Relaxed

Just came back from Memories Caribe. Very nice resort as it is small enough to get around easily. Large selection of food items, not the place for vegetarians or vegans, not many vegetables or salad selections but a great selection or pork, chicken, beef, pork, fish and pasta make on the grill custom orders and buffet options. Never a shortage of smiles or help when needed. Down side is the mini bar, only 1 bottle of water per day, pop selection would have been nice. David at the splash bar was  [... read more]fantastic. Amazing resort

we have to remember we are in Cuba the food is Cuban not Canadian alot conplained about the food, resort, the people were great I found every body very friendly, rooms was clean daily , fresh towels daily pool and beach were super I go back again 3.5 star

Amazing Beaches and Friendly Staff

Memories Caribe is "quaint and cozy" with many choices for your meals and buffet options. Most amazing is the beaches. I have been to DR, Mexico and Bermuda and I found the beach here the MOST beautiful with the unbelievable teal waters and sand bars. A shout out to the wonderful and friendly staff, to name a few John at the front desk, Darma at the book shop, and my favorite Chef from the omelette station and fried rice station. Memories Caribe Cayo Cocov

I thought that the service was excellent and the accomodation itself was what I expected it to be The beach is absolutely magnificent and I have been to Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Mexico and Florida east coast and west coast and Cayo Coco is the nicest beach of all the beaches The pool was very nice and the swim up bar was tended by David who is not only a great bartender but so nice The buffet and a la carte were fine A lot of people say that the food in Cuba is not good but I had no issues I [... read more] would recommend bringing byour own crushed chili peppers for pasta or hot sauce as food is not spicy The 24 hour a day snack bar serves alcohol and burgers fries hotdogs pizzas and all are good The Cappuccinos that they make are so deliciousI will be returning to this resort for certain looking at booking in November or December and stayed February 16th to February 23rd All around great value for the money and now I love Cuba !

Caribe Cayo Coco, Cuba

This was by far the best resort we have ever attending from Costa Rica, to Mexico. No issues with the food always lots to choose from and quality was top notch. Fresh vegetables, wide selection of meats. Beach was awesome and shows better then some cruise ship shows. Will be back again.

Amazing White sand beach

Memories Caribe beach resort in Cayo Coco Cuba. We enjoyed the size of the resort no over crowding. We joined the Diamond club so our room had a lagoon view and was a 1 minute walk to the beach.We could always find chairs at the pool or the staff would set you up. Entertainment was top notch. The Beach is so long and stunning white sand with turquoise water no seaweed. The staff are very pleasant always ready to assist you with anything. We could always find something we liked to eat no issue a [... read more]t all. Ely on the entertainment staff is a great guy who educated us about Cuba. In the buffet the cooks are fantastic preparing your breakfast lunch and dinner to your liking. One of our favourites was the fried rice station customized to your liking meats, veggies, eggs wow just great! The deserts are not only beautiful to look at but taste unreal, so pure with out all the artificial junk in our food. Our room although a little dated was cleaned beautifully everyday. We can't wait to return and reccomend you go yourself Canadian's especially from Ontario are everywhere!

Wonderful friendly resort

Well kept grounds with friendly staff. Wonderful beach for great walks. A terrific little coffee bar that serves the best coffee.Lots to do or not do your choice. All of the staff were extremely helpful and were happy too help if you had any questions.

Relaxing trip.

Hotel - dated. We purchased the Upgrade room and there was NO door on the bathroom. Bathroom was open concept and where I don’t mind an open shower, the toilet area is a different story. Tip your maid and she will place beer and pop in your fridge. Toilets and bedding are not changed only hung up and made for you. By the end of the week we no longer had a bath mat. The 24 hour Snack bar was great. Hotdogs, burgers, sandwiches and always had fries. Buffet had awesome service for dinner time. Rafael and Yandy are great so if you are lucky enough to sit outside they will refill your cups and will remember you. The pasta line should be two not one. Often waited 30 minutes for pasta in a long line. The stir fry was good. Breakfast we had omelets everyday. We ate at the snack bar for lunch. We did not do any a la Carts. Pool - freezing. Coldest pool I have ever been in except in May in Canada. Seriously. But we always got a chair and didn’t have to go down to the pool to early to do it. Service at the swim up bar was good as well. Beach - after looking at everyone else’s bug bitten legs we didn’t risk a full day at the beach. We did go for long walks and the beach is beautiful. The pizza at the beach is very good. Entertainment - not the greatest. They had karaoke every night and should have kept that going longer than the hour. During the day they would do the same thing everyday and the resort was quiet by 10pm. Flight - AirTransat was great. Flew on time and arrived home early which was nice. Paid for Option Plus and in my opinion it’s worth it. No lines at the airport and food and one alcoholic drink is included. Plus you pre book your seats Tour Operator - Hola Sun. Our on resort rep Enme was wonderful and the most attentive I’ve ever had (we travel once a year and have done Sunwing and Air Transat) would book Hola sun again.

Great resort

been to this resort many times always great. when you know the workers and management makes your trip feel like your at home.beach is the best in cayo coco by far.all the staff works hard to try to make your stay great. want to thank Ernesto and all his staff thanks for making our vaction great again.

Won’t go back

Lots of standing water. Lots of mosquitos and bites. Food was plain and often cold. The warming trays were lit but no heat came from the bulbs. 2 out of 6 of our group became violently ill with vomiting and diarrhea. At first we thought it was a virus but after discussing symptoms with doctor after getting home, it looks like ecoli. Kitchen staff were observed shaking hands, accepting money and handling food with hands, all without hand washing. Most staff were pleasant. Difficult to get [... read more] seats at beach unless you get there by 9 am or pay for diamond club. Special Kudos to David the pool bartender who was kind and very efficient.

Friendly Staff

We absolutely loved the staff at this resort. Super friendly, and helpful. The food was quite good and always enough of everything. I did take Mrs. Dash to add a little extra flavour to a couple items. Our first room wasn't up to what a "superior room" should be. Smelly, leaking ceiling, and bugs, not happy. We were given a better quality room on the second night, after the ceiling leak was really bad, but had to move ourselves ( at midnight). The beaches are the best!! NO DOORS IN THE BATHROOM

We were beyond shocked to see a resort built without privacy in the bathroom area. I was travelling with my brother so it was abit awkard. they did give us a shower curtain to put up - but no privacy for 2 weeks. The resort needs some tender loving care. it grew on us. the beach is most amazing so we overlooked the other stuff. the staff were amazing also. once they got to know you - so sweet. would definatly go back to the area but will try a different resort. A lovely place for sun, sand, and a drink in your hand

The hotel: overall we found this place very clean and inviting. The lush grounds are meticulously very meticulous kept. The room: we went one up from the basic room to ensure we got a renovated one. Our room was spacious with a sitting area, the furnishings were modern, and the bathroom was nicely renovated. The bed was not the greatest, a little hard, but we still slept well. We were on the second floor which was nice because we slept with the patio door open (never had any bugs). That bein [... read more]g said, on the day of our departure check out was at noon but our bus to the hotel was not until 6:45pm. So we were allowed a courtesy room for 30 min in the evening so we could shower and change. This room reeked of humidity and mould. I definitely could not have slept in that room. The finishes in that room were also poorly done and kind of well, gross. Hopefully that room is only for showering. The food: people love to complain about the food in Cuba, but honestly we were well fed and enjoyed the food. The buffet was clean and well stocked. The morning pastries were amazing! There was usually a bit of a wait for the pasta bar, but worth it. The staff: this is my second time to Cuba and I did find the staff could have been a little friendlier. They weren’t rude or anything, just not very outgoing. I would have loved to get to know some of them, but they just sort of seemed more interested in getting their job done. The beach: AMAZING!! If you’re a beach person, Cuba is the place to go. The sand is a powdery soft white, and the water is the clearest you’ve ever seen. We took a catamaran/snorkeling excursion but honestly it was not needed. We snorkeled right off the beach and saw tons of fish and starfish, even a bit of coral (there was more coral on the excursion). The one thing that bothered me is that there are signs saying it is not permitted to reserve chairs, but we quickly find out that if you don’t reserve your chairs (which everyone does) you won’t be able to get one until the very end of the day. It was frustrating to see chairs covered with towels sitting empty for hours while other searched for chairs with disappointment. The no chair reserving rule really should be enforced. Entertainment: Good, had lots of fun at the white party. The staff was fun and inviting. Overall, really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this place. If you are looking for something luxurious with gourmet food, this might not be the place for you. But if you want a clean, comfortable, and fun place on a budget, I’d definitely recommend the Memories Caribe

Beautiful beach

Beautiful beach, not impressed with food, no hot water, air conditioning was not working more than it worked and staff could be friendlier with more entertainment. Wasn’t worth upgrading to diamond club

Very clean

Was very impressed with the cleanliness of this resort. Garbage cans were very prominent and guests and groundskeepers obviously used them. We were on the 2nd floor in a deluxe room and really enjoyed it. The beach area has many lounges and palapas. Our first week the beach was perfect and the second a lot of weeds came up after a big storm. Big cleanup job. At low tide you can walk and walk and walk on pristine sand sometimes up to your waist from one section to another but a great experi [... read more]ence. Will definitely book again.

Fun times

We went to the Memories Caribe jan 19, 202 for a week.The resort was excellent our room was clean and sufficient. We particularly enjoyed the entertainment staff. Amazing talented people. The shows through the day and at night were were amazing. Volleyball at the beach was a blast, Michael coordinate s a challenging game. Resort had prompt start time for food and shows, we sometimes waited for clean beach towels, no big deal.we were a group of 8 and I got covered in bug bites despite my effo [... read more]rts with spray creams and meds. That was the only downfall. The rest of my group were fine. Memories caribe is a great resort to visit for the price.

Won't go again

This wasn't the greatest resort right from the start they tried to give us a regular room when we had as diamond club room we had to threaten them to leave if they didn't fix it which they did at 530 in the morning we were so tired from being up for practically 24 hours then we had trouble with them filling the fridge, toilet paper, we had a coffee pot and they never left coffee no matter how many times we asked all in all everything was a real issue and water wasn't supplied like it should have [... read more] been for two people. The food was horrible period and drinks were watered down. Every time you talked to any staff if they understood you they gave you an argument. The entertainment wasn't great either. This is supposed to be adults resort and everything they had including excursions was geared more to the younger groups.

A great vacation!

Memories Caribe was a perfect size for an adults only resort. The rooms were large, comfortable and clean. The AC wasn’t able to adjusted which made the room quite cold other than that, all was good with our room. The pool area was clean and had a few food options throughout the day as well as a swim up bar. Entertainment was great all week, especially the rock band that performed by the pool area. Definitely recommend this resort for a short getaway stay.

Friendly staff

The resort is a good size. Easy to get around. Our bungalow room 4002 was spacious and comfy. Food was just ok and was as expected for Cuba. Not great but we certainly didnt go hungry. Its Cuba. Deal with it and appreciate the hard work the staff puts in.
