Gran Club Santa Lucia: Best Vacation Ever, Felt Like I was home with Family

We just returned back from our Vacation at Grand Club. It was a girls get away and we had the best time ever. I have travelled to Cuba many times and this is the first time I can actually say it felt like being with family. When we first arrived at the Hotel the room we received was not in the greatest condition. However Customer Service Rep Raynaldo was very quick to resolve the issue. He took us to several other rooms and let us choice which one we were more comfortable in. The Ho [... read more]tel is older and is currently being renovated. The grounds are very nice and kept very clean. We ate in the buffet and also at the a la carte and I have to say the food was amazing. The Entertainment staff was amazing, they were always by the pool or beach with lots of activities to participate in. They were always engaging with the guest to participate in activities. Two best Entertainment staff goes to Betty and Tiko. Also one more shout out to the best lifeguard by the pool who always made you feel safe Armando. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Hotel Caracol: Bella,bella

The newly renovated rooms are beautiful.Very stylish and the bathroom is tres chic ! I appreciated the walk-in shower as I have mobility issues. .Our units in the 500 block were central to everything with easy access to the beach The beach .was clean,plenty of umbrellas & loungers .The water was clear & warm. The entertainment was very good and all the staff were friendly. Te hotel brisas good clean . only the food no good . the beach very nice . i like the beach santa lusia.everything not bet . i want try to food better . this very important for every body . have a beautiful time .

Hotel Caracol: Disappointment

Rooms were the best part of the resort. The food was the same the Italian animation along with Italian Chef and customer relations were rude didn't even bother with you unless you were an Italian from the mother land Italian Canadian didn't cut it. The beach bar was slow half the time no food there always said"he's gone to get more good" returned an hour later. The beach was nice but I will not return I gave it a chance and I will never spend money for this resort again nor will I fly Cubana air [... read more]line ....no soda, just a warm drinking box seats small terrible experience...I'll stick with what I know and out of the 4 hotels in this area the Italians can keep it because it will never work for them oh last thing the Italian chef should be careful to speak Italian and trash Canadians you never know who's listening and what they understand. Disgraceful and bad representation of Italians because I know that's not what they are like just these people

Club Amigo Mayanabo: Quiet hotel

Clean hotel in all grounds, great coffee, good bar service in all bars. Food like everywere in Cuba. Free use of bikes, boats. Little boring at night. Need to have some live music in the lobby. Three stars hotel that you will not be disappointed.

Hotel Caracol: What happened!

I've been to this resort a few years ago, from what I remember , my group went back for seconds at dinner! This time, as a vegetation, EVERYTHING HAD PORK IN IT. I went for he seafood sauce, and asked if it contained meat in SPANISH, chef said no. Giant chunk of pork the first forkful I took out. I left pissed off and hungry. My nephew also got a plate with some mystery white sauce that tasted RANCID. Renovated rooms were gorgeous and had a nice big bathroom. The service was great, the same bart [... read more]enders as before were always the sweetest, and this one lady would not serve my boyfriend at the bar! He said he stood at the barfor 10 minutes as she ignored him! My sister went to the shop, and the women were all sitting around talking smack about my sister in Spanish!!!! Little did they know, she understood every word they said and was very hurt. They were lucky it was not me in that shop.... we tried to book a fishing trip, and they fishermen said they couldn't take us out until the day we were leaving, even though their itinerary said their schedule was from Monday to Sunday. The hola sun rep sat there and screamed at them on the phone and got all shaky and frustrated. again, I'm on vacation and this left a bad stressy feel to the trip. aboard the catamaran (I went fishing on this same boat with the same crew) they lied to my face when I confronted them about not taking 7 of us out(my entire family was let down) out fishing ..he lied and said they used a different boat that was destroyed in a storm. They were also gossiping and talking vouy me in Spanish on the boat. Staff needs to be retrained it fired because that is absolutely unacceptable, and I feel very insulted. At some points I felt like the cubans were racist and resentful towards us, and I've been coming there since I was 2. I am now almost 30. I'll never go to this resort again.

Hotel Caracol: sucsessful familly vatation at BRAVO CARACOL SANTA LUCIA CUBA

we were privileged to visit Bravo at the opening A lot of changes , in the last 6 years since we go to this resort ,we like BRAVO , CARACOL for a lot of reason it is small, family oriented , friendly ppl , this year we took our family of 7 ppl , for this reason and we had a vacation they will not forghet soon , The ages from 13 to 66 years old were happy , IT need improving in the area of food , , ex,, more greans more fruits and vegetables , it is the seasons of, [... read more] avocado and NO avocado in site also local fruits that we Canadian travel there for , also ,, for the temp , at this time of the year to much mixed cold salads , also NO variety of breads , , deserts , limited to Cuban cakes , NO Italian deserts at all being a mixed Cuban Italian we expect to have a coffe with biscotti hope it will be available at our return to the hotel in the winter ,

Brisas Santa Lucia: Great Get-Away

Well kept resort, I was here in the summer, only 40 people at the resort. The staff were friendly and very attentive ( seeing how there were more of them than us. LOL) Food was top notch, Beer was Cold.

Gran Club Santa Lucia: Home away from home

Great staff. Good food. This was our second trip. They made improvements since our last trip. Nightly shows are good. Bit of sea weed in water but they clean the beach daily. I will be going back soon.

Gran Club Santa Lucia: Reasonable and clean.

The hotel was amazing . From day one the staff made me feel welcome looking forward to visit there again in the near future. The food was good the hotel had more than one restaurant and bar. The beach bar was very accommodated for guest a few steps from the beach and you have a drink, fries, hotdogs or burgers.

Gran Club Santa Lucia: Great trip with 3 young kids!

Resort was absolutely perfect for families. Stunning beach with calm water. Kids pool was a big hit, very large and perfect depth. Buffet was best we've had in Cuba and perfect dining times for young families. Staff was all wonderful. Recommend Family Suite, we travelled with kids 6, 3, and 1.

Nice and kind staff !! Clean rooms !! Good variety of water sports !! Good possibilities of excursions outdoor !! Quiet and relaxing beach !! Fun shows at night !! Entertainment for children and adults !! We have received more than we have paid !!

Brisas Santa Lucia: Grate resort

Beautiful park with flowers,people is very friendly ,service is too,very good....Pool is nice AND everything is clos ....bar works ALL night ..Entertainment is veru good, every night is show,very nice ,AND Fun . Beach is beautiful,send, chers ,AND ALL is very good,,I Like this hotel I was more times,AND i will go agein.hotel "Brisas"is very good.

Gran Club Santa Lucia: It was a geriatric convention..

The resort itself was nicely maintained. A girl friend and I stayed for 5 days. The food was good, for Cuba. The shows were fairly nonexistent when we were there. We expected some grand dance numbers given the reviews; however, only one night had an actual dance show and that only consisted of 3 mediocre dances. The resort seems geared to older people and families with very young children. There was really no in between. Perhaps during a higher peak season, this isn't the case. If you're looking for excitement and half entertaining excursions, go somewhere else. Also, if you are going to book, go through Sunwing, rather than Air Cubana. Our rep could never be found but the Sunwing lady was amazingly helpful (even though we weren't Sunwing guests). The staff were all nice enough. The lobby bar bartenders were the best. The beach is not that nice. Nothing compared to Cayo Largo. This one has maybe 10 feet of cleared space to use, and it's less than a foot deep. Even coco beach was disappointing...unless seaweed is your thing. Oh. Don't get a standard room if you like to sit out on the patio...there isn't one. Do the upgrade.

Gran Club Santa Lucia: Perfect Vacation! Great Value!

I went with my daughters in April and loved this resort. They have been before and liked it then. When we got there the staff recognized them from last time. The entertainment group is fantastic especially Danny and Tico but all were great. The beach is beautiful although there is some seaweed and the pool is good too! The room was large, clean and had a separate room...worth a slightly higher cost for the junior suite. The food in the restaurant was somewhat limited but tasted good. Ivonne [... read more] in public relations is fantastic and offers superior service Internet cards 2 pesos for 1 hour can be bought and work well I have been to many places in Cuba but thought that this was the best value for my dollar, par none!! I will definitely go back.

Club Amigo Mayanabo: Wonderful People

The staff of this hotel were amazing. We had a scooter accident and thus had limited mobility. We were treated very well. The physician who looked after us was professional but also very kind. In terms, of the hotel, everything was clean and functional. The beach was gorgeous and made for a few nice walks. Only negative comment is that the food was mediocre.

Brisas Santa Lucia: good resort

this resort is very good for the price we paid, This is my 3 time on the resort. I really enjoyed the house band very good musicians. my2 time in the same block and the cleaning lady the same she did very good job once again ,we go there for scuba diving and we were accomodatad right beside the dive shop , diving was amansing.

Brisas Santa Lucia: Needs work

Lower class resort. Staff was nice. Especially Jorge the Transit rep. You can't get better than him. Jorge is straight forward and willing to help you. Goes above and beyond to make your stay pleasant.

Brisas Santa Lucia: Has declined since the last time I was there

I was a little disappointed at the lack of services they offered due to their slow season. Same food everyday bacon was not real a guest I gave Serb in Cuba after going there 14 times. Ran out of white wine people were nice but not very helpful. I don't think I would go back to this hotel left a bad taste in my mouth which is too bad because I have never had a bad experience like l have on this trip.
