Fabulous time beautiful resort

The grounds and staff were fabulous! It is absolutely beautiful there. Our room was clean and spacious. Only complaint was lack of hot water for a few days. Food was okay but a bit a salty for us. Our Butler was amazing. The pools and beach are spotless and gorgeous. There is always something to do at this resort. We had a great time.

Fantastic

a fabulous resort, this was the first all inclusive that ive ever been to. would definitely return. everything was beyond my expectations,food, service, etc. the only recommendation that I would make is that as a VIP guest I would have liked that the hotel provided bag be given at checkin rather than having to ask for it.

Amazing Resort

This hotel was truly amazing, rooms, grounds restaurants were all very clean. I also appreciate them having hand sanitizer at entrance of every restaurants. Foam party was incredible, the staff totally engages the crowd. Everyone needs to experience this. Staff were very friendly and worked hard at entertaining guests. I do however have a few minor complaints, the check in process was very slow, also when requesting staff to bring items to your room, they took extremely long(sometimes having to [... read more] call back). Our group had a few teenage boys, and unfortunately they could not go to the disco because of their ages, yet they did not have a teenage disco. I feel that they need to have more activities for teenagers. The beach is beautiful, but unfortunately had a lot of sea weed. I was informed that it was because of hurricane season.

Excellent

An excellent resort. Different restaurants but we only tried Japanese which was not also good food but a great show. Room was nice and clean. Hair dryer not working was the only issue. The beach is not good, seaweeds everywhere although they do their best to clean it. Most of the bartenders and servers are really nice and always ready to serve except for a few who will serve you better after the tip. But the majority of the staff ia always smiling, happy and joking and make your stay great.  [... read more] The entertainment team is AMAZING. You will not get bored and they are always happy and joking even if they have been working the entire day. Just to mention some Sexy Tobby, Chori, the Cat, JC. They make the stay way better and enjoyable. The pool is nice but sometimes to get a drink in the pool bar may take too long so go outside to get your drink and save time. The food in the buffet is great. There is a variety of different things and for all tastes!! Every day a different theme. The Dominican night was really good. The house band playing every evening was really nice. Then the show at the theater and after that you can go to do karaoke at the sports bar and then to the disco. In all, a wonderful time. Nice weather, food and great people. I will come back for sure

Amazing Butler!

We had a great time during our stay at the Majestic Colonial. Our Butler Emmanuel made our trip so amazing! He catered to our every need and even brought us a dehumidifer. We recommend this resort!!

Lovely Resort - Great Staff

This was our first stay at an all-inclusive in over 9 years and we were there with our daughter, her husband and their 4 month old son. The grounds are lovely and well kept, the rooms very spacious and clean. We were on the family side, and our only complaint would be that the room was a bit musty smelling. The air conditioning was not overly cold, but comfortable. We spent most of our time at the pool as we had the baby with us, and it was very relaxing. Lovely beach that one can walk for miles on, although much seaweed everywhere. Seems to be a cyclical problem in the Caribbean, and staff at all hotels were working hard to keep it cleared away. We did find the food in the buffets quite repetitious, but thoroughly enjoyed Taino - the steak restaurant. Not only did it have the best location right by the beach, but the steaks were cooked to perfection each time we ate there. The Japanese restaurant was also very good - great show, tasty food. Unfortunately the Mexican restaurant, while the food was delicious, was also the restaurant that made my husband ill for a couple of days, and we have since talked to two separate families who suffered the same ill effects after eating there. All in all, however, a very pleasant stay - the lobby bars were very good, and the staff throughout the resort were awesome to a person. Super friendly, kind, and just lovely to talk to. They are to be commended. Would recommend this hotel.

Amazing Resort

Just returned from a 1 week vacation with my husband. We stayed at the Majestic Colonial (colonial club). Beautiful resort, service was amazing, always someone asking you if you needed something. We had no trouble finding chairs at the beach or by the pool side. We ate at a different restaurant each night and were not disappointed. We had a ground floor swim out room which we had requested and absolutely loved. The entertainment was pretty good, we enjoyed the live music and even strolled over t [... read more]o the Elegance a couple of times. We enjoyed the live shows at night also, the theater is very comfortable. My husband especially enjoyed the sports bar where he could watch the hockey playoffs. The beach had a tremendous amount of sea weed just in front of the resort but we walked a few feet down the beach and found some great spots to enjoy. I would recommend this resort to my friends and family.

Incredible Vacation! Beautiful Resort!

The Majestic Colonial has a special place in my heart. I couldn't bear the thought of going somewhere else in Punta Cana and not be absolutely sure that the quality of service and selection of food would be as fantastic as I have experienced at the Majestic on previous occasions. We arrived this year and was "upgraded" to the Elegance Resort which enabled us to use the facilities of both the Elegance and the Colonial. Long story short, it ended up not being an upgrade, and I had to sort it o [... read more]ut with the front desk. Edwin helped me a lot and arranged for a room change to 2328 which has a lovely view over the pool. The food is incredible at the Majestic. We mainly ate breakfast and lunch at the Flavours Restaurant, and from a vegetarian point of view, you will be amazed at the selection and variety of food available. There was almost always 12+ vege dishes hot and cold, with the “made as you watch” salads being exotic and delicious. And for the meat lovers amongst us, REJOICE! There is so many different types of meats, hot and cold, plain cooked and special dishes, fish, beef, veal, chicken, pork and there was even a roasted shoulder of lamb with gravy one day. The service is incredible throughout the resorts, everyone really seem to love their jobs and take pride in what they do. In particular, Francisca and Manuel in the Parrots Bar, Michael in the Rodeo Restaurant down by the ocean in the Colonial, Juan and Joll in the Flavours buffet and the lady at the towel exchange next to Parrots who helped me practise my Spanish every day . Shout out to Andres who gave us personal 5 star service as our waiter on our last night at the Elegance. We were approached by photographers a couple of times, including the parrot holding guy, but they were never pushy for us to buy anything which was nice. Our Sunwing rep kind of let us down at the end. We had asked him to relay the message to the Colonial side that our pick up should be from the Elegance, but two phone calls later and an annoyed driver later, we discovered that nobody relayed that message at all. Nothing to do with the resort, but just notice that you should triple check anything you get done by Sunwing. Enjoy your stay, I wish I was back there 

Excellent Resort

We’ve been to Punta Cana numerous times because it’s our preferred vacation destination. We never stay at the same resort but will be making an exception from now on. The Majestic Colonial tics all the boxes for us. The beach is beautiful, food is very good, everything is kept clean even spotless (thank you Clara for taking such good care of our room) and the service is exceptional. There is no rush in the morning to claim a spot on the beach or poolside which is wonderful. We stayed in [... read more] the Colonial Club section which is adults only (April 27th to May 2nd). Our butler Joan was friendly, helpful and very professional. We are not the type of people to select a resort because it comes with butler service. In fact, this is the first time we’ve experienced this service. Joan greeted us upon arrival, showed us around the resort, and made sure we were satisfied with our room. He checked-in on us daily and was always ready to assist with whatever we needed. He even brought my friend a birthday cake on her special day. The staff is the best I’ve ever seen. Everyone we encountered had a big smile, always greeted us with Hola, were very attentive and professional. This shows great leadership and vision on the part of Management. Bravo! PS I read the reviews before booking and my advice is - believe the good reviews and discard the bad ones. Obviously, there are people who won’t be pleased with any resort. I would highly recommend this resort to family and friends. We plan to return in March 2019. No more resort hopping for us, we finally found our home away from home.

Amazing resort

We spent a week at the Majestic Colonial Regal Class (adults only). What a great vacation. The resort was redone last year. There is always a nice breeze even in the lobby at night. You re not crowded. Nice comfortable chairs everywhere.The service was exceptional. A La carte restaurants very good. Three of the A La Carte restaurants are in the lobby &the other 2 are at the beach. Our butler Reinaldo was great. He would check with us daily to see if there was anything he could do for us. Will go back again!

Excellent vacation, great food , service, beach and pool. Accommodations and weight room excellent as well. Wilson and Nicholas at beach bar were terrific. The Animation Team is a lot of fun led by Angelica.. she is great! Pablo and Yrlandy were out servers at the beach steakhouse and they were also fantastic. Spa option was enjoyed by my children!

Incredible experience!

Service was outstanding and the grounds were immaculate! The scale of the resort was amazing. We enjoyed it immensely! We would definitely come back again and plan to book in the future! Thank you for everything!

Loved it

We stayed at the Majestic the week of March 30-April6, 2018 and do not have a single complaint about this resort. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The food was good, and the room was clean. Beautiful beach, never had a problem finding a lounger or a tiki hut for shade. The Colonial Club upgrade is definitely worth it for the private pool. I’d also ask for a ground floor walk out room if we decide to visit this resort again. Definitely a resort [... read more] I would recommend to friends.

Excellent resort

The resort is simply amazing. The grounds are kept in pristine condition all the time. The food is great. Several different restaurants to eat at and lots of choice at each one. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Pools and beach are also great.

Majestic Punta Cana

We arrived to the Majestic colonial on time and were greeted with lots of happy smiles . We couldn’t however get into our room right away but that was OK because we were meeting up with a fantastic group of people from Australia and Canada for a wedding in two days. Very Good Resort

Beautiful grounds, amazing beach very friendly staff great variety of food and drink! The rooms and resort is very modern and vary clean. Lots of room in the restaurants, buffet, at the pools and at the beach. Thanks would go again.

Overall, the resort was stunning. Service: In the restaurants, the VIP center, the larger bars, and room service were all outstanding. When we needed something in the room, it was delivered within minutes.Check-in was slow, and pool and beach bar service is not very good. Food: Awesome!!! Pool: Beautiful and well maintained. Lots of shade and beach cots, so it was never hard to find a place to lie down. The pool was really great in the afternoon when the water was partially shaded. As for bar service, it was no better than what we found on the beach. Bars: The bars in the main lobby, and the main outdoor bar were excellent. The drinks were far better than what was found on the beach and at the pool. The staff did a great job getting everyone dancing, and the live music was fabulous. The stage shows were a bit campy, but still fun for the kids. Rooms: Very nice, but not much privacy. If you're travelling with teens, you may need to hang a privacy sheet. Not a big deal if your just a couple or your kids are young. We'd go back in a heartbeat.

Good resort

Hotel grounds were beautiful. Loved the outdoor patio and entertainment. Such a wonderful way to spend an evening. Rooms were good but offered no privacy. Food was good but not amazIng. Enjoyed the gourmet and Japanese restaurants. Service at pool and beach was poor. Usually had to get our own drinks. Unfortunately we went at spring break. Hotel was over run with intoxicated young adults. Security was poor and hotel didn't do a good job handling the bad behaviour. Don't go at spring break! Great Resort

Traveled Feb 2nd to Feb 9th 2018 Great Resort, Great Beaches, Fantastic Service & the Property well maintained, 2nd time at this Resort (1st time was in 2005) and more than likely will return, I would suggest upgrading to Majestic Club for the small extra cost as for us it was well worth it......Private Check in, adult only pool with swim up bar, club only section on the beach with plenty of sun chairs, breakfast at la carte instead of the buffet if you desire, private lounges with drinks /  [... read more]appetizers and Wifi and Butler service, he would find us everyday , either on the Beach / at the Pool or would give us a call in our room to see if all was o.k. and if we needed anything to make our stay more enjoyable, took care of all our a la carte Restaurant Reservations, Great Vacation with Punta Cana Sunshine of 27 degrees Celsius everyday !! If someone finds something to complain about this Resort I suggest they stop Travelling :) :):)

Comfortable and relaxing stay.

While the pool area was always pretty full, it was never a problem to find some chairs and a shady hut on the beach. Buffet food was yummy with a large variety to choose from, and the à la carte restaurants were delicious. Staff were friendly and helpful. I’d definitely return.
