean The worst thing there were the buffet restaurants. No variety and basically seem breakfast and lunches every day , with very little fruit available. The a la carte restaurants were extremely good though. we would certainly go back there again.

Disappointed

Came second time and felt the difference in service, room with only one broken chair, many small and not small problems with bathtub, light, noise air conditioning, bad smell and insects . But the most disappointing thing that when we arrived at 10 PM we could not find any opened restaurant or snack bar and went to sleep hungry and nobody cared about us.

Good Resort

All in all we had a great time first I will start with the good and then with the bad. The hotel rooms were lovely. It took 35 minutes to get hot water but no big deal. The bed was super comfy and they stocked our fridge with alcohol and water the first night The food was quite tasty but before coming I thought we would have multiple access to restaurants which wasn't the case. HUGE shout out to the boys of the animation team - skinny boy, superman, Julio nice, chufly, cocote. Also Johnson from the seapro divers. These boys were constantly there for us and were extremely kind. Lastly, thank you to the doctor on site. Unfortunately I got very sick our last day and was rushed to the hospital. The care I received at the resort and hospital was amazing The resort is absolutely beautiful The only complaint I have is the timeshares. We were constantly harassed by staff members on golf. DO NOT GET IN THEM. It is a total scam. They tell you they are taking you on a "tour" and bring you all around to the villas and mansions etc, then they sit you down and constantly pressure you to rent one or buy a timeshare. They are super persistent and you have to be very firm. On the second day they came and knocked on our door and told us they had a gift for us..then took us off resort wayyyy far away and did the same thing. Then we had to wait in the hot sun for an hour before they took us back. We were furious. The constant harassment needs to stop because sooner or later you are going to loose service. Anyways all in all we had a good time and would reccomend the resort to our friends. Get rid of the harassment and you will see alot more people come to your resort

Some good. Some bad.

Resort was very clean however my room was leaking water from the bathroom ceiling. Some people were friendly and some were not. We were harassed a lot by the employees to join their “VIP Members group” which was annoying but all in all we had a good time.

Great staff, beautiful resort. Will visit again

We went for a one week all inclusive vacation late July/early August. First I'd like to thank the staff for being so kind and hospitable. They are responsible for making this trip a fantastic experience. The resort itself had more than enough pools and a huge beach area. Beautiful Resort

This rrsort is well maintained and beautifully kept. Very clean and great night entertainment with shows everynight. Beautiful beaches and the food is delicious with a great variety. The only draw back is the staff that try to get you to buy the membership in order to partake the vip sections of the resort and the fact that you must be a member to travel here as a vip. Some of the staff were pushy and then acted bratty for not going on the tour. I experienced both. I choose not to go on the t [... read more]our and then later on in the week I took the tour. Fantastic villas etc. However how they do business is not up front nor do they inform you professionally on a business level. They arr looking for you to invest your money and yet they do this very unprofessionally and they do not provide real answers nor real paperwork. Noteworthy Tidbits

This hotel was recommended by a very good friend who has been to the Lifestyle Resort 5 times. Also, her parents come twice a year and stay at The Tropical. We stayed at Cofresi due to the rooms being more modern and updated. Now that I have had the experience of being at this resort, I would personally chose The Tropical as there are less stairs and booking automatically comes with VIP Beach access (free WiFi). Loved it!!!! The entire resort is beautiful. Cofresi does have a lot of stairs yet i found it okay as i love walking and didn't mind the exercise. They have the best pools. The food was okay too. Most of the staff were friendly and tried to help whenever needed. I recommend purchasing the WiFi for the week - it was well worth it. Great resort overall!
