Zel Cozumel: Better than last time

This resort is extremely well maintained. Everything is spotless. The staff work hard to make sure you have a great vacation. Rooms are very adequate and spacious. The food is better than when we were here 3 years ago. Staff all wear masks and the majority of guests do, also. Masks are mandatory in restaurants for guests. Drinks are very good, not watered down. Some days there is seaweed and some days, there is none. The entertainment is very good. We will go back!

Grand Park Royal Cozumel: Great Resort

We have stayed here many times and love the resort!! Things were definitely not 100% but the resort was not full so a much quieter experience , social distancing was in effect in the restaurants, lobby, bars etc. Masks worn indoors but not needed out side. Lots of sanitizing stations and patron tracking by room number was done, as well as all staff wearing masks. Buffet was definitely smaller with fewer choices but was really nicely done , my only bad point would be no toasters in the morning bu [... read more]ffet so no toast with your bacon and eggs and some condiments were scarce but if you asked they tried to get you what you wanted by the end of our week occupation was up and the buffet seemed to expand as more people were there. We will be back again love this location as it is close to the dive shop we use.

Cozumel Palace: Wonderful and Attentive Staff!

We recently stayed at the Cozumel Palace and overall had a pleasant stay. While it is not of the same caliber as the Playacar Palace, the Staff were very helpful and attentive. We prefer Adults only accommodations and would not recommend this hotel if you are looking for a quiet and relaxing holiday. It became increasingly busy, more than likely due to it being Christmas, but the noise in the hallways and in the hotel became an issue for us. Finally, we were not overly thrilled or impressed with sales pressure to buy into the resort. It was nice to be away, and if you are looking for a small family friendly resort than this is a resort for you.

Grand Park Royal Cozumel: Great resort

The hotel was fine, average two beds, bathroom closet, desk, TV and a balcony. The rooms were clean. The hotel was clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The elevator was slow as some of the elevators were shut down due to Covid. The food at the resort was pretty good, Lots of variety however limited, probably due to Covid. There were 3 pools on the property plus the beach. With the 60% capacity due to Covid the pools and the beach were not crowded, lounge chairs were abundant. [... read more] One pool was strictly for adults which was great, an infinity pool overlooking the ocean and a swim up bar. The "Funstatic Team" were awesome, providing afternoon games and activities as well as evening entertainment which brought all the guest together for greatly missed social interaction. Being from Canada we were required to have a PCR test, we booked this on-line with a link provided by the hotel. The doctor and nurse came to our room and provided the Covid test at a cost of $90 US. Our results were received by email in 24 hours. I would definetly return to this resort for a getaway.

Sunscape Sabor Cozumel: 3* Resort

The beach was nice, don't forget to wear water shoes, you will need them. The grounds were kept nice and clean. Our room was nice, it was located in the section near the quieter pool. The food was so-so. But I read reviews and I was expecting it. What I didn't expect was to get some kind of stomach bug caused by either the food or the drinks. They didn't really clean their plastic glasses very good at the bars, so that's where I think I might have picked something up. My husband got sick as well [... read more]. The staff were very friendly and I think they work really hard. Would I go back, no. It was not worth the money we spent for this all inclusive.

Grand Park Royal Cozumel: Dont recommend this to anyone!

The only thing going for it was the property and caribbean restaurant. Beach was nice and the pool and "hot" tubs overlooking the beach looked beautiful. Only - the hot tubs were FREEZING, also the deck around them crumbled from the surf hitting it the first night we were there. The Italian restaurant was ok - good appetizer and dessert buffet, but the served meal portion was only ok. My meal - the fish fillet looked great but tasted off. I didnt eat it for fear of food poisining. The Caribean restaurant was really good - great staff, good seafood and food in general. We went there more than once. The other issue was the first night our 2 gardenview rooms were overlooking the busy street next door and some kind of tanks outside. It was too noisy to sleep and the door security latch on one room was broken. It took all of our first day to get them to move us and only with a call from Canada (Nicole helped) - they just didnt seem to care.

Allegro Cozumel: Won’t go back

This trip was exactly what we needed for my husband, myself and our newest addition, our 2 month old daughter. We loved the beach, sun and diving. We will however not be back ever again as the food was atrocious. We didn’t starve or get sick, but it really was pretty bad. The only thing to eat at lunch was (cold) burgers and wedges/fries. T [... read more]he drinks however were fantastic. We arrived at the resort around 11 am big no rooms would be ready until 3! None, zero. There is no where else in the resort with AC. So our 2 month old started overheating by 1pm. No room available. They had a small office space they allowed us to sit in that had ac. Finally at 3 the front staff allowed us to be the first to recieve our room. Still had to wait an hour for the crib to be delivered and finally our baby could lie down for a nap at 4pm (we left our house at 1am for the flight). Air canada was disappointing, on the way home they only came around with drinks during times of turbulence, and refused to serve hot drinks because of it. Then we arrived in Canada and did not get any information on where to pick up our stroller and car seat. We found an air canada rep who told us to take an elevator up and wait. We did. Someone (luckily) noticed our stroller and other people’s walkers on the empty elevator, the doors opened with our expensive equipment but no air canada staff to unload!!! Horrible. No one let us know anything about coronavirus recommendations. So we of course stopped to eat/use the bathroom on the way home not knowing the government had asked us to self quarantine until late that night! Yikes.

Zel Cozumel: Great resort

Third time to this island, prefer this resort as the beach is besutifyl, no rocks, easy to get to with its own small airport. Beach, hotel, food, location was perfect, service was exceptionel, employees are awesome. Premium rooms are spacious, clean and great ocean view. You can see all the cruise ships cruise by daily

Grand Park Royal Cozumel: Not worth the money

The hotel needs TLC for sure. The staff trying to sell time sharexwere rude once you said no to going to their speil. The pool was freeeeeeezing! The one by the ocean wasnt bad and it was fun to watch the boats come in. Buffet food was not great, breakfast was horrible, lunch was edible and dinner wasnt too bad. Our room service was horrible, had to call for to and Kleenex and water, not to mention the fridge was supposed to be fully stalked. All the lady did was make the bed, then we'd have to call. Has a coffee maker and two cups but never got coffee and when we asked, she left one pouch of coffee and nothing else. Hope you like it black lol. Air conditioning didn't work well at all, asked about fixing it and were told won't happen before you leave lol. Very very small resort, no night life as far as bars and dancing etc. Not a lot going on or to do at the resort but drink and eat, and hey, some people are live with that. All in all would not go back, nor would I suggest this place to anyone of our friends. But I have the say the staff at the restaurants and pool bars work extremely hard and are friendly and we tipped them well for this. Oh yes, no real beach to speak of if you like a big sandy beach, is is very small and chairs are impossible to get unless you're up and down at 6am to throw a towel and book on it. I'd say half the chairs weren't even used, people put crap on them then leave for hours on end to town or all day and then come back and grab their towels at the end of the day. I think that's bs and people who do that's are selfish asses. Keep chairs just in case, and then dont use them. Other people could have, very selfish. Personally I think hotels should ban that practice since people can't see how rude it is, if you come and use it within an hour or so great. Oh and our air canada rep that was suppose to be at the hotel for questions etc....never saw them until our departure day for the taxi and even then he was late and we all didn't know what was going on. Would never use Air Canada vacations again nor trip central as they could and never did get back on my email questions. Also the "premier" room means crap other than you can see the ocean from your balcony. So that sums it up! Weather was good though! Oh and can walk to town in about 20 to 30 min, nice walk also!

Iberostar Waves Cozumel: Good mid-level resort, some issues with room

This was a beautiful hotel, with a large, spread out arrangement of small 2 storey buildings w/ 8 rooms a piece. Breakfast and dinner are both served at the building closest to the entrance to the property, so if you are in a beach side room, as we were, just expect an ~ 500 m walk (each way) to your meal. We had 3 year old twins with us, who suddenly lost the ability to walk when required, and insisted on being carried each time, in the hot sun. Not bringing a stroller was my fault, but it de [... read more]finitely affected my feelings about this place. The room was small, almost European in feel, but had everything we needed. That was, until the fridge broke, the ice bucket broke, the a/c stopped working (for whole resort) for a day, and the shower always toggled b/w cold and hot constantly, such that my children screamed in pain when i would try to wash the sand out of their nether regions. There is also a hammock directly outside of everyone’s room door, which ended up just being a nuisance b/c it was always in the way when we were coming and going. The food was pretty decent, and almost always available. Maybe some things would get swept away quickly, ahem mango, and you’d have a better chance of getting toilet paper during a corona virus freak out, but there were plenty of options. Plates, however, were often in short supply. The pools were not heated, and even though it was ~25-28 outside, everyone screamed upon entry. Cozumel is a very windy island, so you will be quite chilled if you try to sit half in and half out of the pool. The only kiddie pool options were very small and had two depth choices, 6 inches and 12 inches. I’m not kidding. Needless to say, almost no children wanted to play in these.... puddles? Babies less than 12 months seemed to like them. But we ended up renting a Jeep ($50/day) and driving to the windy side of the island where one reef breaks the waves and all the locals take their kids. Went there 4 days in a row, and LOVED it. There was a solar powered ice cream bike/cart who came in the afternoons and served the best lemon/lime ice cream i could imagine. The beach at the resort was lovely. Don’t expect to be able to walk in, as there is a big rocky out cropping right at the water line, but there is a dock with stairs at the end to bypass this. If you have kids like mine, this might be an issue. My toddlers wanted to wade in, not walk 150 feet down a “scary” dock and then into 5 ft deep water. But for most people, this would be a non-issue. There are two parrots named Pepe and Hugo who live in the lobby, loose, and they were the highlight of the trip for us.

Occidental Cozumel: Beautiful resort!!

The grounds were beautiful with lush gardens and trees!! Beach was clean but disappointed in the ocean rocks and constant waves!! No swim up pool but clean and cold lol Food was good but buffets very small and not a lot of variety!! Services was great especially Carlos and Rayana!!! Rooms were clean and gorgeous!! Overall had an amazing trip and highly recommended!!

Allegro Cozumel: Our stay at Allegro Cozumel

Overall we had a great time, wish the kids / families that were there had utilized the kids pool more than they did. There are 3 pools, a kids pool, a more family oriented pool, and a bigger pool with swim-up bar/entertainment - we took this to be the adult pool, still lots of kids around/loud families Also wish there was a sign / rule about “reserving chairs” at the pool. There needs to be a rule in place that it is not allowed - this is what we were told upon arrival. Otherwise, they need more chairs by all pools and on the beach. Food was good, the Japanese A La Carte is a must - hibachi grill! The Mexican was also thebomb.com. Buffet had different “themes” every night/morning. Breakfast was mediocre - bacon was almost always empty, but was still decent! Omelette bar was our go-to every morning. Pools were clean, the waitors/staff by the pool always made sure our drinks were full, pool was spotless and that we were taken care of! Overall great stay! Would recommend to families with young kids, maybe not young couples on honey moons or older couples looking to relax - lots of kids running around, parents occasionally yelling at them, splashing, jumping, etc.

Occidental Cozumel: Very Relaxing Resort

Rooms very clean and spacious. Grounds well kept. short walk to all areas, pools lobby and ocean. Buffets are a tad small. Staff gave very good service. Ocean a bit rocky going in. Not much going on for entertainment at night.

Grand Park Royal Cozumel: Excellent resort

At first i thought the beach located across the street from the hotel would be a problem however you did not realize the street at all. Great views if the sea and cruise port. It was something new everyday. Food was good, hotel was close enough to everything. Pool and beach was also good. Snorkelled right off the beach.

Iberostar Waves Cozumel: Enjoyable holiday!!

The hotel was clean and the grounds were beautiful. Our room was great with a nice balcony and pool view. The staff were very helpful and made our stay very comfortable. The waters were a bit rough while we were there as the weather was cooler then normal so the snorkelling was not as good as usual. We did snorkel off the end of the dock and did see some colourful fish. I would recommend this hotel and would go back for another winter vacation. Linda & Ross Beattie

Allegro Cozumel: Terrible tesort

The buffet was horrible at every meal. There was nothing to pick from And a lot of the food was tasteless! No alcoholic beverages were served before noon! They said it was a Mexican law! Not even Mamosa with breakfast! Even though we paid for all-inclusive we had to go across the road to an outside restaurant to have meals and alcoholic beverages! In the seven days we were there there was only one night of Nightlife. The rest of the time the outdoor theatre had movies for kids. Nothing for adults to enjoy. All this being said the resort was clean and the staff was very friendly and accommodating!

Iberostar Waves Cozumel: Nice place!!

The resort grounds were very tropical and nice. Food was pretty decent. Beach was kind of a turn off because of all the rock. Entertainment was great but the only thing is there was not much going on afterwards. More of a night life would have been ideal!! Overall I’d give it a 7out 10

The food was great, the accommodations were nice. Was disappointed that I upgraded to prestige. Did not find it worth the extra money. Not really any extra perks with the upgrade to prestige. None of the workers had any knowledge of the upgrade and there was one spot on resort for prestige which we didnt even find until our 3rd day.

Allegro Cozumel: Above expectations

My wife and I booked a two week dream vacation. The reviews do not do the Allegro justice. There were some minor issues but stuff happens, that's life. get over it. The resort was amazing, saw some wildlife and the snorkeling right off the beach was beautiful.
