Amazing Trip

Resort was amazing good food, good entertainment amazing pool and beach. Village market and stores were convenient for shopping. I would love to go back. Recommendation is more English speaking staff.

It wasnt what i expected

I was not pleased with my trip , from how rude the people at the restaurants at the resorts were , and not to mention the casino on the resort... the dealers would laugh in my face when I lost my money. The food was decent for the most part and the pools were ok. Too much seaweed . I will never go to punta cana again. The ocean is the only reason i went and it was filthy.

Overall nice resort but our stay was plagued by problems

We have traveled as a group of 10 (8 adults, 2 children). Overall a quite nice resort. The good: - Good food (something for everybody) - Large comfortable rooms - Excellent inter-resort communication (yes, it is a large area) - Well maintained pools - Perfectly maintained green areas - The white sandy beach is spectacular - Sufficient number of chairs on the beach (most in a decent shade) The not so good: - The weeds on the beach damped the mood slightly and it was simply overwhelm [... read more]ing for a couple of guys with pitchforks – the resort is in urgent need of professional equipment to clean the beach - The á la carte restaurants (3 bookings allowed) mostly booked until the last 3 days of the stay for new arrivals The ugly: 1. In one of the rooms room the safe box did not work, in others they had problems (service tried to solve the problems but it did not last). Safe box in one of our rooms just could not be used. 2. On the second day our room entry keys stopped working. The lock was tested by service (Ezqequiel) and was working just fine with the cleaning service magnetic key) yet the first 3 replacement sets of magnetic keys did not work (half a day wasted walking back and forth). The fourth set of keys (delivered) finally worked for the rest of the stay. 3. In one of the rooms, water from the roof (or AC condensate) accumulated in the ceiling (big bulge) and was leaking at the center of the passage and on the walls. The cleaning person reported the problem but was ignored for two days. On the third day, first thing in the morning I have reported the problem to the reception - despite a promise no one showed up for hours. The cleaning lady made a call and I spoke to someone - when I asked when someone will show up - the person on the other end of the line just hanged up the phone. At that moment I went to the Guest Service and filed a formal complaint in writing - I was told to contact the Guest Service after 3pm. At that time no one seemed to know anything ; it took another half an hour of talks to couple of hotel reps before decision was made to relocate the affected party to another room (just for the last night). Disclaimer: The above could be just our bad luck but nothing justifies ignoring problems reported by resort staff and customers. Overall, I wasted more than a full day of my stay dealing with frustrating problems as opposed to relaxing.

Great resort

We've been in Grand Bahia Principe Punta Cana in July. We started with the "left foot" because we had to stay 2h at the reception desk(the room was not ready). After that was ok. The rooms are like in the pictures. We've been place between restaurant and beach, next to one pool. Even if you are far from one of them you have some mini car(mini train) that pass all the time so you do not have to walk if you don't like it.The resort was clean, a lot of palm trees. The food was very very good with s [... read more]o many options(you could easily put 3-4 kg after this cooking experience).The beach was very nice, a lot of seaweed but they were not disgusting ; my kid even enjoy playing with them. It was a nice hotel, we will return for sure.

Amazing Trip

Grounds are well kept. Service is great (Could use minor adjustments but majority of the staff is great) For a large resort it is easy to get around, Buses do come often however a few hiccups later at night but its expected. The only complaint would be the TV channels however who really watches TV on vacation. It was only before bed when wanting to see a movie or show in english was not a lot of options. Visited the other Resorts/Areas of this chain as they are beside each other. For children Fantasia is amazing, the entertainment there is one of the best. I will be returning especially to try out the children friendly area as its just as entertaining for the adults Also to trip central for looking for the best possible price, Jenn Black was AMAZING! She honestly cares for your vacation to be the best in every way.

Amazing resort

foods are delicious Dining arrangements are good grounds are beautiful everything was amazing cultural activites were good sea beach was wonderful pools are nice and music and drinks in pool were fantastic

Good Resort

The resort was nice but was a little too big, we were located further away from the beach and had to take the tram which was at times inconvenient when you have small children. The food was great lots of options, the service was good most of the times the staff were great but there wasn't consistency in the service during the week we stayed. The room was nice and clean but was facing the theater which could be loud at night when we were trying to sleep.

Great vacations!!!

Food was very good lots of variety, many places with animation, and well organized overall. Only fact the pools could have been morre cared for, like the water quality! Also the Beach had lots of algae. Drinks are to be improved for a 4+star. Thanks ;)

Amazing family resort

Amazing family resort. So much to do. good food and great service. Very good night shows. Pool and great restaurants are beautiful. Great water park and a lot activities for kids. I would definitely come back to this resort again

Horrible service and experience!!!

I'm here now at the Grand Bahia Principe Punta Cana. I think this is the worst resort I have ever been to. Horrible service in the buffet restaurants. Food is never being replenished and if it is, you need to wait so long. Yesterday basically nothing was at breakfast I had to stand and wait for eggs, for the guy to make more pancakes and crepes. It was very frustrating. No waiter comes to your table to ask what you would like to drink. You have to wave someone down to finally get a drink and the [... read more]n wait at least 20 minutes until they finally show up with your drink. Housekeeping never swept my room or changed my cups. I had to ask for clean cups in my room and for more water and had to complain so someone can sweep. There is no train to bring you to the snack bar that is over 10-15 mins walk from the lobby at night. Supposedly the snack bar is 24 hours but the train isnt so how do we get there? We saw some young group of drunk girls. They came from the snack bar and could hardly walk and the reception told them that they will not drive them back to their resort which was at the Aquamarine. So the resort is not worried for any of the tourists safety. Overall I'm very disappointed. Yesterday I went out for dinner with my kids off the resort because we are tired of no selection of food and all the food always being empty!!! I hope the issue gets fixed fast because we would like to enjoy the remainder of our vacation on the resort instead of having to leave the resort to enjoy ( which we are doing again all day today) we got no reservations for the a la carte as they were all full. When I called guest services from my room they kept hanging up on me. Overall experience here is horrible and we will never return. Also, my whole family of 9 people all had upset stomachs throughout the trip and other travellers which tells me the water is not filtered or the food is no good.

6th time

A few hiccups early in our stay... But then amazing as ever Great Hotel and great friendly people who bend over backwards to help! The beaches were super clean and great new bar hut at the beach ..Also a new bbq near pool and food on the beach Ty Judy

Quite impressive resort

the hotel on its own was quite clean, grounds very well kept- very nice to look at - room was quite clean, bathrooms in other areas ofthe hotel could have been cleaner - on the beach of course not so clean at all. the bars , meals were good, over all it was impressive. had a problem with a phone in the room - not working for 7 days - reported it 3 times - never looked at - and upon checkout they said I owed $7.00 - for a non working phone - not nice. the shows were o.k. - reception - not ve [... read more]ry friendly on checkin - had to wait until 3 p.m. - not a moment sooner - even though we arrived at 12 oclock.

Amazing resort

It was a lovely experience right from the time Monika took care of our tour, she left no stone unturned even during our vacation in Punta Cana.the.staff and managers were ready ready and available at all time way to golVery good

Great resort!

Hotel was beautiful. Maid service excellent. The food was also excellent. New themes every night for the buffet and great a la cartes. It is a bigger resort so you will ride the trolly carts most places or walk. Lots of pools to choose from, great music and a great time overall!

Started well, Ended bad

Rooms- free upgrade to building 1 right next to pool, very nice but bed bugs.. Food- great Entertainment - lacking Flight home - horrible, over head leaked the entire way on my back and no one did anything about it.

Great experience

I have been to this resort 4 years ago, and I will say it is well maintained. We had a few hurdles when we arrived. We were given a room that had a leaky ceiling in the bathroom. We called a few people in the reception and it took so long before someone came to fix it. Unfortunately, the problem was not fixed properly due to the leaky pipe. We had to go to reception and ask them to switch our room. The facilities are in good condition. The resort has all the things that you may need in a vacatio [... read more]n (ie shops, 24hour bar, entertainment, a club, and a gym + more). Management will always make your stay memorable. Don’t hesitate to reach out to them. I recommend taking advantage of the a la carte. Overall, we had a great experience at this resort and would definitely go back.

Great trip!

Had a great time at the Bahia Principe Punta Cana May 2019. The weather, beaches and pools were great. Very little to no seaweed along the stretch of beach. Ample availability of chairs and umbrellas at the beach and pools. Staff were very friendly. Rooms were clean and well appointed. The resort is well maintained. The landscaping is really beautiful. Very efficient shuttle service running non-stop throughout the resort.

Awesome Vacation

This was my 2nd visit to this resort, and I would definitely go a 3rd time. Had an absolutely wonderful stay. The food was excellent, the staff were very friendly and accomodating. The beach area was very clean (except for the seaweed). Our room was well cleaned every day, and the fridge restocked daily. My only recommendation would be that the restaurants have armless chairs available for people of larger stature (like myself).

Great Resort!

The hotel was very nice and the service was good as well! Be ready to have a lot of local sellers asking you to buy things like cigars and sunglasses on the resort and the beach. This was the only unpleasant part of the trip. Every things else like food, service, rooms was great! Overall 8.5-10 for us:)!

Great vacation

Very relaxing 7 day visit to Bahai Principe Punta Cana. Rooms very large and clean. We booked in Royal Garden and the private check in was great. Service all around was great. Beach had some vendors on it but were very respectful when you say no. We stayed in Villa 3, 2nd floor down by beach and the shower pressure was overwhelming. Entertainment very good as well; choices for all. A very enjoyable stay and well worth the price. Trip Central made it all easy and was informative all through the trip.
