Great Hotel

A lovely resort. Not too big so everything very close. Pool is wonderful with sloping entry which makes it very easy for children and people with disabilities to enter. Staff very attentive and followed through quickly on any requests. Great sandy beach but water a little murky and quite a lot of garbage floating in it - sea very warm. Enjoyed long walks along the beach early in the morning, before it got too hot.

Great Week Away!!

We arrived at Be Live Collection Marien on Sunday November 25th for a one-week stay. The resort is very lovely with an amazing view of the Mount Isabel de Torres. Beautiful grounds and a large pool. The Entertainment Team make this resort. They are all very easy to hang with and enjoy the daily crazy games including darts and ring toss as well as crazy water games. We upgraded to the Superior Deluxe Room with Jacuzzi tub and free Wi-Fi. The room was spacious with a great bed and pillows, a [... read more]long with a futon-type couch and a good variety of television channels in Spanish and English. The food was great in the buffet including daily fresh-made donuts and churros (for breakfast), a good variety of lunch and dinner items!!! The ala carte restaurants are amazing. We attended each of the 3 and really, really enjoyed the Brazilian with its variety of grill meats and the Mexican was AMAZING. We will be back again next year!!!

Pleasant resort

We are pleased to agree with all the excellent reviews about this resort. With the great food, clean facilities and friendly staff it was hard not to enjoy everything about this place. We did not partake in the night life most evenings due to fatigue so can't comment on it however the daytime entertainers were very professional in keeping people amused. The ocean was not appealing for swimming however we knew that beforehand so were not disappointed. I wouldn’t call this 4.5 stars

Please Most of the staff was really friendly and they were really quick and getting you what you wanted the food wasn’t wonderful that’s for sure very repetitive and weird foods there were sand fleas and mosquitoes so lots of bites the beach isn’t the cleanest lots of seaweed but the maids are wonderful the room was clean my cable didn’t work but everyone else I knew there’s did work On the weekend the resort was full of locals which is fine but a lot of them are very rude it was like [... read more] scavenging for food and they just bought you so that made three days like not nice it is definitely worth the $600 I paid I wouldn’t pay more than that and I wouldn’t go back there but There were good things the entertainment was awesome the pool was awesome free Wi-Fi they wanted everyone to do activities I didn’t personally but a lot of people look like they had fun

It’s great when I upgraded. Like to have cleaning service little better and needs to put more water then rest off the drink.

This was my Second visit and I love to go again to.last time we have 10 rooms and this we have 3 rooms booked. We all planing begger group next time. I like use same resort in Mexico to. But next I love to try VIP fasality

Be-Live Meriden

My Grandson and I had a great 2 weeks at the resort. It was my second time there. the food the staff are all make you feel like family. This time I used the Kids Club and Veronica and Maria were amazing. My Grandson wants to go back and bring his mother he said she would love it. Tracey Oliver and Adrian Oliver

Good not great resort

The Reort was nice lobby was on the smaller side but had the air conditioned bar at the front good for night time . The pool and bar were good nice big pool which was nice Beach was average little seaweed nice sand good views . Hotel room was nice decent size air conditioning not working for 2days took so long to get fixed not acceptable. Once fixed room was nice had a partial ocean view nice balcony. Comfy bed. Rated a 5 star.. in 2002

Upon checking into the room, there was an extremely strong smell of cigar smoke. Reported this to the front desk and wasn’t able to switch room as everything was booked. They sent a worker with a open coffee packet to help with the smell (two days for the smell to go away). Room was mediocre... mould and stains on the ceilings and bathrooms. Beautiful Family Oriented Resort

I have nothing but positive things to say about this resort. The staff are incredible, especially Veronica and Maria who run the Kids Club. They made our vacation a memorable one. Thank you Be Live Marien for the memories!!

Amazing Resort

7 days vacation at this location. Great Resort, Very friendly people. Had lovely smiles on their faces. Service was excellent. Rooms were comfortable. Food was excellent. Hospitality was good. Only drawback was the beach. Was not appropriate for swimming as there was a lot of sea weeds which made swimming uncomfortable. Over all had a lovely time. Would recommend others.

Resort good,people not so good

The staff are not fun or enthusiastic or friendly.only some of them.local vendors are way too pushy .lifestyle vacations on site for time share should not be permitted....( a good way to waste a valuable day). No swim up bar. Food is ok but gets tiring after a while.mexican a la carte was the best. Locals come in on the weekends and take over the place.

Great place to vacation

Be-Live Is a very friendly place to vacation the people that work there are very nice and friendly I will recommend to all To go and have a good time the food in very nice and the pool is great in all 10+ Will see you next year

Hotel was good

The hotel was nice but could use updating. Food was poor and the grounds were very nice. They could use more restaurants with better menus. Buffet was ok. The tablecloths were never changed. Pool area was very nice and clean but closed the pool at 7:00 pm. There was no place to sit and enjoy a fresh brewed coffee. The coffee was from a vending machine. Customer service wasn’t very friendly either. If you want to use the safe in your room there is a charge of $3.00 a day.

Great value

Great value Rooms at the resort were extremely generous in size. Housekeeping did a fantastic job. À la cart restaurants where well worth the visit. Food was tasty and well presented. Buffet had plenty of options. One pool bar only, no blender. Cocktails were from a slushy machine. Wine was mediocre.

This resort is not a 4.5 star as advertised

The standard rooms were very below standard, we had to upgrade while we were there. I had bugs in my room. The dining chairs were very damaged. No service anywhere for drinks. the front desk staff was not helpful.

Nice Hotel

The rooms were kept very clean and the maids were really friendly. Loved the pool, but had to get up extremely early to get a spot under the umbrellas. Had a problem on the week-ends when the locals converged on the hotel. They took over the place and ever tried to get under the umbrellas with us, which was not appreciated. The food was okay, but the staff were excellent and friendly.

Nice resort

Resort was nice the workers very nice and helpful those that you could find that understood English. Food was bland and pretty much the same every day. The beach was beautiful as I had heard all the stories about brown sand and very course but that was not the case and it was clean every day as was the grounds of the resort. besides having Sun wing rep not accept the promotional Visa Card that Trip Central sent us and stepping on a cock roach our last day it was a good vacation .

"Be Live" Dominican/Puerto Plata

Our travel consultant from Trip Central was awesome, her name was Kristian. She gave us quite a few options to choose from within our budget and allowed us to choose as we wished. She was very helpful in every aspect and hats off to her for doing a great job.The Weather was great the week I was there. The beach was very good and no issues finding a chair. I'm a picky eater and the food was not a 4.5 star quality. Some of the staff were friendly and others not. There was one resort staff dude nam [... read more]ed speggetti who was quite annoying. My wife was speaking to him and he didn't like what she had to say so he lifted up his shirt and flicked his nipple at her while screeching with his annoying voice like a young girl?I found him disrespectful and rude and told him to beat it before he regretted his rude actions. I cant speak for everyone however the entrtainment was high schoolish at best and the music on the resort lacked as all I heard was boom boom boom constantly and no western culture music at all which we all love.Our room was musty the entire time and we found it hard to get a good night sleep in the damp situation. Would I go back to "Be Live"? Never. Would I go back to the dominican? I don't think so. I have to say I'm not a Dominican fan at all and I doubt I will ever set foot on that Island again. I have to mention that this was a Sunwig package as well. The sunwing people were ok however the flight departures and arrival times are really messed up and they should do something about that aspect as it really impacts the whole vacation experience in that you already lose a day on each end traveling and with these crazy departure times you actually lose 2 days at the end of your vacation which leaves a bad taste in your mouth and makes you want to look else where.

Amazing

The resort was clean, people were friendly and the food was great. The beach could be seen from your room and so can the pool, not much of a walk to anything. Beach was clean, water was clear and warm. The pool was huge and there were afternoon activities put on by the staff. At night there is a variety show also put on by the staff. Very talented people. Food was great there is a snack bar by the beach and a full buffet just a stone throw away that is open for breakfast, lunch and supper.  [... read more] There are also 3 restaurants (A la Cart) on the resort which you had to make reservations for, these were well worth the wait. I would definitely recommend it.
