Melia Las Americas: Second trip to the Melia Las Americas
This was our second time to this hotel. Big difference between the first time pre-Covid and now. The first time we stayed in the main hotel and the second time we upgraded to the level. We thought the upgrade to the level was a good idea however, if you can’t afford it, you’ll be perfectly fine in the main building as well. The beach here is honestly one of the best… Can’t beat it and the close proximity to the golf course. The course is not the greatest but for a vacation course it’s a lot of f [... read more]

Grand Memories Varadero: Grand Memories
Music too loud at pool and beach. TV didn't work. I told 2 desk clerks, the maid and main person responsible for resort. Nothing done. Won't go back there. I'm alone and don't sleep much so a TV is good to have
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Amazing relaxing resort
Out of 4 resorts that I have stayed at in Cuba, I'd rate this one the best. While there are lively areas, there is always quiet sports to sit and relaxe if that's what you want. There are numerous bars. There is good table attentive table service. Cuba being as it is can result shortages. At times there can no limes, or lemons, or cola available. You need to be a fexable drinker. There is only one kind of beer. The tenis courts are in rough shap. Tennis rackets and balls are available, but the [... read more]
Starfish Varadero: Changed room two times
We were given a room in the main building with three beds, no balcony, no air conditioning, and no flushing toilet. Told to pay 330 USD cash to move to bungalow. Moved to bungalow; unpacked. The air conditioning did not work; waited for repairs. The repairs could not be made, so we moved again the next day. The roof leaked on the rainy days, but fortunately we brought our own towels so we could spread them on the floor to contain water. The beach was awesome. The service is fine if you tip. The [... read more]

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Quiet and relaxing
We stayed in the junior service royal suite. Based on time of year it was not busy. Some areas were showing wear. Staff were very friendly even though we were not sure they understood what we were asking a good part of the time - always a sile and appreciative of tips / gifts. Food selection were very adequate. Mix options for drinks limited ie no cola !
Melia Las Americas: Fun golf resort
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Fun time for a golf trip. The greens need some work but otherwise good. Food was fine. The beach was really nice. The hotel overall needs a refresh. Good for a guys golf trip. If your wife is at all fussy you may need an upgraded room.
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Exceeded our expectations
This resort dramatically exceeded our expectations of a Cuban resort. The property was spacious, clean, well manicured, the rooms were perfect (we were in the Royal section), the food was very good, we ate at 4 different restaurants ( the Japanese is a MUST), food presentation excellent, the staff were Exceptional, from front desk, servers in restaurants, cafe's, bars, maids, grounds keepers...everyone was over the top courteous, engaging. The beach area was spacious, the pools expansive, clean. [... read more]
Sol Palmeras: Nice Resort
Very nice hotel our room was updated. Music was a bit loud at times. Beach was very nice didn’t have to get up early to get a chair which was nice. Food was okay the people were so nice and welcoming. The new beach bar was awesome.
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Nice resort
Great beach and swimming pool. Italian restaurant excellent. Japanese very good. Buffet - got enough to eat but a little boring. Service and staff very good. Rooms and grounds good Had an enjoyable stay and would consider going back. Kettle in room which I thought was a good idea. Would bring some coffee and tea if I returned.
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Paradisus Princessa Del Mar - Formal Resort Review – Cuba / Meliá Hotels International
I recently visited Cuba and, in light of the country’s current conditions, I wish to acknowledge the exceptional professionalism and dedication of the Cuban people. The staff and service providers were consistently courteous, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. They work diligently to ensure tourists feel comfortable and valued, despite frequently lacking access to basic necessities in their own lives, including reliable medication, food supplies, water, and electricity. Their efforts deserve ex [... read more]
Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Very Nice
Resort shows some wear, but for Cuba it's in great shape. Beach is amazing and staff are very friendly and helpful. Food was always plentiful. Resort shows some wear, but for Cuba it's in great shape. Beach is amazing and staff are very friendly and helpful. Food was always plentiful.
Paradisus Varadero: paradisus Varadero
lot of drastic changes in the wrong direction. that made us very upset and angry, the management ruining this beautiful place, which is very sad, very basic food items are not available, and the selection is very poor, this resort was our favorite, but not anymore. no more Cuba for us!
Melia Las Americas: Great resort.
Melia Las America is a great resort. The rooms, pools and service are exceptional. Tha access to the golf course is convenient. I love this golf course. This trip was all I expected. We will definitely return.
Playa Vista Azul: Nice resort
We were a group of five girls and had an amazing time. The resort grounds were kept in very great condition. We ate at every place that we could, and we’re pleasantly pleased with everything that we had. There wasn’t a huge selection, but it was during the off-season so that was understandable. We spent every day at the big beach and loved it. Loved the personal service from the beach bar employees. The main lobby was a fun place to be every night and the staff there were incredible. Playa Vista Azul: Great resort
The resort grounds are kept impeccably clean. All of the food we ate at the buffet, à la carte, snack bar, 24 hour bar, were all wonderful. The infinity edge pool looking out to the sunset every night was beautiful. We spent every day at the big beach, so I’m not sure how the small beach was. The staff at all parts of the resort were very friendly. Just to mention a few of our favorites… Gilberto in the lobby bar, Michael at the beach bar and pool bar, Camilla and Hanley at the buffet, Raf [... read more]
Roc Barlovento: Our second home
The Cuban people are working very hard to keep their repeaters. The gardeners have no equipment to work with but do the best they can. Grounds look amazing. The hotel is kept very clean. And the food is what is provided for them which is good compared to what they have in their own homes. The beach and ocean is amazing. The best I have seen in all our travels. I would go again in a heartbeat ?
Grand Aston Varadero Beach Resort: Fun times at Grand Aston Varadero
Really enjoyed our stay at this hotel- clean rooms, good food, best staff especially the Beach Bar. Reviews about beach being horrible is not accurate - it may not be equivalent to beaches further down the strip but still beautiful.
Melia Las Antillas: 10 times to Cuba, worst food by far
The positive reviews about the food have to be fake. I've been to Cuba 10 times, different resort every time. Not a picky eater at all but the food here was by far the worst. This is a 2.5 star resort. The staff is amazing, beach is amazing, resort is kind of old but everything works fine, decent wifi. But man the food is atrocious. Have a huge breakfast because lunch and dinner is not edible.
