Nice All Inclusive Resort for the Family

We spent the second part of our Christmas vacation at The Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton Resort and had a great time. The weather was great, the food was phenomenal, and the drinks were abundant! Make sure to book your dinners early for the specialty restaurants ie: Italian, Asian, Indian, Steakhouse, Jamaican, and Mexican. The buffets were great for breakfast and lunch and don't forget the Sports Bar for snacks, pizza and hotdogs for the kiddies. We spent a fair amount of time in the air conditioned game room. Pool, Fooze Ball, and Ping Pong kept us busy before the evening shows. One can easily tell that this place was once a "Grand" place to vacation in its' heyday. There are updates to be had, however it is still a nice place to stay. For the most part the staff was accomodating. The rooms are decent and the maids always kept our room nice and tidy. The only problem we encountered was that the door/cardlock system was dysfunctional on several occasions. We had to go back to reception and have our keycard reprogrammed or have security attend. Not so nice when you've had drinks and just want to retire to bed! Great Pool, nice beach area with snorkeling equipment, kayaks, windsurf boards and paddle boards available. Most days all of the snorkeling equipment was being used so if you want to snorkel every day bring your own gear!

Great resort!

Overall, our experience here was really nice. Since a little out of Montego Bay, no one bothering to buy stuff on the beach - we loved that! The staff were pretty nice and helpful. The resort is beautiful! Surprisingly, the buffet is better than most of the A la Carte's - the Indian and Mexican restaurants were awesome! (Except... I would have liked to have seen a recycling bin for the water bottles. They had a couple recycling bins around the resort. If you really like the turn-down service at night, it needed to be more consistent. Gym was very good. Just needs to be a tad colder and would be helpful if they had hand towels. We never had any trouble getting beach towels (awesome!!!) and beach chairs (awesome!!!). The umbrellas/shade, of course, were a little harder to get at the nicest beach. The Infinity bar with the nightly band was GREAT! Some of the bands were really really good and fun to listen/dance to. We preferred that over the "nightly" show.

Best resort I've stayed at yet

The hotel was amazing. Every one was super friendly, it was super clean and the food was great!! The pool was massive which was nice !! Tons of stuff to do and the entertainment at night was great! We will definitely be coming back to this resort !

Great Resort

Pool was great - very large. Accomodations were nicely maintained. Although the Honeymoon Villas are a long walk to the centre of all of the action. They were very private - but a long walk. Food was excellent. Overall a great vacation spot.

Great Vacation

Good food, wonderful staff...always something to do or see at this resort. The activity staff at the pool and beach will help keep you entertained during the day but they'll leave you alone if that's what you want. Bring your own insulated cup/mug for drinks as the cups are rather small at the bar. We would generally order two drinks at a time each because one was not enough. If you sat at the bar the bartenders will serve you the next drink before you've finished your first so that's not an iss [... read more]ue but if you want to take your drinks away you may find yourself struggling to carry a bunch of drinks. Everyone seemed to have these cups so I'll be bringing them with me next time I go away. The beaches right in front of the main pool have quite a bit of coral in them. We avoided these beaches and went to sunset cove. This was a really nice beach. Not the best we've ever seen but all the amenities at this location made up for it. There is a restaurant right above the beach and the Jerk Hut is here. There's activity staff at this location and the non-motorized water sport equipment is at this location. There's tons of shade at this beach which was wonderful. Normally, it's hard to find a lounger that's in the shade but not at this beach. There was a show every night (some better than others) and a different band every night at the outdoor Infinity bar overlooking the pool. We liked to go to dinner, catch the show and than walk up to the Infinity Bar for drinks and dancing. If you get the munchies the all night snack bar is just below this bar so it's really convenient to grab something to eat and then go back up to the bar or to eat something before you go back to your room. Our room was in building 26 which was beside the main pool and in front of the beach. We had a second level unit so we had beautiful views of both the pool and the beach. The room was really nice and spacious but the bed and pillows were really hard. I think they must be protected in some type of plastic and that's why they're so hard...not the most comfortable bed but we got used to it. The mini fridge does not have a lot in it (two beers, two waters, one coke, one diet coke, one sprite, and one orange drink) but they stocked ours twice a day so we never ran out of drinks. There's a coffee maker in the room too so you can make yourself a coffee in the morning before you leave your room which I liked to do...just sit out on the balcony and people watch as I had my coffee. I would highly recommend this resort but only if you like a more isolated location. There were only the hotel guests and staff at this resort...I saw no locals and the closest town was not one I would go to. Overall, the staff at this resort were probably the best I've every seen. They were so friendly and genuinely helpful. They were always smiling and went out of their way to help you with anything that we needed. I never go to the same resort twice but I would go back to this resort in a heart beat!

Relaxing

The hotel is beautiful, small beach areas, great food and drink, staff other than the front desk staff were great. Room was to be ready at 3pm and front desk staff kept telling us to come back in half an hour. 4:45 by the time we got our room and this was with the Imperial Club upgrade. Just be honest and we could have gotten our bathing suit out of our luggage and gone for a swim. Would we go back ? Yes

Not the greatest for service

Food was good, room was good, but service was awful. Beaches were wonderful especially Coral beach, lots of great snorkeling. if you upgrade make sure you get and understand what is supposed to come with your package. Also apparently you have to fight to get towels...

The time of my life!

From the moment I stepped foot onto the resort I was greeted by the most polite and hospitable staff. The grounds were meticulously manicured, the pools were crystal clean, and the beaches were flawless. I truly feel as though I made lasting friendships with the staff of Grand Palladiums Lady Hamilton Resort.

Perfect

We had a wonderful vacation. The staff were all very kind, the room and it's view were so beautiful. Everything was very clean and the food was terrific! Please don't listen to the negative reviews on here, we read a lot before we went and have decided that some people you just can't please. It was the most beautiful place I've ever been and I would return in a heartbeat :)

Amazing trip!

Example: What did you think about  We were greeted at the airport which makes us feel being taken care of. This feeling last till we finish the trip. Hotel staff are very friendly. My daughter loves the staff at kids club and buffet restaurant.

Wonderful experience!

The resort was truly impressive, just perfect for a destination wedding. Immaculate grounds, great beaches, picturesque pools, good food and drink, great night clubs and entertainment, good shopping, and great service from the ultra polite staff. The experience was perfect! Ya man.

High expectations, disappointing results

My family and I recently stayed at this resort. There was much disorganization with the resort staff at check-in, the food was edible... mediocre at best and the service was unfortunately hit or miss.

Amazing resort

We had our wedding at the resort it was absolutely beautiful could not of expected anything so magical. Everyone went out of there way to make this a memorable wedding and honeymoon. Staff was fantastic resort is beautiful and would highly recommend resort to anyone we will be returning.

Wonderful Resort!

The place is amazing, it is huge and yet it is private. each building is an entity in itself and you can choose to be with a lot of people or by yourself. Food was incredible. Excellent quality, great choices. Several a la carte were fantastic. Great water activities area.

Great Resort

Food was very good, rooms were clean, pay the extra for the white bracelet it is worth it. Had a great time. Would recommend this resort to anyone, even has an adult pool with its own bar area. Main pool is huge.

Awesome Resort !

I had never been to Jamaica this was our first trip The Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton Resort and Spa was absolutely beautiful ! Staff were very friendly and accommodating , rooms really good size and very clean grounds were well kept . Really enjoyed the Spa services , food well what can i say it was excellent loved the beach bar at the Sunset Cove you order off the menu :-) Jerk Hut on the beach was a favorite amongst the group ! Came back early May and started the planning for next year .There [... read more] were 19 of us in the group and everyone enjoyed the resort .I will definitely book another trip at this resort

Our Dream Vacation!

This Hotel was totally amazing! The worker's were very friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. The huge white pillars, beautiful pool area and variety of entertainment and restaurants made it a dream vacation. Our room was nice, had a huge bed with French doors to the balcony, a Jacuzzi and television. There were a variety of Restaurants from Italian to Chinese with delicious foods. The only thing was I wish there was more sand and room to lay on the beach. Food and drinks were easily accessible and always made with a smile. Fantastic!

We had a great time on our vacation to the Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton Resort and Spa in February 2014. The grounds were beautiful, staff were friendly and the food was amazing!! There was a great selection of off-resort tours as well. I did read some other reviews that talked about all the walking. We stayed in one of the furthest rooms and it took a maximum 2-3 minutes to walk to the lobby.

Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton, Jamaica

We had fantastic time, the food was superb the Ala carte restaurants did not require advance reservation as it was first come first serve so many to choose from, the rooms were spacious and very clean, staff and customer response to our needs were very timely, although the resort is very spacious, you had a choice to walk to your favorite spot or ride. We wouldn't have any problem recommending this resort to our family and friends.

Amazing & Beautiful Resort

This resort was beautiful. It was so clean and well kept up on the grounds and interior. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The swimming pool was amazing and huge. We spent a lot of time relaxing.
