Camino Real Zaashila: Lovely quiet getaway

This charming resort is nestled into a beautiful bay just a short drive from Le Crucecita. This was our second stay at Camino Real Zaashila and the resort does not disappoint. Although the resort is starting to show its age, you forget about that as soon as you settle in. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The food is authentic Mexican and wonderful fresh seafood. The beach is lovely and uncrowded, but the ocean is a bit rough, especially for smaller children. The only caution I have is that there are quite a few stairs so it can be a problem if you have mobility issues. Shopping in the nearby town is varied and lots of fun. So yes, the resort is starting to show its age, but it is definitely worth a visit.

Secrets Huatulco: well run hotel

no coffee no beach towels no pool side chairs this was a constant complaint from many guests the hotel also had no tables at chin chin on friday nite the place is full of canadians from west coast the turtle release tour was great

Las Brisas Huatulco: It was a wonderful trip!

The hotel was everything we could have hoped for and more. The weather was perfect, the resort was clean and the staff were like non other. They all went above and beyond to ensure we had an amazing time and had everything we need. We went on the falls tour, and it was very worth it, and made for a wonderful day. Dreams Huatulco: Relaxing vacation

Enjoyed are stay here food was good and lots of variety. A quiet resort with some families but mostly aged over 45. Enjoyed the walks on the beach and kayaking. Did notice people putting out towels on several chairs and not using them but that is just disrespectful on the part of the people not the resort

Secrets Huatulco: AMA omg resort

This unique resort is nothing like I’ve seen before. Views staff were top notch, do anything to make your stay a pleasure.. food was great lots of options. Beach was beautiful❤️ Rooms were large and very hard working housekeeping staff. The spa was beautiful and massage was best I’ve ever had.

Las Brisas Huatulco: Las Brisas Comfort

The Las Brisas resort in Huatulco Mexico was very comfortable and the food choices were varied. The rooms were comfortable with lots of space and small fridge that was kept stocked daily, the coffee machines (pod type) were inconvenient as you only got one regular and one decaf a day. The staff were very accommodating for your requests in a timely manner even with the long commutes from the main buildings to some of the suites. The shuttle service around the resort was frequent and speedy even though we only used it a few times as we like to walk. The three beaches are all great and finding chairs somewhere was not an issue unless you wanted to be front and centre, there was always a place on the grass or at the third beach near the water activity centre. The food in some of the alacarte was inconsistent from night to night, but the buffet dinners where always varied and provide fresh grilled items daily both for lunch and dinner. Kitchen staff seemed to be aware of gluten allergies and were very helpfull and accommodating.The location of the resort was private yet close to several towns that are easily reached by walking or taking a taxi at set prices.

Secrets Huatulco: Wonderful beach and views

We loved the resort and especially our accommodation which was a swim up room on the uppermost level of our building. The restaurants were varied and, for the most part, served tasty meals. We especially enjoyed dining at the two outdoor restaurants which were beautifully lit in the evening - very romantic atmosphere!! The service was very good and the resort and its grounds very well kept and clean. That was fine with us although those with mobility issues might find this inconvenient. Secrets Huatulco is definitely a superior resort architecturally and scenically. It can accommodate a large group of people, though, which means the facilities particularly the pool area can be quite crowded during the day.

Dreams Huatulco: A definite Dream!!!

This hotel, grounds, staff, food and drinks were far superior to any resort we have been to. A definite dream destination that we would return to anytime. We travelled with our 9 year old daughter and felt very safe and she loved everything about it.

Villablanca Huatulco: It is a GEM

Our first visit to the Villablanca 3rd time in Huatulco. We fell in love with this little resort. Everything was to our liking from the pool to the morning buffet. We did not use the beach club. But visited a lot of the local beach's. The location of the resort is perfect close to everything. Many good restaurants in the area. We ate many meals at the resort the food served for lunch and supper were excellent. I am looking forward to are next visit. NOTE...This is an older crowd.

Park Royal Beach Huatulco: Park Royal Hotel in Huatulco

My first impression of the hotel.... nobody was there to greet us. I was very disappointed. First time that this has ever happened to us. We carried our own luggage up the stairs. Hotel is located in the side of a mountain/hill. Lots and lots of stairs. No elevators. The hotel provided rides up and down to your room and to the beach area. The rooms were nice and spacious. Breakfast is your best bet. Pools were nice. One thing to know about this hotel....Its not on the ocean. Brush up on your Spanish lessons, You will need it.

Holiday Inn Huatulco: Loved this resort!!

The hotel was clean, staff were great.....friendly and helpful! The location was great....close to everything. My only suggestion would be to expand the pool area....not really enough lounge chairs. The menu for the all inclusive could be enhanced as well.

Barcelo Huatulco: Resort was nice. Too many smokers.

This resort lived up to expectations. Was right on the water, most rooms had a great view of the ocean. Lots of places to eat - just decent food. Bar in pool was great. Couple of issues - everybody smoked. Everywhere. Even in the pool. Even with the posted no smoking signs. Staff did not enforce. Same with the ‘no chair reservation’ rule. No enforcement. We did manage to find spots in the semi shade everyday though, so that was good. Staff was fantastic, other than the non enforcement  [... read more]of rules. Activity personal we’re enthusiastic, wait staff was mostly terrific and the guys who serve drinks at the pool were nothing short of phenomenal

Las Brisas Huatulco: Very natural setting.

Just spent a week at las Brisas. This resort is spread out in a natural area. Very nice with wildlife and flowers . They have a very good taxi service that takes you all over the resort. No worries if you can't walk. Check in was quick and easy. Food was all good although the Morrocan was a bit sketchy. Lots of pools and always a place to put your towel. Bars I lost count but your never far from one and they have baby Coronas in the rooms. Good entertainment a t night and some nice singers at [... read more] the main bar to. Great place I would go back again and yes I would recommend this place to everyone.

Dreams Huatulco: Fantastic Vacation!

Very nice resort. Rooms are clean and well kept. Food is very good. Some of the best we have had in Mexico. Nice beach and pool area. Friendly staff. Only negative is people getting up at 6am to save beach chairs.

Holiday Inn Huatulco: Great place to stay

All Staff very warm and welcoming. Rooms very clean. FYI.....most rooms do not have a refrigerator, Service is great! Wifi was very good. Centrally located, its in walking distance to centre of town. Marina is close by, as well as a beach, small craft market, pharmacy, are 5 minutes away. There are some good restaurants nearby if looking for a change. The hotel is generally quiet, a good place for R&R. Food is good, even though there have been some menu reductions. The bar only offers do [... read more]mestic alcohol so if your looking for a particular kind of whiskey or Gin get it from duty free as it may not be found.

Las Brisas Huatulco: Enjoyed our stay

Very nice and huge property: big and green with many stairs, but golf carts will deliver you quickly to almost any place. Beautiful views. Great beach with very good opportunity for snorkeling right there - some days are better, some worse but still really impressing when this is right at hotel property. Free water sports activities.If you will be looking for shaded place - you will need to reserve the beach-beds before 7 a:m. Towel service from 9-5 only. Very clean property: rooms, beach, par [... read more]k or other facilities. Nice and sincerely glad to help staff. We were very happy to tip, which they deserved 110%. Very often really amazing. Unfortunately, not always enough staff to serve and often no very fluent in English, but not critical. Had some issues with A/C and water, but all was completely fixed during 2 hours, which was really amazing. Average food: fresh, but nothing special or fancy. La-carte restaurants - nothing special - may be easily skipped. Not much to see in the area, especially if this is not your first time in Mexico. Very few young people and families with kids, mostly preferred place for mature couple/groups. Many people coming there not once and love the place.

Dreams Huatulco: Love this resort, except....

All great, except one thing - which we felt important. People were allowed to basically send someone out at 5am to reserve maybe 6 prime chairs (with umbrellas) around the pools, or on the beach. These were then unavailable to anyone else for the entire day. Same people holding the same chairs - every day, all week. The resort needs to fix this, or we will not be back.

Isla Natura Beach: Not sure...

We didn't say at Isla Natura Beach we stayed at Dreams Huatolco due to a last minute change. Dreams was amazing!!! I highly recommend for a slow paced week in the sun at a beautiful resort with excellent service.

Las Brisas Huatulco: Beautiful resort!

We stayed at this resort for a week in January. It was our first time to Huatulco. My first time to Mexico. We were very impressed by the resort. The service was fantastic! The food was very good. The grounds are beautiful. It sits on about 50 acres and I don't even feel I saw the whole resort while we were there. It is built into a cliff so it is very hilly. You pretty well have to take a cart to get back to your room. That would be the only drawback, if you have mobility issues. [... read more] You really think twice about running back to your room, it's kind of an trek to go back but I loved the vegetation and grounds. And the employees are very quick to pick you up from your room when you call. If you enjoy playing tennis or pickle ball, there are tons of courts! And the tennis pro was very nice and accommodating. I would also recommend going on the bird walk in the mornings. The hotel supplied us with binoculars and the tour guide had a telescope. He was very interesting, it was a lot of fun! Truly beautiful! We would go back!

Camino Real Zaashila: So Perfect

We had a beautiful stay at Zaashila. Everything in our room worked well and the view was perfect. The grounds, pool, staff and tranquility were exactly what we needed. Some truly wonderful people make your time there effortless. Breakfasts and lunches were really enjoyable, the only downside was dinners were a little disappointing given that the other two meals were more consistent in quality. I can appreciate  [... read more]that between the quinceañera and the wedding that were back to back that resources may have been stretched a little thin, and I can appreciate that. That being said, it was very simple to take a cab to Crucecita or walk down the road across from Dreams and have a really good meal, and that should be part of the Huatulco experience regardless, so all good. Our small group excursion that we booked through our tour operator was really nice. Very environmentally conscious guide who was passionate about sharing his world with us.
