Beautiful beach

Our room was a good size and clean, with a good ,working bathroom.Nice balcony.No terribly long waits with the elevators. Food was good-delicious fresh breads....Had fun dancing to great music at the Beach bar on our arrival-enjoyed ham and cheese grilled sandwiches there...and the tequila...enjoyed the buffet near the pools at noon times-often had live music.The main lobby bar was beautiful and we enjoyed it every evening.

Wonderful vacation!!!!

This was our second stay at the Blau Varadero & once again, we had a wonderful vacation. The resort is beautiful and very clean. The staff are amazing & so friendly. The buffet food is very good & the International & Mexican restaurant's are fabulous. We can't wait for our next stay at the Blau Varadero.

Excellent!

The hotel was lovely and the food was amazing. I particularly enjoyed the fresh morning smoothies and 24 hour snacks. The piano bar was great for smoking cigars and listening to jazz, and the beach bar was the place to dance. I can't wait to go back next year!

Love the Blau Veradero

This hotel has an amazing staff. Warm, friendly and sincere. Can't do enough for you. The service in the restaurants was simply outstanding. We also enjoyed the live music during lunch and dinner. The food was good we could always find something we liked. Our room was on the 12th floor and quiet. We were not bothered by noise in the room. We didn't go to any of the evening shows but saw the entertainment team during the day at various activities. The beach is lovely and clean. You need to get up [... read more] early to get a lounger at the beach. If you don't there is an overflow area on a grassy lawn with palm trees and plenty of shade.

Probably the best resort in Varadero

Loved everything about this resort - great food, incredible service, perfect beach, and many activities right on the resort - catamaran snorkeling, diving, kayak, etc. Everyone is very friendly and helpful, we felt very well taken care of. The location is great too, close enough that you can do a day trip to Havana and many other attractions in the area. Highly recommend it.

Fantastic!

Friendly staff, daily activities and entertainment, delicious food, and beautiful beach! Highly recommended. I would go back in a heart beat!! Pool was beautiful, with a convenient pool bar (not a swim up bar though).

Beautiful Resort

We stayed in this resort mid March 2015. This is a beautiful resort, the grounds and the beach are stunning. The food and service were great. The room was simple but very clean and the beds were comfortable. Would recommend this resort to my friends.

Great trip for group of family & friends!

Overall fantastic resort, great service. Two things it lost marks for with us was that the pool was cold and the mattresses were uncomfortable. The wonderful beach and great food made up for those two small complaints!

Very nice Resort !

Very elegant neat Resort, grounds and public areas kept clean,rooms are very nice, washroom clean and spacey, gorgeous ocean view, very friendly staff all over, high level quality entertainment (pleasantly surprised),very good food in buffets and restaurants ,fantastic clean beach. Excellent place for unforgettable holiday !

Very nice resort

First employee very good service, very good food, fast service, always smile, always ready so serve us, very cleans, beach it like to walk in the flour, and we don't have to wait to have taxi fast service and to take the bus to return

Our Go To Resort

My wife and I, seniors, thoroughly enjoyed our 2nd stay at this resort, and we will return. We enjoyed the food, variety and presentation, and venue. Our room was amazing, our maid service as well, thanks Annia. The pool, the beach, as far as we are concerned are superb, but, pool water a little cold. We were treated to a very special lobster dinner our 2nd night, for returning guests. We were met here by the mgr. Jose, who was extremely cordial. Great Resort

I have been to Cuba a few times and I can say that Blau Varadero is a very good hotel. Most people are concern with the food when travelling to Cuba, however, the food here was quite good. The beach is always nice in Cuba and Blau does not disappoint. Since this is high rise hotel unlike most Cuban resorts, the elevators were an issue. First it was very small, and secondly it's not working most of the time. Another conern is with the lobby bar. Amazing resort

Amazing resort, beautiful/spacious rooms, gorgeous beach strip/perfect pool. Average food, but a la carte restaurant was good. Fresh shakes in the morning were great. There is a live band in outdoor restaurant which added to the ambiance. Shows were ok. Amazing deal for a great hotel!!!

It's an ok get away

Example: What did you think about  this hotel? (grounds, public areas, rooms, dining, features, etc.) The resort itself is nice, friendly staff and clean room. One thing I don't really like is the elevator, too long to wait to go in and out of your room.

Could of been better

OK Food Lots of old people Took over 4 hours of waiting for a refund for an excursion booking through hotel which wasted my day No party life here and had to go off the resort for clubs Reception not that helpful

Fun Resort.

Had a wonderful stay at the Blau Varadero. I traveled on my own from September 19 to the 25. All staff was friendly and kind. The selection of food varied and it was good. I especially enjoyed the paella by the pool. The pool area was fun and lively. I was lucky and had great weather with some cloudy periods. Lastly the beach is most beautiful. (I went sailing as it is included in your package. And paid 20 pesos to go snorkling...fun!) It is where I spent my time. White powdery sand and Cerulean [... read more] blue water. Wow! Wonderful

Spend a wonderful week at the Blau.Beaches,food and staff were great. Really have no negative things about the resort other than they could use some better ventilation or AC in the fitness center. I would return to this resort again.

Beautiful beach, great resort

Having been to Cuba before, this resort exceeded our expectations in every way. It was beautiful, clean, food and service very good and the beach was fantastic. We will definitely visit the Blau again!!

Great service and friendly staff!

The beach was amazing! The staff was very friendly and the service was also very good. The Blau was a good resort - but more than the resort, the staff there stood out to me. I would recommend it if you're looking for a simple place.
